A complete phone system in the cloud

It feels great to be part of a global company that makes us feel bigger than we are. We are bi-coastal and spend a lot of time out of the office. I can get incoming calls as if I were sitting at my desk regardless of where I am. OnRelay can be customized in so many ways. We have separate announcement messages for each location, and can easily toggle between being present in each location or just one. OnRelay is particularly good at working with small customers who have special requirements. Support is highly qualified and very fast. Although it is based on cell phones, we also use a hard wired hand set for use in the office. It is a bonus that comes at no charge. It is a very economical way to have a powerful phone system.

PROS

No physical phone computer is needed. Easy to deploy Great personal and qualified support I am able to have a physical handset as well as the cell phone Easy to add additional lines, toggle features. It is very affordable.

CONS

I probably do not fully exploit its potential. It has a lot of depth, that I have not spent the time to explore.

Reason for choosing OnRelay

It was cell phone based so I did not have to purchase IP phones. Later, I did buy used IP phones that were very inexpensive and I think they must last forever as I have never had an issue.

Reasons for switching to OnRelay

We moved and I did not want to reproduce the cost of the old system in our new location. This was virtually free to set up. It also allowed us to integrate two offices on the East and West coast into a consolidated system. I think this has to be the future with so many remote employees.

Good fit & good service

The biggest benefit for us is the multi-locations. We are spread between 3 to 4 locations but treat our office as a single office. So having a single set of communication is important.

PROS

I like the ability to have my team spread out across various offices. I like the option to have a direct line for various users and to have the global lines reach whichever users we choose and at whatever time we choose. I like that whenever I want something different or have an idea about implementation, I can talk to support and they are very very quick to address it.

CONS

I find it a bit slow to connect via the cell phone app (may take an extra ring or two) and that there is often communication lag via cell phone connections. It consistently works much better from the desk phones.

Reason for choosing OnRelay

We were previously just using cellphones and a two line land line for the main office number but as we expanded locations, transfering calls was a problem. We needed a system that could handle multiple office locations as well as home offices for telecommuting.

Pro and Cons

I am not sold on this kind of service as it has not been working as it should since the beginning especially when it comes to incoming calls and quality on the sound.

PROS

The option of having the mainline on any phone and accessibility.

CONS

Does not work at all time like a landline.

Reasons for switching to OnRelay

We moved to another office and we were renting offices from another company and had no access to landlines.

Good service once you dial it in.

They are a good group and very responsive. But sometimes systems go down and when they do they can adversely affect your business.

PROS

It is easy to use once it is set up. But getting there can be a bit of an issue. It is a good system and easy to use and basically makes your office anywhere you can get cell service.

CONS

Sometimes it glitches, software updates on your cell phone can be a problem, and it takes time to address. So you can miss a few calls. Sometimes it drops calls also.

Best app for your business

They have helped a lot and are very responsive

OnRelay is the most cost effective and well rounded small business solution for a phone system

Good for basics, but bad for transferring calls from user to user

PROS

It works when you use it in the office between registered user and non-registered user

Every time we try to transfer a call from a registered user using the app, to another registered user in the office, the call drops,

Thank you for leaving a review. We are glad to see the basics work as they should, but sorry to see you have had recurring problems transferring calls. We have looked into this as a follow up to your review, and found one scenario where Polycom IP phones that have had a change to their public IP address sometimes must be rebooted to receive call transfers correctly. We mention this since we have previously recorded a few security related incidents per your ISP having changed the public IP of your Internet connection. Otherwise there were significant changes to our signaling protocols necessitated by iOS 13 last fall for iPhone users, which could impact call transfers for iOS 13 users that had not also upgraded our app. So it is important automatic app upgrades are switched on. We are otherwise not aware of or able to reproduce any call transfer problems on our live service, and we will welcome call examples to the contrary if you are still experiencing problems.

Overall a great product

PROS

The ease of calling when away from office landlines.

CONS

The app and the transfer capabilities are faulty. The app does not work when calls are being transferred to the designated line -- it drops the call. Otherwise, the product is good.

Reasons for switching to OnRelay

VoiP was preferred. We also liked the feature of having the ability to carry your work like with you.

Someone from our support team will be in touch shortly to investigate why you are having problems with app call transfers. On a general note there were a lot of changes done to our mobile app's signaling mechanisms due to a number of new restrictions imposed by iOS 13 that was released by Apple last fall. So it is really important to update to the latest version of our mobile app from the Apple app store, and also to turn on automatic updating.

Great Product, even better Customer Service

The product is great, but the Customer Service team is even better. No matter what time it is, or what the issue is (usually a user generated problem) they are quick, friendly, and always have the right solution.

PROS

The ease of use and the flexibility of the product are unbeatable. No matter where my team is, I know they will be connected and in the loop.

CONS

The iPhone app could use a face-lift, but it works well which is the most important part.

OnRelay service

PROS

We are a travel agent that use phones a lot since most of our customers contact us by calling in. I like that more than one staff can answer calls to our toll free number and use both their office landline and their smartphone.

CONS

We have been a customer since 2013. In the early days they had stability problems, but when there is a problem they have always been very quick to respond and resolve it.

Onrelay

We would like to get a tutorial on how to use phones with receivers; it is not intuitive

PROS

Customer service and that it is with me in or out of the office

CONS

Calls are being missed and voicemail is not working all the time.

OnRelay Review

We use OnRelay to forward office calls to mobile phones We signed up when we got rid of our landlines and need to have one number for the office with the option for callers to connect to specific staff people

PROS

That I can get calls when away from the office

CONS

I cannot always see what number is calling me. I cannot always easily retrieve messages.

Thank you for leaving a review. We noticed you are using a dated version of Apple's iOS on your iPhone. We recommend you upgrade your iPhone to iOS 13.x, as our software upgrades for iPhone are mainly tested with recent iOS versions. There were in particular quite a few changes needed under the hood with the introduction of iOS 13 last fall that could e.g. affect caller ID presentation.

OnRelay Suits our Company needs

We can serve our customers no matter where we are. That is critical for us. It's a nice solution for our business.

There were some bugs for a time, but the customer support is FAST and resolves the problem quickly.

Amazing product

Excellent customer service

We have had a few issues with our iPhone apps, but they have been fixed right away
