Outstanding. The DoseSpot team helped us achieve our goal of seamlessly incorporating an electronic prescription writing feature into our specialty telehealth, mobile phone-based teledentistry product. Throughout the process and beyond, the DoseSpot team members have not only been highly knowledgable and attentive to our technical needs, they have created a collaborative working relationship with our team, making both the ideation process and the continued work relationship thereafter exceptional.

PROS

Our goal was to provide our clients a seamless experience for virtual care, including the ability to e-prescribe directly from their mobile phone. We required this to be handled within our product application. Our product was the first to place DoseSpot's e-prescribe solution into a teledentistry mobile application. At the time it was an undertaking, because DoseSpot was not in mobile phone format. Understanding what we wanted to achieve, the DoseSpot team was outstanding from day one. Our teams were able to work together to create a fantastic solution that is seamless and easy to use.

CONS

DoseSpot is easy to use. There are only a few questions we receive about the prescription writing process, of which the main question is whether once a prescription is written, must the provider inactivate a prescription after a set period of time or will it expire on its own.

DoseSpot E-Prescriptions - Pharmacy at your fingertips

With the help of DoseSpot, all the dental providers enrolled in our system are able to prescribe their patients on time and with ease.

PROS

The integration of DoseSpot with our native CRM was seamless, and they provided us with several Admin level tools to carefully and easily manage our ever growing provider user base. Moreover, in the event of any issues, it was extremely easy to reach out to their Support Team and the turn-around time with respect to any issues is usually within that day itself to a maximum of two days.

CONS

The implementation of newer features is very slow and most requests to take up new features is not taken up with much enthusiasm. This does not impact the day to day functioning of the software in any way though.

Very happy so far

Overall, we've been really happy outside of some latency issues. We have a solid sales engineer and an account manager that support us.

PROS

* Jumpstart is easy to integrate * The certification process was simple and straightforward * Overall, good customer support from sales, integration to on-going support

CONS

* Several times a day, DoseSpot's API can be slow and/or time out, which triggers our DataDog alerts and affects the quality of our service * Sometimes, the prescribing errors messages are not clear in the i-frame and cause some confusion for our providers.

Reasons for switching to DoseSpot

Kareo is way more expensive and they make it hard for us to pull data for clinical analytics.

Gets the Job Done, Needs Improvement

Gets the job done, as I need to e-prescribe daily. When prescribing in an integrated fashion with our proprietary EMR. But, in between visits, if logging in directly to DoseSpot itself; again, very clunky and things as basic as finding a patient is challenging.

PROS

Ease of renewing prescriptions is simple, a few clicks. Saves a lot of time for patients on maintenance meds.

CONS

Something as basic as searching names is an arduous task. When you type an exact first and last name, you can't find a patient. You have to type either or and then scroll endlessly; imagine having someone named John Smith and how many results you get, and have to scroll through. It's mind boggling how a basic name search doesn't function appropriately. Also the mobile App needs to become a functioning, stand alone mobile app; given how doctors are basically on call 24/7 and need to not be tethered to a laptop/desktop. Having it basically mirror a website in non-mobile friendly/responsive fashion is clunky.

Easy to Integrate and Use

Our EPCS program is critical to deliver an end-to-end solution for our customers and DoseSpot has helped us achieve that.

PROS

The UI is super simple and updated compared to other planforms most providers are used to using.

CONS

There could be some room for improvement in the ability for admins to manage the notifications within the DoseSpot system instead of having to integrate that into the end user platform.

dosespot review after using it for 5 years

Overall we are satisfied.

PROS

Dosespot was relatively easy to integrate with our EHR and the support for integration was good. Its generally a use friendly interface and we like that its is customized for pediatrics as well as for adults.Medication and pharmacy search is good. EPCS is integrated. THe admin console is relatively easy to use.

CONS

Unfortunately for controlled substances it is not linked to ISTOP in NY state and this is one of the limitations. We still have to go another website to verify prior controlled substances data on the patient.

Avoid this product

It has cost me a great deal of money in the extra time it takes to write prescriptions.

PROS

It has the potential to be an excellent service but it falls short in very time sensitive issues.

CONS

The lack of customer service responsiveness. The inability to renew a prescription with a different dose.. The constant server error messages and lag.

Too Many Systems, Too Complex.. needs integration

PROS

It allows you to use electronic prescriptions

CONS

Dosespot needs some serious work on integration. You use one system for one thing, then another system for the next. Their help desk ticketing system is another system you have to register for. These systems should be integrated into one platform. Training my teams on all these disparate systems takes too much time and you're constantly getting questions from the front lines.

Great partnership, one of the top vendors I work with.

PROS

Communication. We've worked with DoseSpot over the years, and I can say one of the areas they've grown the most is in communication. Updates, System downtime or lag, meetings with tech or support. The good and the bad as as a user/admin you want details asap appreciate how they've excelled in this area and willing to be a true partner.

CONS

I know it's inevitable with tech, but the down time although more rare and short these days can be crippling with state regulations we really rely on the DoseSpot services for our patient care.

Reason for choosing DoseSpot

The UI/UX and API integration . The best way for my team to help our doctors and staff to give the highest degree of patient care is making their tasks in the systems they use ( like prescribing )as simple and efficient as possible so they can spend more time with patients. The flow and features within DoseSpot UI make it easy to follow with minimal training. And the API integration allows us to take feedback from our doctors and create features ourselves to allow progress in the areas we need them.

DoseSpot is great !!!!!!!!!!

Overall I would rate DoseSpot to be on top scale as their support is something to be spoken about !!

PROS

I really liked your Support portal where we can submit tickets . The cases resolved really quick that showed an awesome team effort.The ease of creating such tickets are also worth mentioningAnd I also liked the dedication where in the members from DoseSpot reached out to the Doctors / practices directly in case of criticalities or clarifications.The admin portal is also one important interface where as a CareStack employee I had to work a lot ,creating users / adding locations and TFA etc.

CONS

The admin portal at times I felt like was a bit rigid (having trouble finding /loading options/ locking itself and so on)As a CareStack employee I would always wanted to assist doctors via chat/call regarding their concerns so if that is a concern regarding DS, sometimes I will have trouble understanding their status on TFA.Another problem would be when they have two/ more accounts when they switch practice. Such cases are always proceeded by a ticket but it would be sometimes on a very later point we get to know the reason that there are multiple accounts , if an alert mentioning this is shown it would be great.

DoseSpot

Since the eprescribe has been mandated in California DoseSpot made it easy to pick because of ease of use.

PROS

I love how DoseSpot integrates so seamlessly with our software, it adds the prescription right to the patient chart, so the client's don't have to enter it in twice.

CONS

I don't think I dislike anything about DoseSpot. One client was working with another practice management software that offers push notifications, but that is going to be available for our software as well.

One year experience using dosespot

Overall decent, but if there’s a issue where you cant access dosespot it is very difficult to get it fixed right away. I had a issue with one patients dosespot in error a week ago and still havent gotten it resolved. In my 2 day attempt to get it fixed it was a hassle I just ended up calling the pharmacy. Thankfully it wasnt a schedule II or III otherwise the patient would be almost out of luck.

PROS

Electronic e prescriptions cant beat the convenience of that and can send it before a procedure that way its likely ready for pickup after the patient is done.

CONS

I need critical medical warnings or cautions to pop up more consistently. Contraindications should be linked to the current patient’s prescriptions.

Overall, I like DoseSpot, and the support team is VERY helpful.

PROS

DoseSpot is easy to use and easy to teach a new doctor to use. It is 99.9% reliable.

CONS

Sometimes, DoseSpot goes down for a few minutes. Super rare!

Very easy to use E Prescriber

PROS

I find the ease of use to be Dosespot's main selling point. They offer the jumpstart package which got me off the ground and then more integrated solutions that I will use down the road. Stellar customer service and support!

CONS

I think the biggest area for growth is with powering support solutions like a live chat function.

Fast Integration

PROS

DoseSpot allowed us to add an ePrescribe feature very quickly to support stringent California requirements. We were able to go live within 3 months from start to finish given DoseSpot Jumpstart Integration. Thank you !

-Not physician friendly; med list not easily seen on a ingle screen; must click to new window to see rest of medication list; this has led to missing additional active medications in patients with long med list -Too many superfluous "bells and whitles" like complicated graphics to show something is beoing processed; this is needless distraction -Ordering medications requires TOO MANY CLICKS

I'm satisfied with the support and the response of the team members

PROS

First of all, I would like the Manager of DoseSpot and the Account managers.They are good in product knowledge and help us in all situations. Their assistance is marvelous.

CONS

Other than Manager and Account Manager, the Staff under the Level 1 supports are not providing proper responses for the Tickets raised. They want to be prepared to respond at the fastest. Because of their delay I have to write the account manager each and every time
