Hivepass changed the game for our club membership

The overall experience has been great. Any trouble shooting has been very easy and communication with the developer was always great. they anticipated any issues and made us aware ahead of time about any decisions we might need to make at certain points in regards to updates etc. There have been no nasty surprises, only a good experience.

PROS

This software reduced the amount of admin our volunteers needed to complete to almost zero. Enabling local businesses to support us with member deals and discounts that are put right in front of our members gives them the confidence to support us with some great deals, which further drives membership. The newsfeed is a great asset - being such a succinct and direct channel of communication that is admin low and very effective. The ability to offer subscription as a payment option is also of huge benefit to the club. There is a lot to love about this software!

CONS

I can only think of really small things, such as; it would be great to add video or multiple images to the newsfeed.

Hivepass review from Rotorua Trails Trust

Excellent after sales service and communication with the developer. Very few businesses now-days offer a good after sales service. Hivepass is the exception.

PROS

An modern app, designed in New Zealand, which makes the admin for membership very easy.

CONS

Family membership not able to be on a subscription, only available on single year. But individual memberships are available single year and subscription

So that people could manage their own memberships as previously our old system was very manual and time consuming

First year of using Hivepass

It has reduced the amount of work I have to do manually and interfaces well with the Xero accounting software.

PROS

It makes my Treasurer/accountant job easier by having a fully integrated weekly reporting tool which integrates with other applications. Also there is an automated donation receipt function now. At one stage I was having to do this semi- manually and it was a days worth of work a month.

CONS

The lack of an event feature. This is being developed but is not yet available. We use another system which is not nearly as well integrated and takes time and manual work ie spreadsheets for summarising transactions.

Reason for choosing Hivepass

The ability to have an IOS app for member signup and comms. The ability to work with the developer to create a system that integrates easily.

Great to have a mobile app for membership

PROS

Native IOS and Android applications makes membership management quite easy.

CONS

documentation is not that much helpful which should urgently improved.

Queenstown Mountain Bike Club

Hivepass is easy to use and any time there has been an issue the developer has been extremely quick at rectifying it and providing assistance. Queenstown Mountain Bike Club could not run without Hivepass.

PROS

Hivepass has been instrumental in growing QMTBC membership from 900 members to almost 2000 in 2 and a half months. It has freed up valuable volunteer time to focus on other aspects of the club and takes care of almost all of the membership administration for us.

CONS

We are working the developer to create features to increase the apps capacity in event registration and health and safety documentation.
