My overall experience with Microsoft Authenticator has been great, Ever since we adopted remote work full-time, it has helped us with password management and protection from all our accounts. This has helped us know if someone else is trying to log on to one of our accounts without permission or without our knowledge and helps us protect ourselves and the data and information on the accounts and sites we use. This has to be one of the best security investment tools if you deal with multiple accounts and sites daily.

What I like the most about Microsoft Authenticator is Password Management. Since most people have adopted remote working, devices, and information is vulnerable to cyber threats and hacking, and to protect myself and my team, I have installed Microsoft Authenticator to help me manage my passwords and to know where and when someone logs into any of my accounts that I have synced with Microsoft Authenticator.

Sometimes scanning the QR code might be tricky and one might fail to log in to their accounts if they lose their phone.

This gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that no one can get into any of my accounts unless they have my phone. It's worth it for peace of mind especially if you handle large purchases on behalf of a large company.

There was a recent update that went from having the authenticator ask you to click approve on your phone to now requiring an additional step of scanning your fingerprint that's in your phone or putting your phones lock screen pin which is quite annoying to me. I wish it was just the approve button from before but I understand the need for additional security.

It has been very good. I set up accounts, use them, thats it. No fuss or having to redo things. Moving to a new mobile phone is also easy and straightforward with the instructions they provide.

They disabled the Apple Watch integration that allowed you to approve a login from your Apple Watch. The backup process requires you have a personal Microsoft Account. I would like to back up to my enterprise account.

Microsoft Authenticator is great for the versatility of being able to login to different secure sites from the same mobile app. I use it for our own software in our legal practice as well as for some law related government website. Authenticator is essentially a handy hub for two-factor authentification in one convenient location. The app also works with the Apple Watch which is great.

Sometimes I forget to look at the facial recognition after beginning the Authenticator process and this causes a delay but this is my impatience rather than a fault with the app.

It's an easy-to-set-up and use tool for any business that needs 2FA. Without excessive tech knowledge it can be ready to use in minutes; so a great tool for companies who need to have 2FA for further security whose employees are not all tech geeks. Its "remember" feature comes in handy as well, as no matter how easy, it's still a bother to go through 2FA every time you log into a platform, especially when you're in a hurry.

It randomly logs you out from time to time, not much of a deal as it's very easy to log back in. But; the real issue is the mobile experience. If you're trying to log into an app on your mobile device, where you also have your Authenticator set up, you have to switch between platforms. And sometimes, the pop-up where you type the code comes right on top of the verification code display screen, which disables you from seeing the code in the first place. So you're basically stuck at that point. Sometimes the code appears a few seconds before the type pop-up, in that case, and if you're quick, no problem with sign-on.

It's simple to use and has good connectivity with other apps.

If you are suspicious or just curious, you may review the recent activity of each account protected by Microsoft Authenticator. 6. The password tab lets you store passwords or other data in the app and syncs it across all the signed-in devices. 7. You may use multiple Microsoft accounts. 8. The app is protected by a PIN, pattern lock or fingerprint for added security, so if somebody snoops into your mobile, he may not access the app. 9. It runs in the background and lets you access some accounts without bothering to open the app. 10. You can also import passwords from Chrome and other browsers.

1. The security code is not hidden. If someone can see the mobile screen from a hidden camera, there is a possibility of misuse. 2. You have to disable battery optimization to let Authenticator show the notifications even on low batteries. 3. When you switch apps and return to the authenticator app, it does not ask for app lock authentication, which may be a security loophole.

AS long as third parties do not have any problem, this software does its job incredibly. However, if the third party has an issue, authenticator just does not work without telling you what is going on. For example if the admin of your company does not allow you to access a program without updates, this program will not authenticate the outlook app in your phone. Yet, it will not tell you that it is because of your admin prevents you.

Most of the time you did not really need to even engage with the program. It does its job pretty smoothly and quickly.

Whenever there is a problem with authenticating, it is impossible to understand what is going on. Program does not provide any further explanation or help on fixing the issues.

Great tool, minimal requirement if possible on cloud services is MFA. Ms authenticator works with a lot of services, like paypal, facebook, linkedin, Microsoft 365 and so on!

I love how Microsoft Authenticator makes multi-factor authentication easy and secure. After setting it up on my mobile device, it's automatically linked to my work account. Upon signing onto my machine through VPN, I'm also then prompted to enter my passcode on my phone. The app is very easy to use. Basic, but does it's specific function flawlessly.

I have little bad to say about this tool. I guess the initial setup on my phone took some time, maybe 10-15 minutes. But this is a small price to pay for the added security.

I like the convenience of a mobile application, which provides the one-time passwords. I like that I am able to view and manage multiple accounts from one place.

I also currently used Okta Verify as a means of MFA for specific client access. Okta Verify offers the option for a push notification, which you can easily 1-click approve, as opposed to manually typing in the code. I do like having this option, which is not provided with MS Authenticator.

Overall great product, as a firm, we are moving towards multi-factor authentication for anything we use to product our data as well as the data of our clients and this tool makes it easy

What I like most about this software is the added security - I like that it is a microsoft product and can help secure all of the various microsoft tools I use on a day to day basis. It is a simple app on my phone that I use everyday.

I have had issues with the authenticator app on my phone when I got a new phone and had to ask IT for assistance to re-link to my profile etc.

Sometimes there are small bugs which means that notifications are not sent to my phone properly when an authentication request is sent to the tool but this is a minor issue and has no impact on my job or the quality of this tool

We can easily approve log-in requests via mobile by using biometric. That is a great feature to authenticate our account very quickly.
