Pros/Cons
Pros
- But Logos is more powerful and feature rich than others. It seems very mature and polished having a professional feel to it.
- Amazed at the detail in the programming. Makes for an extended learning curve - but all the various training videos are a great help.
- Logos is the Cadillac of bible study software. It has amazing built-in tools, a vast free library, and a great store to add more books to your library.
Cons
- This is one the most unethical things I have witnessed and it is no difference than someone walking in my house and stealing over 2,000 volumes from my library.
- It can be cumbersome to use. You can also get lost in the product.
- The inability to import resources to my kindle.
Pros
- We had been using MS PowerPoint before this, so MediaShout was a fantastic upgrade. The ability to integrate moving backgrounds was a wonderful addition and the controls were much easier.
- This has been a great tool to implement in our church setting. We have gotten great response from it, and it has been easy to train our new recruits for Sunday services.
- A great investment for our audio & visual ministry - webinars, download packs, training videos, great tech support, great features, easy script building, approx 69 versions of the Bible.
Cons
- Some tabs are not well laid out and key functions are sometimes hard to find. Some changes from previous versions are illogical and make the whole experience somewhat frustrating.
- Extremely difficult to use. It will not read older MediaShout files, you cannot import older MediaShout files without losing all changes.
- The responsiveness of the customer service department was beyond poor. The first budget item I requested was funds for an alternative product.
