Excellent customer support, flexibility for development and easy to use

The benefits of Verature have been brilliant, we have a one stop central Contractor Management system that is adaptable to meet our needs. Support is excellent and implementation of the system has been straightforward.

PROS

The system is easy to navigate around making it easy to use for the multiple levels of user IT knowledge in our business. We like that it is cloud based so it can be used on mobile phones. The customer support is excellent, response to queries is very quick and most issues are resolved first time. The administration of the system is straightforward so its easy to add users. The system is flexible which we like, we have had various modifications made to it to meet our needs.

CONS

There is very little to dislike, however I would like more reporting options in the standard reports that are in the system. Nothing negative to say at all really.

Lack of flexibility in Alcumus, didn't have the features we liked.

Excellent choice for Contractor Management.

PROS

It's easy to use and a clear/concise system. It helps us to monitor contractors on site as well as upcoming bookings insuring that we have the relevant documentation to allow safe working. As well as automated reminder emails for when insurance is coming up for renewal which our contractors love.

CONS

The Verature system does sometimes update and an area may change it's appearance but we are not always notified of these upcoming changes.

Not Suitable in some aspects

I am not sure how it works for other departments but for catering it doesnt really help us. I understand why it needs to be in place for safety reasons etc, but it stops us getting things fixed with clients dont upload their documents quick enough.

PROS

For me there isn't any, i understand why we have to have it in place and i guess for knowing who is on site at all times is handy.

CONS

That if a company has already been on site, we still get them to add the RAMS before they can visit and we have had to pay out call out charges when they get turned away at the front desk for now uploading the RAMs in time. As i work in hospitality, if our Freezer goes down, we dont have time time to wait for an administrator to upload all the details and then approve it our end, the company could be with us within minutes. there should be a way if the person has already been on site, they can turn up and sign in and all the documents can just be uploaded there and then.

There is a functionality available to 'Book on site now' that's used by some clients, as well as the ability to select from previous RAMs which can help speed things up, if your company has chosen to make use of this functionality. Verature system implementation and use

Very good. Very easy to implement with the Target Team, a very responsive support team and a very intuitive and user friendly system. With minimal training, a person can find their way around the system fairly easily.

PROS

The support from the Target team is readily available and able to make the requested adaptations at relatively short notice, and promptly, where possible. If not immediately able to implement suggested changes, options are provided for development of the software. I like how adaptable the system is to our needs.

CONS

The permissions for users - i would prefer it if specific permission groups were built, with people moved into those groups, instead of individual permissions applied to specific users. It still works well, but would be easier to put similar types of people into similar permission groups, if it was the other way around.

Reason for choosing Verature

Verature provided most of the functionality we required (if not all) at a competitive price. The onboarding/implementation team were engaged, professional and listened.

PROS

Easy to navigate around the system and the expiry dates relating to insurance, questionnaires and return of data is excellent. Very easy to show your peers where we are year to date.

CONS

Cost, quite expensive particularly if you want any add ons

PROS

The system is fairly easy to use from the start.The dashboards are well laid out and information under each subject easy to access.

CONS

Each contractor area, when going back from some info gathering, means you have to keep scrolling down to the bottom of the page through the workers to get to the info. If you have a large number of workers there’s sometimes a lot of scrolling.

Hugely beneficial tool which is reliable and lows me to achieve what I need to.

PROS

Being able to access my dashboard 24/7 wherever I am in the world. Allows me to manage my workload and easily monitor progress.

CONS

Very hard to say what you least disliked when you selected the product but perhaps to many options to think about when first looking at what your business requirements are.

Previous system had no escalation and reliability was down to individuals.

When it works, it works really well as long as everything has been arranged in advance

We are now much more aware of who is on site, where they are working and who is responsible for them.

PROS

When the system works, it works really well. If people have arranged their visit they can arrive and sign in quickly and easily. It's easy to make bookings and add new contacts. The process of doing most things on Verature is quite logical.

CONS

The issues we have are more to do with our personnel rather than the software but it is tricky always having to arrange everything in advance (obviously I appreciate that is part of the nature of compliance!).

On the whole it has made contractor management much easier and transparent on Campus which is great.

PROS

Easy to use, great for tracking and also for supporting other colleagues too. Great for recording safety information for each project too.

CONS

The main thing I believe should be improved is being able to add multiple companies/individuals on one booking. We have many instances where we have an individual working as a sub-contractor on one booking and the main contractor on another project booking resulting in duplication of individuals on the system which is not ideal.

Overall good, customers support is great so any issues get fixed quickly. Does what we need from it

PROS

we can create different projects for all of our events and easily track our contractors progress

CONS

we have teething issues with documents not being uploaded, refresh links not sending. Some of our contractors don't think it is very user friendly

We are more streamlined now due to being able to send out inductions and requires before there arrival

PROS

Ease of use when inducting with the table allow more portability

CONS

There isn't a dedicated back button. after you have viewed a persons details you go back it looses the filters you had applied

Massive Improvement

Massive improvement in our contractor control. No contractors can now access or work on site without completing an induction, and without the company submitting RAMS, ELI, PLI and H&S documentation.

PROS

Very easy to use cloud based system. Gives great visibility of contractors on site, and we also use for issuing permits for high hazard activities

I don't like that for FX Plus users it automatically goes onto Falmouth Campus rather than Penryn campus and it was be slower than usual.

Verature Business Review

It's a positive experience, helping to control all of our exhibitor and contractor health and safety documents.

PROS

The software is easy to use and user friendly. It has plenty of features to help keep you in the loop, i.e through tracking statuses. Verature has helpful search features and it's a great hub for keeping documents safely in one place.

CONS

That there isn't a huge amount of freedom to change some of the features once they are set.
