Very flexible and mordern platform, superior customer support
Most of our daily work is now automated, we save a lot of time and manpower! This means we can scale up our business at no cost.
PROS- customer support (24h) - they do everything to match your demands - modern, state-of-the-art software - price/value you get a lot for your money - they support you beyond the purchase We're really happy about our choice as we never experienced such a great support with any other software we tested - and believe me we had several trial accounts. But what's the biggest plus: They we're able to fully customize the software for our requirements - and they still do.
CONSAs we're in the German market, we needed to translate a lot manually - and there are still some flaws we need to tackle. Furthermore you should be prepared to spend some time with the software, to fully undestand it as they built in so many features.

Exploring New Horizons
Overall experience is great. I believe the opportunity to have someone always willing to help and available to work with my and be able to answer any questions. I really appreciate having [sensitive content hidden] working with me to train me and to be available to explain each feature available. I think is the best experience, I work with a lot of other companies and they do not have that excellent interaction with their partners. Once I buy the product they just tend to forget and move on. When you ask a question to other companies they look at you as I am a stranger. HQ Rental Software, and Benjamin Carril had made an outstanding experience for my company.
PROSFirst, it was the connection with the sales manager. Then, i received the training and still the attention to answer all my questions. [sensitive content hidden] stays on top of the training and he is very helpful, and always replies to my emails and also he is on top of our meetings to review any questions and to continue to help me to use all the tools that i have available so my business is success. The software is very friendly user. One of the things that my customer's like is the steps when booking their vehicle. From step 1 to Step 7 when picking up their vehicle. The email they receive once booked. Also, the different language available to provide better understanding when booking,.
CONSI think when integrating additional insurance and the rental charge. Two different transactions, and the confusion that creates when customer gets charged, and also the money not being sent to the correct account.

Calendar and speed , customer issue , online payments ,
CONSI used to use Rentcentric before , it has really good maintenance dashboard to use for repairs , but HQ software does not provide it , you will never know when you need maintenance. Thats make to many bad feedbacks from customers , you rent car with maintenance light on and its not good for company. Almost 5 month I am using this system , they haven’t fix this issue , I believe they don’t even understand that how works

Extremely Customizable and Great Quality
Excellent service all around, no pushy sales tactics and very helpful. Support is very quick and responsive. Our first two support tickets were cleared within 1-2 hours for a low priority request.
PROSWe can everything and anything that we set out to do in this software from reservations to reporting and management.
CONSIt is complicated to set up on your own but they offer excellent support if you want to have them do everything for you. They also have an amazing documentation for set up to assist you. Barely a con.

Great Value, Endlessly Optimizable System, Wonderful Customer Support
I switched to HQ from a different car rental software that was more expensive and far less flexible. I have been so happy with HQ so far. Between the price (half of what I was paying before) and the functionality of the system, my work load has gone down and my rentals have gone up as the booking engine is better and it is easier for guests to book.
PROSThis software has fantastic funtionality. It can do everything needed for a well run car rental business, including a great online booking engine. I especially love the ease for the customer to book online and how it captures all the info I need from them. The system allows for near endless tweaks meaning I can set it up exactly how I want, including sending scheduled email and sms messages. This has been great for my car rental business as all of my vehicles are remote pick up so I have particular needs. Great Customer support.
CONSBecuase the system can be so personally optimized, it is a big software. It takes time to learn. Out of all the softwares I have set up, this has probably taken me the longest to learn and remember where all the settings are. It does have a decent Help section which helps, but I think it could be improved for those who like to learn and do the set up themselves. Customer Support is extremely helpful and quick to respond though.

HQ is one of the most powerfull tools to succesfully run your business.
Once you adapt your self to the software you start to get the most of it. It becomes very helpful and let you add any time more options and integrations
CONSThe merchant partnership is good. However in this business when you process security deposits you must be able to capture higher amounts than authorized because of damages, fines, penalties, etc. Stripe does not give you that option so it's kind of frustrating and you might have to go with another merchant brand.

Great product and so far a great experience!
Overall the support and responses have been top notch from HQRS and we've enjoyed the product and would recommend it!
PROS* Support is very responsive and helpful in troubleshooting issues* Lots of documentation online to learn about basic flows and different settings* Easy integrations with Word Press and Stripe* Relatively intuitive and software has been reliable and working great so far!
CONS* Could be more transparent/make it easier to understand how support credits work* Could use more documentation since there are so many settings on the site* There's a lot of settings and navigation around the system takes some time to learn and understand* Annoying fee on top of the Stripe processing fee for their integration

Very Happy with HQ Rental!
We now have a seamless online booking platform. No more manually emailing quotes, and manually creating bookings! Customers can now book online, pay online, and upload their documents too.
PROSThe migration team was excellent, made the move from previous software to HQ as easy as possible. Always responded in a timely manner. Software is easy to use and so customizable.
CONSIntegrating our Payment Gateway was difficult and took weeks. We could have used more support, information, and assistance to get connected with the correct Payment Gateway. Authorize.net ended up being the one that worked in the USVI.

Great

CONSThe HQ can be a bit hard and navigating the reports the reports also does not print out big the reports are very small which makes it difficult to read

The main reason I switched from easy Rent pro was because of customer service it was hard to get in contact with someone when you needed assistance however they have a great program with a lot of features that I do wish that HQ rental has. Reports are so much easier to read. And a lot less expensive.

Hq rental software review
I like having a platform that utilizes easy online payments and website integration
CONSThe UI is somewhat overwhelming. Figuring out how to implement easy specific needs can be a big learning curve. Doesn't feel intuitive for a first time user.

A Rental Software you can always count on
We have upped producibility, solved problems before they happen, prepared for the worst, and the best. HQ rentals makes problems disappear before they even happen!
PROSThis software is so user friendly and the team literally will go to all lengths to program and map anything you need. They have thought of everything!
CONSThis software has no issues at all! It is very adaptable and always easy to move around and customize. However, sometimes the customer service can be lacking in a timely manner, but they have improved that tremendously!

HQ had the most adaptable and inclusive demo, there was no pressure and maximum help. The process from being interested in the product, to the time of set up was flawless!

Overall review
Very good software with perfect customer service almost all of my requests were very quickly resolved. Although the system setup is a bit complicated it allows for very personal customization for your needs. Staff is very helpful and always tries to help as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
PROSSmooth customizable and very clear both the system functions and interface. Multilanguage options with possibility of designing different contracts for each language. Fast and reliable web access. A variety of user permissions. Mobile app with regular updates.
CONSLack of multiply rate plans. Car mapping for vehicle damages seems like a work in progress. Online customer signature is available only with external software. No possibility to add a Maintenance appliance by Vehicle Model The calendar could be more customizable and clear visually. A variatyof reports with customization options.

Old solutions with very little updates and improvements. Some changes/updates were promised few years ago and never kept. Slow customer support. In two years around 3 times software was offline for a few hours and there was no possibility to get an instant fix, I was unable to contact customer service.

10/10 Car Hire System
This has been such an easy install and easy to use. Yet all the functionality you could wish for.
PROSThe ease of use is incredible, set up was completely hassle free. Any issues were resolved so quickly and never too much of a hassle. Gave our organization complete visibility of our business and gave us control over our fleet. I cannot recommend this software enough!
CONSThere is nothing I did not like. Our needs were all met.

Glad to have discovered this software
HQ has been a valuable asset to the growth and development of my car rental business. They hear their customer's needs and wants and are willing to learn from their feedback, which I feel speaks great value as a company. We started our business with a fleet of 10 vehicles and now we have over 60 vehicles in less than 2 years. I am glad to grow alongside this software. I hope they continue growing and innovating as well. I look forward to more new features.
PROSDefinitely Customer Service. As a business owner, it gives me peace of mind to know that I can rely on their expertise at any time. My Customer Relationship Manager, [sensitive content hidden], has been an amazing support over the last 2 years. The communication has been simple, fast, friendly and convenient. You can schedule calls whenever you'd like and email response is fast. Reliable, I couldn't ask for a better service.Also, the service from the development/back-end team is great if you have any issues or questions about codes, integrations and front-end site development. I highly recommend HQ.
CONSUser experience. The development of the software still needs improvement, it could be complicated to use as it is visually hard to understand. Also, customer relationship management is not really possible from HQ, translation to other languages and integrations with other softwares like MailChimp could use some improvement. A more attractive portal and modern design would make a great difference.

Review of HQ by a Campervan Rental Company
Quoting, booking, pickup and return paperwork, customer emails etc
PROSEase of use and integration with our existing website and processes. It has successfully taken over the work of one administrative employee and made our pricing and booking info that much more accessible to our customers.
CONSSome of the naming/setup of the options/paperwork can be not as straight forward as one would think - however thanks to customer service we have been able to get the most out of the product.

A fantastic tool and a reliable partner
We started to operate with paper contracts and this was generating many errors in operations, and we had to have a separate fleet management on excell... now With HQ rental all our business is becoming digital, all informations are integrated, informations more reliable and always available; our management is more consistent. Our team is proud to use more technology on the daily basis and accepted very well the change. We also count a lot on the system for our next step: on line sales and OTA integration.
PROSCustomizations possibilities are amazing, the databases are very well thought and constructed, showing a deep understanding of all the specificities of the the rental business. it's also really user friendly, intuitive, great to use, with good responsivity on all our devices. The support team is amazing, very professional, always available and acurate. Time response is very short and friendly!
CONSA lot of translation work to pass to portuguese, and so many possible settings that it get sometimes confusing ...but the support team is always available acurate and fast to answer and solve

Friendly- Easy to use- Support works well

PROSThe HQ team was able to help me start my new business as a franchisee. Within a couple weeks they also helped me to complete a nice looking website that is responsive and that allows my clients to make online bookings. A few months in now, I can really see how the system will help me to continue to grow my business. There are different layers to the system and as my company grows I can enable new features. The HQ team was also very helpful during the setup process to configure the system to my requirements. And when I run into questions I know there will be someone there to help me out.
CONSThey should work more on drag and drop features rather then fields to be filled .More colors in graphs and statistics.

Fantastic Experience!

PROSMy success/relationship advisor [sensitive content hidden] is always available to answer my questions and guide me through the problem-solving process. The booking tool is easy to use and learn. The software helps me extend rentals without renters having to travel all the way to the branch, which was what they used to do. The manifest page helps me keep a pulse on which vehicles are due back, overdue or require maintenance.
CONSI've just started using the system, whenever I have an issue [sensitive content hidden] is always available to assist, I haven't come across an issue worth mentioning.

Very comprehensive and flexible for any size of business and recommendable
We have set up a complete car rental business for a car rental company in the Faroe Islands, which has a larger car fleet and the system has proven to be extremely flexible to work with. The biggest challenge has been the transition from a previously very unsuitable system, to figuring out how it will work best in practice and how we can move more than 300 reservations, from a bad to a good system.
PROSThat it can be adapted to just about any desire and should there be something that is not standard then it can be made
CONSThat there are so many opportunities that it can be difficult to find and learn them all. But is it a minus?

Simply because it looks to be that product that would serve our customer in the best way and we will also use it for other customers and recommend it as well.

The Google calendar grew the customer over his head, as it is not clear for many calendar tasks and does not include other features to run a car rental business.

Mainly, because it allow to do the whole process without paper intervention. With HQ everything can be done through your application and allows the customer to receive the booking confirmation, rental agreement and invoices by email. What I think about HQ rentals
It is decent so far
PROSI love the credit card invoicing. I was having trouble holding guest accountable when they damaged my vehicles which cost me thousands of dollars. I also like the help from the rep and how helpful and enthusiastic my rep [sensitive content hidden] was. It help simplify the process by a lot.
CONSI don’t like how expensive it is. There are way too many unexplained tabs and the app is useless. Uploading photos for individual cars is very confusing. I don’t know if you upload for the class or the individual cars. I also don’t like how the sales reps try to force you into deals. But I got to give it to them they have hustle.
