Arketa is the best solution for our business

Our experience has been nothing but stellar. We switched from a different studio management software and everything has been so much easier to run since switching.

PROS

The ability to let the customer choose the price they pay for each service.

CONS

The backend is still being updated but it will soon be much more user-friendly I'm sure! And it's still great in the meantime.

STUDIO Y3's experience with Arketa

My overall experience with Arketa has been nothing but amazing, and I would choose this platform over and over again. The customer service and general support that I have received and continue to receive could not be more efficient and to the point. Also, the overall functionality of the platform is amazing. It is efficient and easy to grasp and get an understanding of. I would recommend Arketa to absolutely anyone in the fitness industry. Arketa was also recommended to me, so I know that I'm not the only one extremely pleased with Arketa's services.

PROS

I love how straightforward and to the point all the functions are, most of all from the backend. Additionally, I could not be more pleased with the customer service.

CONS

I think what frustrates me from time to time is that I need to go out of Arketa and onto stripe to see my net income.

I preferred the value for money at Arketa in comparison to any other platforms. I also find the layout of Arketa much better than any platform that I have used so far.

Reasons for switching to Arketa

Mindbody was far too complicated for me and also the customer service was very slow. It was hard for me to get answers on time and a better grasp of the platform.

They were better when they were Sutra

I signed up with them in 2021. They were amazing. Easy to access, helped with on boarding and trouble shooting and their subscriber events were great. Over time I have referred several people. Since the change in name and I safe assume personnel I would not recommend them ' unless you are tech savvy and have your own website.

Poor customer service. They are friendly but friendly is not getting the job done. When they were Sutra they designed my website. That was a HUGE plus. However getting assistance with my website or building out a community (which they strongly promote when doing challenges) could take 5 weeks to 6 months to get resolved. Currently I have been waiting 4 months to get an answer to why my web pop up disappeared and getting it updated.

A wonderful system seemingly made for almost everything I need from a software.

Overall experience has been wonderful. Much more affordable and with more features that are useable than my previous software.

PROS

Product is super easy to use and with more features coming out will be even better. Price was on point for the amazing features that already come with it. Additionally, I am not paying extra for a lot of random stuff that I don't know how to use. Amazing customer support and help with setup and integration questions.

CONS

There are some very minor things that I think could be added/changed, but I have been told some of these features were coming so I don't necessarily want to list them.

A Yoga Studio Owner told me about it and I checked into it and it just looked great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Mindbody was so difficult for everyone to use, including myself and I used it for years. It was almost impossible to get ahold of anyone to ask any questions.

So glad we chose Arketa!

I've had a great experience with Arketa so far. I'm excited for our studio to grow alongside them!

PROS

I've found Arketa easy to use, and the customer service is unmatched. My rep gets back to me quickly to answer or help with any questions I have. I know that Arketa has pivoted after the pandemic to accommodate in-person classes, and I've been super impressed that some of our requests for changes to the system have been made quickly. The functionality is exactly what we need for a small studio, and the price point can't be matched.

CONS

There's a bit of a learning curve for certain things on the backend, and I know that would be the same for any software.

We enjoy using Arketa to build our online fitness community, customer service is generally quick and responsive.

PROS

Easy to use, well presented user app with a high level of functionality from the trainer side to build their business.

CONS

We experienced a few issues migrating over from via session in terms of duplicated payments. If there was a way of automatically uploading videos to Arketa would save trainers a lot of time.

Arketa has taken my business to the next level.

PROS

The ease of booking classes and launching events is the most important usage for me. I'm also able to maintain my virtual and On Demand business without spending more precious time building it as the process is so streamlined. I also launched my mobile app with Arketa 4-5 months ago and members are loving the experience.

CONS

The software takes a long time to load and sometimes it can be a bit glitchy.

Arketa has changed my life!

One of the loveliest surprises has been the very sincere personal touch of everyone involved in support, whether tech or teaching. The friendliest chat box ever! And amazing scheduling of webinars to complement the platform use and to grow our ideas and businesses.

PROS

The interface is very intuitive and perfectly aligned with the specifics of the fitness industry. I find everything I need, no matter what I think up in terms of programming, scheduling, pricing... It also allows for creativity and manages the nitty-gritty, so I can get on with teaching and learning.

CONS

I'm new to the software, so for now, it has more than enough features for me to adventure into.

I liked that it was a smaller company and more personal. The first one-on-one intro session then sold me, and I basically stopped looking. Easy decision. I also like the pricing structure: I had no idea how much revenue I would generate, so I like the idea of a relatively small base cost plus commission. It feels less risky.

Excited about where this can go

I appreciate the hardworking team and that they have given us the attention and direction to make our move successful and as easeful as possible!

PROS

I really like how you can customize your page, integrate zoom and the videos upload automatically, I like the look of the On Demand/Video platform and that you can add everything in widgets to your website.

CONS

There are a lot of glitches in the software that we've found when using it. The team is always fairly responsive with these and gets them fixed fairly quickly! I think the reports are clunky and can be greatly improved.

Arketa is the best!

Arketa helped me consolidate my business platforms. I needed a program where I could host my studio's classes, events and virtual experiences along with an On Demand Library, communities, online courses, massage bookings and programs. I love all that Arketa offers and I feel like they cater to my style of entrepreneurship, which is a little of everything.

PROS

Arketa is the 3rd software company for my healing arts studio that I have used and I am so glad I switched. I loved the fact that I had a personal onboarding specialist that met with me every week until I was up and running and he was available for questions at any time. I am sold on all the options that Arketa offers, as my business was being hosted on 3-4 other platforms and can now be with one.

CONS

The only issue I had was that I onboarded during Arketa's upgrade, so I got confused on which dashboard to be working with.

I had been receiving the weekly coffee with Arketa email and it helped build a relationship.

Glofox did not offer everything I was looking for and they lacked the ease that Arketa offers.

Be cautious

I would strongly advise you to be extremely cautious when proceeding with Arketa. From the beginning, I was sold a story by [sensitive content hidden] that had inaccurate and misleading promises about the level of support, initial start up, and customer service. The narrative was that Arketa was a smaller business and valued each customer. I was promised that I would have help bringing all my pertinent information over from my original operating system, Wellness Living, quickly and easily. In reality, this was always meant to be done by me or, I could choose to pay more on top of an already hefty monthly payment for my small business. At this time, I was tied into a 6 month contract in which, I paid in full because I could get a better rate. But, between selling my business, a move of our family of 6, some health setbacks and a change of direction, I had to cancel my contract. I requested some of the 6 month PIF payment back (I used less than 2 months of service), but I was told no. I accepted that. But then, I get an email after confirming the cancellation of my contract with Arketa, saying that I would be charged over $3000 for the next 6 months. I emailed right away and asked for this to be taken care of so that I wasn’t charged. Well, sure enough, I was charged over $3k and got declined when trying to use my credit card to purchase groceries. I was also charged an over draft fee because of this unexpected charge of over 3K which I am normally very careful to avoid. FINALLY, after over a month of emailing [sensitive content hidden], I was refunded but, not for the correct amount. Due to the exchange rate differential, I was refunded $217 less than what I was charged plus I had that overdraft fee on top of that. Now, I have been ghosted by [sensitive content hidden] and no one has acknowledged that I am still missing money. I understand that there was an exchange rate difference but, I do not feel like I should get punished for that since I sent two email reminders to please check that this would not happen. Because we have four kids and are just trying our best, this money goes along way with all the expenses that we are all facing. I am very disappointed that after 14 emails sent with kindness and patience, that I could not get a response on what was happening. Finally, after sharing this review, I received a response from Arketa Renewals with another promise of helping me out. I had hope that I was going to receive some customer service and get back the money I was owed. Nope. 3 additional emails were sent from me to Arketa- kindly requesting an update. It has been almost a month and I have once again been ghosted with absolutely no response at all. If you are thinking about using Arketa, ask lots of questions and know that, at end of the day, you are being sold to. My experience with Wellness Living customer service was much better and much more responsive. I know what it’s like to try to survive and thrive in this industry and, we all want to feel like our hard earned money is put to good use, serving us to increase our business. This experience, unfortunately, sent me in the opposite direction. Watch out for this company and the stories they sell.

Overall, it's been a good experience. There seems to be a community of people in the same boat rather than the aloof "other clients." So you feel like there's more than just customer service. The account management team is great and willing to hop on a quick call with you when needed and genuinely want to know how things are going.

PROS

The software is incredibly easy to learn. The UX is straight forward. There are informational meetings to be onboarded and documents to walk you through everything at your own pace. I started with Arketa as an individual teaching virtually and transitioned into their studio version of the platform. The transition was seamless and the UX didn't change. I do like that it's so new the team at Arketa is always asking what else studios need in order to function. You work with other people who know your business from the inside out and understand the requests.

CONS

Being a new software, there are a few things that are in the works and aren't always easily accessible. Sometimes there are a few "tricks" to get around problems while we wait for the actual solution to be built.

Definitely worth it

Overall very good. Team is responsive and helpful, software is much better than mindbody I was using before, and my community says the flow is great and easy to understand.

PROS

I love how it is customizable and can embed easily into my site. I love how fluidly in person, virtual, and on demand experiences can live side by side. Arketa has excellent customer service.

CONS

Waitlist feature is problematic. There is no fast and clear way of pulling up all the sessions used in a package. There could be more fluidity with payment: mainly the ability to apply payment to something already booked. It would be nice to display your availability for private appts separately from the ones that you reserve for ongoing clients.

make your life easier and more professinal

I love Arketa! it is a professional tool for professional fit pros. I do not need to worry about automated emails, schedule reminders, payments and unlimited space where you can download your videos. The community behind it is very strong and supportive as well their customer service. I highly recommend this software if you want to make your life easier as well your business more productive!

PROS

I have been using this platform since January and I simply love it! It is easy to use and it is pretty intuitive. The layout is very friendly and the services offered are fantastic. You can create your own customized schedule either you are teaching live in person OR online OR both at the same time. It allows you also to crate an unlimited videos on demand library. Not so many platform out there allows you to do so! You can also create memberships as well challenges to keep your clients motivated. It is all trackable and you, of course, it is all made to monetize your business. I highly recommend this software if you want to make your life easier as well your business more productive!

CONS

So far, in my experience I did not find any major CONS. If you will find any, there is a specific section where you can tell them fix some tech bugs or also give your feedback in order to improve the platform.

Talent Hack closed ll of the sudden. SO I was forced to look for another provider. Arketa is WAY much betther than my prevous provider.

A horrible experience

So far Arketa has not solved any of my problems and I have not received any benefit. This was money pit for me- a total waste of time and money-- and so much frustration before I gave up on it.

PROS

The salesperson was very nice and seems to believe in their product and service. However, what was promised on the sales end was not actually the way the team works. My setup meetings were canceled, my questions were replied to with links to videos that didn't actually answer my individual questions or help me with the kind of help that was promised. Their "live support" is just zoom meetings, which are at set times that don't fit in my schedule. The one I attended and the recorded version I watched also jumped past people's questions as "we're not really going to get into individual issues, but you can find your answer here."

CONS

I was buying into this because I believed they would provide the individual support I need, but just paid a lot more, and got a lot less, than my Squarespace. If all I was going to get was links to video tutorials for support, I could have just stayed with Squarespace. I absolutely hate that I spent so much time and money on this and didn't get a single month of the product up and running due to all the issues in getting the help I needed, I paid for a website I can't access. I put work into the back end and it didn't end up published correctly, despite following step by step instructions. Tasks that are simple on squarespace are complicated here.

A pleasure to have Arketa support our business

The functionality of Arketa is very important for our users experience, the software decision is critically important and I am glad that I have discovered Arketa.

PROS

The level of customer service has been top class since day one. I have plenty of questions during the initial onboarding phase and the team was more than happy to answer these in a timely manner.

CONS

Currently Arketa syncs with Mailchimp, I am now using Kajabi and would love for the software to sync with Kajabi for email automations when new client join so I can ditch Mailchimp for good.

Reasons for switching to Arketa

The previous software we used was more designed for phone app whilst arketa was very friendly on a laptop which our clients preferred. It is clearly designed by people who understand the health and fitness world. No matter what need I have for my clients or the software, it seems that Arketa has already thought about it and makes it happen.

The cleanest dashboard for class management PLUS all in one platform

Before moving my business to arketa, I had to manage several different platforms. With the arketa platform I can manage all of my systems in one place, make changes quickly and easily, and I am so proud of the polished look presented in way that still feels like my business and brand.

I love being able to manage On-Demand content, livestream classes, and special programs in one place.

CONS

Arketa listens to customer feedback and is always growing and evolving to fit our needs. No complaints :)

To be able to host classes, share on demand content, and create separate pricing structures for each was previously a HUGE headache! I spent so much time on other platforms on day to day busy work that has been made so much easier on arketa. Also, I was previously paying for video storage (arketa now offers me unlimited video storage without extra fees). Huge wins all around!

Highly recommend arketa!

Overall I love that is a community and the team genuinely cares for your growth. No other software offers this kind of support.

PROS

Arketa has the best customer service. They genuinely care about each user and strive to make meaningful connections to help us grow our businesses. Not only does the software have on demand booking but also in studio class booking- which is major! Everything is all in one place. A lot of softwares don’t have this or if they do it is way over priced.

CONS

The only thing I feel like I’m missing is getting an email when a client cancels an in studio class reservation.

They don’t have a user friendly On Demand option and all their extension offerings were extremely expensive. I also would never get emails for what I was being charged for.

Switched from Mindbody and am happy

PROS

I really like the integration with my website, when I was using Mindbody the integration at my subscription level was not very mobile-friendly. The customer support from Arketa has been excellent.

CONS

The one thing I feel I am missing the most in transfer over software is loading in clients' previous number of classes from the old platform. I want to be able to celebrate milestones (50 class, 100 class) but for anyone who started with us before this platform, we don't have their number of classes recorded on this software.

Way to expensive for the features I was using and being in Canada and paying USD on top of it gets very pricey.

Onboarding and migrating customer service team were very helpful with training and getting prepared for launch.

Everything We Need - Nothing We Don't

PROS

I love that Arketa has everything we need. We can offer classes, workshops, one-on-ones, retreats, programs, retail items and more. And, the system isn't overly complicated to the point that it's hard to navigate.

CONS

Some of the functionality is a little counter intuitive (going to Group Classes to schedule a private) but I know a lot of this is shifting with future updates.

Reasons for switching to Arketa

MindBody was SO expensive and had so much more functionality than we needed. The online component was also very clunky and not well-integrated into the rest of the software which translated to a convoluted process for clients.

PROS

arketa was a no brainer when taking my virtual business in person. clients can easily book classes both online and in studio as well as become a member to a digital library of on demand classes. the integration with my website and payment processor was and remains seamless!

CONS

There are a few kinks...a refund click will work some of the time, waitlists can be confusing and sometimes an account will now let a client use their credits....but truly all kinks seem to even out and there's always a work around.
