Hivepass changed the game for our club membership

The overall experience has been great. Any trouble shooting has been very easy and communication with the developer was always great. they anticipated any issues and made us aware ahead of time about any decisions we might need to make at certain points in regards to updates etc. There have been no nasty surprises, only a good experience.

PROS

This software reduced the amount of admin our volunteers needed to complete to almost zero. Enabling local businesses to support us with member deals and discounts that are put right in front of our members gives them the confidence to support us with some great deals, which further drives membership. The newsfeed is a great asset - being such a succinct and direct channel of communication that is admin low and very effective. The ability to offer subscription as a payment option is also of huge benefit to the club. There is a lot to love about this software!

CONS

I can only think of really small things, such as; it would be great to add video or multiple images to the newsfeed.

Hivepass review from Rotorua Trails Trust

Excellent after sales service and communication with the developer. Very few businesses now-days offer a good after sales service. Hivepass is the exception.

PROS

An modern app, designed in New Zealand, which makes the admin for membership very easy.

CONS

Family membership not able to be on a subscription, only available on single year. But individual memberships are available single year and subscription

So that people could manage their own memberships as previously our old system was very manual and time consuming

First year of using Hivepass

It has reduced the amount of work I have to do manually and interfaces well with the Xero accounting software.

PROS

It makes my Treasurer/accountant job easier by having a fully integrated weekly reporting tool which integrates with other applications. Also there is an automated donation receipt function now. At one stage I was having to do this semi- manually and it was a days worth of work a month.

CONS

The lack of an event feature. This is being developed but is not yet available. We use another system which is not nearly as well integrated and takes time and manual work ie spreadsheets for summarising transactions.

Reason for choosing Hivepass

The ability to have an IOS app for member signup and comms. The ability to work with the developer to create a system that integrates easily.

Great to have a mobile app for membership

PROS

Native IOS and Android applications makes membership management quite easy.

CONS

documentation is not that much helpful which should urgently improved.

Queenstown Mountain Bike Club

Hivepass is easy to use and any time there has been an issue the developer has been extremely quick at rectifying it and providing assistance. Queenstown Mountain Bike Club could not run without Hivepass.

PROS

Hivepass has been instrumental in growing QMTBC membership from 900 members to almost 2000 in 2 and a half months. It has freed up valuable volunteer time to focus on other aspects of the club and takes care of almost all of the membership administration for us.

CONS

We are working the developer to create features to increase the apps capacity in event registration and health and safety documentation.

Hivepass has been amazing for our mountain bike club!

Overall experience has been flawless, I highly recommend working with Hivepass.

PROS

Hivepass is very easy to use, easy to set up and manage, looks stylish and professional. The team at Hivepass has been really helpful, friendly and responsive, they provide a very personal service and make you feel confident working with them. It has diminished the need for countless admin hours managing our membership base freeing up time for other tasks.

CONS

There have been no cons since we signed up, we're looking forward to a few of the upcoming features being available which Hivepass are developing from our wishlist.

Very good. Would highly recommend for MTB clubs and organisations that want to improve communication with members and drive revenue generation

Easy to use, great customer support, easy way to collect supporter funds and push notifications improve our comms

CONS

The developer is constantly working on improvements so there are no real long term cons - if there are we report them and he fixes it

It has solved a manual system of sorting club memberships and saved the club posting over 3000 paper memberships.

PROS

The ease of communicating with our members especially the push notification functionality.

CONS

We'd like to be able to manage our family memberships easier and to schedule push notifications.

Game Changer for MTB Clubs

Our membership base has increased already, and we haven't even been through a full year. It's really brought the image of the club up to date. Personal support from the developer has been awesome!

PROS

This app has modernised our membership process, it's improved the image of the club and made signing up for membership easy and appealing, and allows people to easily their membership status. The option for automatic renewal of membership frees up heaps of time. Our members have easy access to special deals, and we can send them notifications for big news items.

CONS

I haven't been through membership renewal process yet, I imagine there will be some work in addition to the in-built functionality with reminding members to renew.

Hivepass for a mountain bike club

Hivepass has provided a membership platform that has saved many hours of manual management.

PROS

Deployment was super easy and the product instantly provided essential functionality without us even having to describe what that should be.

CONS

The product is young, meaning that it lacks functionality outside of core areas and the interfaces can be a bit clunky. We've also experienced a few bugs. However this is also a good thing in that there is a very active development programme that we have been invited to submit our requests and priorities into.

Simple feature rich Sport club membership

Saved so much admin time and takes the financial dealings away from volunteers. Easy to capture more members, signups onsite at events, with a simple weblink.

PROS

It's mobile integration and easy workflow for users to join our club. It means there is more time for us as volunteers to spend arranging events and easier to capture new members on the spot!!

CONS

I can't think of anything that I disliked about the software.
