Envoy is a cloud-based visitor management and registration solution that serves businesses of all sizes across various industries. It is compatible with iPad 3 or newer running iOS 8 or later.

Core features include visitor registration, automated user notifications, digital document signing, badge printing and visitor pre-registration. It provides a real-time view of all visitors in a building. Users can also set up multiple admin accounts, view analytics, and extract audit and compliance reports.

Users can access visitor information on mobile devices using the Envoy Passport mobile app as well as through desktop web browsers. Envoy offers integration with host directories, file sharing, sales and marketing and other software.

Envoy is available with monthly and annual subscription pricing. Customer support is provided over the phone, via email, live chat and online help articles. It is available globally and supports various languages such as Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English and French.

Pretty cool product, doing a good job of aggregating, good growth touch points to engage

Pros

Clean UX, great customer support, easy to add offices, good admin settings / preferences. Once you have the software set up, you're humming. The slack integration is great too.

Cons

You have to order your materials yourself, but Envoy makes it easy, just an extra step. Other than that I think it's a great software.

NDA and notice on who comes in and out of the office

Pros

It was simple to install and integrate onto Slack, so notification is great and simple. We also use the standard NDA and that has been helpful.

Cons

So far everything has been working well. Although, I wish that when I manually update the contact list on the computer, I would get a notification saying that it has been updated on the app as well. This is something small though.

Got rid or our outdated log in book. We look more organized and tech savvy.

Pros

Our vendors and VIP's are always impressed when I ask them to check in via the iPad. Being able to get rid our log book is great. It made us look stone age.

Cons

I have only been working with the software for 3 months and at this time I really don't have any cons.

Easy to track who is onsite at all times.

Pros

Being able to invite visitors ahead of time to keep up who is planning a visit and to see who is onsite at different times of the day.

Cons

Having to verify my email on each devise I set up either email, phone, tablet, etc. Not a big deal just takes more time. Seems that if you verify once that should be enough.

Cons

Been here before is a great feature, however it might be better to connect it with visitor's name rather than email, or both.

Cons

Notifications on Slack are sometimes late. It can take up to 5-10 minutes at times to get a notification, so it would be very helpful to improve this.

Creating an effective office management and maintaining a database of those who come in to our office.

Pros

Envoy support is quick, responsive, and invested. We use Envoy to support our operation in which people check-in at our front desk. The features and functions at the free level are bar-none. We are looking at possibly adding additional stations and perhaps moving to the paid version which adds a host of additional features too!
I honestly cannot think of a problem or issue with this software. The help desk team helped us resolve issues quickly and effectively, the software functions cleanly and swiftly, and the software has helped our office serve our students!

Very fast way to log in your visitors. Simple set up. Love the printed badges. Simple to operate for visitors.

Cons

Would be great if it would text arrivals and photos on the free one. Occasionally looses connection either the printer.

Envoy is the wave of the future for Reception. She is my virtual assistant. I am no longer subject to office hours and our visitors check-in schedule. I am free to move about the office, run errands and concentrate on other, more important parts of my job. Guests checking in have the option to input their name and other details which helps track and record visitor info. The check-in notification is instantly sent to the host with integrations including text and Slack. While it helps streamline the check-in process, the biggest benefit is to those front desk admins who are virtually chained to the front desk. It'll have you chanting "I'm free, I'm free!" I know I did :)

Cons

Only issue we've run into is with deliveries from FedEx or UPS that need a signature. It would be great if there was an option to virtually sign for packages...maybe one day!

Envoy is simple for our visitors to use. This is important to us because we routinely have anywhere from 10 to 100 customers in the building. Tracking who is in the building helps our Project Managers keep track of their customers. Being able to export visitor logs is also very helpful in case of an emergency or for reporting. Overall, we have had a great experience using Envoy and is leaps and bounds better than having a physical (paper) visitor sign-in sheet.

Cons

Very little to complain about, but sometimes the iPad goes offline and when it comes back online the syncing is not immediate.

The landscape mode for signing in could use some improvement. Some of the fields are hidden below the keyboard which can cause confusion. A dual or two column sign in for landscape would be a great addition.

easy checkin and badge printing for guests

Pros

Convenient. Fast. Easy to setup/manage. I can easily import a spread sheet with all the new hires to update the data base

Cons

Been supporting this envoy for a while and I don't see any real cons. Many other companies including the building property management uses this product.

Company guests are logged, sign NDA and notify who they are visiting without needing someone to be there

Pros

Ease of setup with iPad and printer. Integrations to existing systems (AD, HipChat). User experience for guests, they love to use the system.

Cons

It was a bit expensive when we initially investigated the purchase but we managed to get a better price speaking to our account manager.

Sometimes email notifications are delayed.

helps with coordinating interview onsites with candidates!

Pros

Ease of use + simplicity. UI is gorgeous. I feel like most of the features in the app tie into the overarching theme of simplicity.

Cons

The only issue I encounter on a regular basis and this could be because I'm not awake or had my coffee yet but I mix up "visitors "and "invitees" tab when I need to add someone into the system who is scheduled to come to our office.

Sometimes I get confused when my invitees sit in the queue for the day of they are scheduled to come in and it looks like they signed in but they havent yet. I can take a screen shot and show you what I'm talking about.

It was easy and affordable to deploy and easy for the end user to use. Our front desk is often unattended, so our visitors really appreciate the ability to sign in and that it notifies the person they are here to see.

Cons

The one thing lacking is the ability for the visitor to put in the notification what company they are with. My colleague has spoken to support about this and suggested that enhancement.

The major benefit for our company is in time saving as visitor information was previously gathered manually and then entered into a spread sheet due to C-TPAT requirements. It has also made the sign in process much quicker for our visitors and notifies the host via email that their visitor has arrived.

Pros

Ease of use for both visitors and myself as administrator. Easy to complete searches, fill in missing information and sign out visitors when they forget, which maintains an integrity of information.

Cons

Some visitors do not want to provide an email address and have to go through the whole sign in procedure if they visit again.

It has enhanced our security process of our facility by helping us anticipate our visitors.

Pros

It's easy to use. It has helped us streamline and control who has access to our facility. I like the SMS and email feature that notifies the host when their guests check in. It saves trees. We incorporate a visitor agreement in the sign-in process that used to be a paper copy.

Cons

Guests can forget to "Sign Out". Perhaps an email and /or SMS message can be sent to hosts if their guests are still "Signed In" after a certain period of time.
