Great Platform, with very responsive support team

PROS

Textrequest has continued to evolve since we started using it. They are very invested in improving the service and adding more features to make the user experience better. They are also very responsive to user requests and feedback and consistently respond to suggestions and issues

CONS

I am waiting on an iPad version that works in landscape mode, as i regularly use my iPad with a keyboard for these types of uses.

Not a bad service

It is ok. Still getting use to it. There are a lot of great features the previous product we used did not have and vise versa. Still getting used to the new product.

PROS

You can filter the way you see texts. What has been completed and what has not been worked yet.

CONS

You have to send a text with an attachment. You cannot send an attachment by itself.

Unsure. It was the owners decision. I believe the previous text program we used went out of business or something like that.

PROS

It is very easy to use, and there is no lag in the messaging process.

CONS

I think there should be an option to default the setting to Newest first and not Unresolved first. I also dislike that there is not an option to click on the phone number to call them.

It was recommended to us by Zipwhip. They said you could transfer our contacts and conversations.

Zipwhip was being discontinued, so they recommended this.

A Great Service to start with!

We use Text Request in our day to day operations and it overall serves us well.

PROS

It is easy to set up, is well organized and allows you to stay organized even when sharing the service with a number of team members. (Clear differentiation between which users are/have responded).

CONS

Customer support is sometimes slow responding to requests for assistance.

Reasons for switching to Text Request

The previous service had more functionalities than we needed (we only needed text messaging and chat service) and was not organized well for use with multiple users and profiles.

We LOVE Text Request

Our overall experience with Text Request has been great. One of the other vendors we work with recommended them at a time that I was researching review generation companies that also offered texting platforms. Text Request was a fraction of the cost and while they aren't a review generation company per say, you can EASILY set up a template to text clients asking them to write a review and you can even include a link so they are taken directly to your review website of choice.

PROS

Our independent insurance agency absolutely LOVES Text Request. Our clients will often ask if they can text us or if we can text them and prior to Text Request, we didn't have an option to do so other than giving out our personal cell numbers. In our line of work, we often need photos of a client's car or home and I love that Text Request allows clients to send these photos to us so easily. I also love that our agents can use Text Request right from their computer and don't need to be checking a cell phone constantly. It is very user friendly and was easy for our agents to learn how to use.

CONS

I don't have anything negative to say about the desktop version of the software and I think it's extremely user friendly. The mobile app is a little clunky, but for the most part we use the desktop version and don't have to use the mobile app, so this concern doesn't come up often.

Reason for choosing Text Request

We chose Text Request over other products we researched primarily because of price, but I was also extremely impressed with how easy it was to set up a demo with them (I believe our demo was done the same day I reached out to schedule it) and the fact that I didn't feel like they were putting any pressure on me to purchase their product. They quickly and simply showed me what Text Request could do and let the product do the talking. Some people respond to hard sales tactics, but I do not and I really appreciated their gentle but effective approach.

TextRequest is an Oasis in a Sea of Bad SMS Providers

When our VP of IT left suddenly, I had to use context clues to figure out what she was working on, one of which was ZipWhip transition, which I did not know was expiring in less than a month! The TextRequest team hauled and hustled to get the ZipWhip transition done in less than a month and I am grateful! TextRequest has been working consistently, which is also something I am grateful for!

PROS

Clear sensible design run by a team that cares about a good product and is not trying to exploit me.

CONS

We had to fight to the death with bad SMS providers to release the old SMS phone numbers. I felt like I entered battle with a pool noodle, and I was at the mercy of the bad SMS providers. A tool to help force phone number release would have saved time.

HIPAA compliance, ease of use, acceptable price, and the ZipWhip conversion tool.

Reasons for switching to Text Request

ZipWhip: expired in less than 1 month, and I was not notified. Klara: I would rather drink sewage than continue to work with Klara, one of the worst companies I have ever worked with.

Simple, Straightforward, Modern product

It is so easy to text multiple people with both pictures and texts. One big problem text request solved for us is that we never knew if someone else was responding to the same person. Now we have the ability to see who is typing a message to who, so that we do not double up on efforts.

PROS

It was time for our organization to move out of google voice into a more professional text message management system. We were looking to offer easier ways for our staff to communicate with clients, donors, and the public, as well as easily arrange and monitor group texts. The transition was seamless, and we have really enjoyed the ease of use, personal touches, and ways each user can interact with our text number. It is also a huge pro to have our text line be the same phone number as our phone number. It is wonderful to have text support just a text away, many of our questions have been answered within an hour of texting their text support line.

CONS

The only thing I wish we would have known about using a texting platform (which would be true for other texting platforms) is that carriers have several opt-out words, many of which we use when a client cancels an appointment. We now have to figure out alternate words so that they do not accidentally opt out of all text messages.

Quick, simple texting

Mobile carriers recently added charges to every business texting over their networks (you may have heard about "10DLC registration"). I believe that's the con you're referring to, and I can empathize with you. Ultimately this should be better for everyone - providers like us, businesses like you, and end consumers - because those dollars are going towards reducing spam, so texting won't go the way of email. Easy to use

Their customer service is very responsive and helpful. The program does what we need it to do with very little issue.

PROS

Being able to send "mass" texts by uploading an excel document makes the process very easy. The tracking is also great. Having the google plug-in and being able to click the number and text directly is very convenient. Overall it's a user-friendly program

CONS

I think the conversation view could be improved, it's somewhat easy to miss replies since they are all marked resolved automatically.

We still use CTM to track our calls but the texting function was expensive and not remotely user friendly.

Text Request is a great tool. Easy to use.

The onboarding and migration from Zip Whip was completely seamless. It was so easy. Customer service is great. The software itself is straight forward and easy to navigate.

PROS

That it is easy to use. I LOVE the Chrome extension. That is so very helpful when creating new contacts.

CONS

That there is not a desktop application nor a true mobile app.

Price point and because there is no contract. Podium locks you in for a year and they are more interested in getting paid than making sure their solution is the right fit for you.

Great communication tool for those on the go

Great, it has served our needs so far in just communicating back and forth, we are about to go to the next level and be proactive with list of customers so we may need to follow back with another review in 6 months.

PROS

I like that we were able to implement this software with our current website. The software is intuitive and didn't take a ton of how to videos on how to use it on day 1.

CONS

seems like multiple tags for the same customer is not easily accomplished

zapier didn't implement with our scheduling software like they promised. There was another product that allowed some options when hoovering over the chat button but I forgot that company. I liked that service as well but then figured it wasn't worth everything we liked about text request

Good Program - Has some Glitches

PROS

Mostly easy to use, occasionally the webpage will flash that there is a new message when there is not, or vice-versa

CONS

You cannot delete a previous contact if there was any messages involved, which is unfortunate. Pricing is a bit high compared to the competitors due to the fact that both incoming and outgoing messages are charged with Text Request plans.

Great Text System

Love it!

Love the organization and screen view. The fact we can use work numbers makes it much better.

Excellent customer communication tool

The transition to TextRequest from ZipWhip was very straightforward and easy to manage. We did not have any issues with the implementation, and our ability to communicate with our customers was uninterrupted.

PROS

The desktop application can be a bit latent and a bit slow to update.

Best decision we've made

Text Request has made our business more efficient and greatly improved the customer experience. We used to email all service reminders to our customers but they wouldn't read them half the time. This resulted in us being unable to service properties because gates were locked or dogs were outside when our technicians arrived. Our customers actually read their texts, so this happens less often. Texting is the preferred method of communication for 99% of all of our customers.

PROS

There are a number of features that set Text Request apart from other providers. 1. Two way texting communication is critical. Some less expensive providers only allow for outbound messages. 2. Text Request uses our main office number allowing our customers to call or text us at one number. 3. The inbox view of all our text conversations makes it easy for the team to manage all of the communications with our customers 4. The customer service from Text Request is responsive and helpful.

CONS

We have 8 dashboards that all message the same group of customers. That means that everytime we sign up a new customer, we have to ad them as a contact 8 times. We really wish we could all share the same contact list.

Reason for choosing Text Request

Text Clubs only offered one way communication. Sendhubs was comparable to Text Request but I like the user interface better on Text Request.

It could be better

Had to speak with someone regarding an issue and he was very rude.Otherwise, the program fine for our everyday use.

I feel having the ability to delete unnecessary texts and having spell check are very important features, that don't exist on this platform.

Vital to client communications

PROS

The clients we serve are typically from 15 to 30 years of age. Texting seems to be their preferred method of communication. We also text volunteers occasionally. Text Request is very user-friendly; integrated well with our phone system; offers the ability to group text which is helpful when we need to send short messages to our volunteers; has intermediate steps for group texting which protect the privacy of those in the group texts; HIPAA compliant; very reliable. I cannot speak to the cost because I am not privy to that information.

CONS

The thing I like least is the arrow that pops up automatically on the main page of a client's file when we are entering or hovering near the phone number field; it obstructs my view.
