Best "remote" receptionist there is!
Its been fun and easy to use for both our clients and myself. We don't have a receptionist yet, because our office isn't set up that way. However, this is great to use because our clients can sort of help themselves until someone comes out to assist them.
PROSI love that we can make this extremely customizable so that the clients feel like they're truly getting taken care of and not just another number. The check in process is super important because that's like a first impression, so I love how we can customize it to certain visitors.
CONSPricing is a bit off to me. I think we wish there was the ability to have a Basic package for employee contacts over 24. We have about 30 or so, but don't need everything that Premium offers. Premium is the next level up in order to include over 24 ppl.

An experience worth far more than the cost.
Automation, cost savings from using paper visitor logs, and ease of use!
PROSThere is not enough space to say all the Pros with the receptionist. The most astounding and remarkable feature of The Receptionist is the customer service and support. In the several months I've been using it, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a problem solution. The problems are solved almost immediately, and if they can't be, we figure out an alternate solution to the problem at hand. Furthermore, this is a company that actually LISTENS and DEPLOYS suggestions. I've submitted several suggestions to them, and almost all of them have been implemented. If the suggestion benefits the overall experience of the customers, it gets added very quickly! In the years I've spent in IT and using dozens different applications and software, this is one that actually listens to it's customers and works very close with them to ensure everyone is happy. There's an abundance of different features you can customize to what you need your receptionist to do. We use 2 for lobby "visitor" check-in, and one for the shipping department for truck drivers to check in and clock their time. It's incredibly versatile!
CONSFor an advanced user, some features feel a little bit limited, however they are quickly working on improving functionality of certain features to make it even more versatile! There aren't many cons I can come up with!

Overall, this as worked ok. The IDEA of it is amazing. It is just missing a few components to make it perfect. It has been very nice and opened up the line of communication and convenience with clients. In this line of work the ability to upload fillable documents and/or the ability to print out directly what they provide rather than having to convert information would be a huge help.
PROSThe convenience of it is exceptional for my clients. Especially those who have transportation conflicts. They can check in and report to me through the link which is very very nice for them and for me. I am in an office by myself so this has been very handy.
CONSI am in the court system so we have to chrono and keep documents of everything. I wish there was a way to upload fillable documents my clients could fill out and than submit to me where I can print them out directly. Or give them an option to print directrly to my office. My computer does not convert over nicely and it is a hassle when I have so many clients checking in. I do not have the time to convert each report individually.

Fantastic from start to finish!
Professionalism, Health & Safety compliance, value for money!!
PROSThe entire software really is superb, I cannot fault it. I have had many of our visitors remark on its simplicity. All in all, I have found my user and administrator experience excellent. That's from my first inquiry about the software, straight through to delivery, including iPad and printer! And the support, which for me is the strongest attribute, is absolutely outstanding. I have found the support to be responsive, professional, patient and polite. And with me being in the Republic of Ireland, that's all with a time difference. I have for the most part been dealing with the lovely customer service agent, who has been brilliant, but that said, any other operator I have been in touch with have equally been as helpful and obliging. On a few occasions, I have also used the extremely useful notes and guidelines and they are spot on, so accurately written and easy to follow. The value for money is amazing and with unlimited everything, you simply can't beat this product. So simple to use as a guest and so easy and straight forward to use as an operator. I highly recommend The Receptionist to any business looking to introduce a visitor management system.
CONSThere is nothing I dislike about The Receptionist BUT if I had to choose one thing, the only con I can come up with (and it really is not a big deal) is that our logo doesn't print out in its full colour.

Very positive. Visitors also appreciate how easy it is.

Receptionist Great for school volunteer check-in
The customer service and assistance with set-up was incredible. [sensitive content hidden] was so patient and helpful with all aspects that she made it fun and educational.
PROSThe Receptionist is easy to install, use and allows us to keep track of all the volunteers on our school campus. It is also helpful in the event of emergency that we can have a list of our volunteers on campus so we can have a complete head count.
CONSIf you want to have your visitor name badges/labels in 4 color they are very expensive so I wish there was a less expensive alternative.

I couldn't be happier with both the product and the service.
it is easy to use and makes for a more efficient sign in process. if there is a problem the support staff is quick to respond and help find an solution to whatever your issue is.
CONSI have no serious cons to list. the only slight complaint I would have would be the limited ability to design and customize fonts for the home page.

The Receptionist
I love this product. Super simple to set up, customize, change/update, and manage. A real great 'set it and forget it' kind of product.
CONSWhile i'm not 100% sure it has anything to do with the app, sometimes when a guest is typing in their name the keyboard goes completely crazy and makes it difficult. While not really a 'con' per se, but a feature request would be to have it make a phone call, announcement over a PA or maybe a prerecorded message, or something similar. Maybe relay it through Twilio or something similar?

The Receptionist has been a game changer for our company
We like most that it is able to keep a directory of all of our employees and then when a visitor comes in it sends them a text message that they are here.
CONSThe app has crashed a few times but other than that we have not had many issues with the software itself.

Instant Notifications!!
This was the best purchase we made during our move to the new office.
PROSWith the recent move, our new building was way to large to have the admins running around notifying employees of their visitor arrivals. The instant notifications have helped tremendously.
CONSThe connection to the printer is a bit difficult to deal with at times.

Gets The Job Done
We wanted to do away with receptionists at our Corporate office, so we replaced that functionality with the iPad receptionist app. It's worked reliably for us, for the most part. The updates are highly manual, but that's usually not an issue. It took a few months for everyone in the office to get used to it, but here we are two years later still using it. Will probably replace this solution with a custom MS PowerApp at some point.
PROSThe portal interface can be mastered in a couple hours. There really isn't much investment needed to learn everything about the product and get your account up and running. Great customer service.
CONSThe actual options of this application are minimal. I've found myself on more than one occasion "hacking" together a solution based on the options available.

The Receptionist is a game changer
We have eliminated sign in sheets and now have professional kiosks for sign in. Our tenants have complimented the alerts that they get and the efficiency at the concierge desk has improved due to the Receptionist.
PROSThe Receptionist not only adds a professional look and feel to our concierge desk (of a multi-tenant high-rise office building) but allows someone to check in with little to no help, alerts that tenant to their visitor's arrival, and keeps a visitor log for us. This frees up the concierge desk employees when visitors arrive.
CONSThere are no true cons. No matter how user friendly something is, there are still going to be people that need assistance when using The Receptionist.

Easy to use Receptionist
I have used the Receptionist for iPad for a year now. I very rarely run into any tech issues.. and when I do, they are usually very quick to reply and help me get back up and running. Everyone who checks in at our office thinks it's a really cool and "high tech" feature. We will continue to use the Receptionist for iPad for 2017!

We find that installing a new wifi access point or placing one closer to the iPad solves the problem. Also, be sure to check with our team if you ever having printer issues. Great tool for visitor check-in
I work in a building that shares the lobby so The Receptionist i-pad helps monitor who is really here to see someone from my company.
PROSThe program is user friendly. I really like that you can customize the buttons, add documents, a logo, etc. It's easy for visitors to reach their designated party. Also the times I have reached out to Customer Service they have been very efficient, friendly and just overall helpful.

Great software
This is an excellent platform to ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements for our business. Photo documentation of visitors is an added plus.
PROSAbility to add documents such as NDAs, and custom safety documents. Trustworthy Cloud server for storage of completed forms.
CONSBetter badge printer options would be a huge plus. The quality of Brother QL-820NWB is quite poor.

Best support ever!
My best experience always comes from support, generally support team. The customer service she provides is ALWAYS excellent!!! My experience with support always spills over to my overall liking of the software itself.
PROSThe ease of use. We have used it for the past 2 years, and we basically set it up and haven't modified anything in two year and it has worked fine. We have had a few instances of the iPads crashing because of a receptionist or iOS update, but that's it.
CONSHow long it took the features I originally requested to actually come out. I'm glad they finally did and that my request where heard.

Works well with modifications
It works but with some annoyances. It will get the job done for now.
PROSThe software allowed me to digitally address two issues we were addressing physically before. We are able to simplify the student sign-in process and we are able to keep a record of drop-off / pick-up times for our clients.
CONSWe are utilizing the system to display when students are being dropped off and picked up by parents. We have found a work around solution for what we need to accomplish but it would be nice if you could create a streamlined solution that doesn't require us to use a browser plugin. Our current solution requires us to shutdown and restart the system almost every day.

One of the best iPad Receptionist Programs out there!
Our company was looking for an iPad program that could check in and check out visitors, take their photo, notify the person they were visiting of their arrival, have the capability to configure with a badge printer, and be able to export the list of visitors monthly. After much research, we did a free trial of The Receptionist and loved it! The customer support was great during set-up, as configuring the program with the Brother Badge Printer can be difficult. However, support made it simple! This program is easy to use and set up and makes our check-in program look very official. We are very happy with the personalization that this program offers. The only downside is that the program is not yet configurable with HipChat, our messaging system we use (Similar to Slack). Once they implement that, this program will be a 10/10!

Great new tool - Badge Editor!
The new badge editor tool is easy to change and update. It easy to customize and works well with the brother printers!
CONSI had a hard time finding the new badge tool. Wasn't sure if it was on the iPad itself or on the website. It makes sense where it is though (under the buttons on the site), since you may not want all the buttons to print a badge.

Awesome
Simple and easy for our customers to use. Love the customizations and the service I am provided when I do need to contact someone. They are always friendly and issues are fixed usually within less than a five minute time frame.
CONSWish it could do multiple sights on one machine (meaning we would have a device at each check in location but it would show me on my one admin login all 4 facilities in one).

Game Changing!
We elevated our client experience with the ease of check in & gave our clinicians freedom!
PROSI love that my clinicians can relax and socialize while waiting for their next client to arrive! Not being tied to their rooms & checking the waiting area has been a game changer for our culture. The ability to check the log has also been helpful in many situations.
CONSAs we grow, it might get costly to have subscriptions for multiple locations.

Great Visitor Management System for the Money!
This is the most simple easy to use product for not only our staff, but also our visitors. This takes very little staff assistance to support and get people logged in. Return visits are quick and easy and the time savings for staff and visitors has been significant.
CONSWe wish you could customize the interface and database such as adding attachments, but currently this isn't an option. We also would like to be able to scan in using a scan of our exiting badges which we currently use, but this also isn't currently an option. These aren't show stoppers by any means and are very specific to our environment. They allow for feature requests which we had submitted for these needs.
