Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • The ability to hand write directly on PDFs with Pencil is helpful, and the different options for writing are great.
  • Both the document creation and user interface are very well designed. Its easy to bookmark pages and refer back to it if you lose track of the writing.
  • Cons

  • After 1 hour of use, the pen sensibility gets low. Some commands (like adding a photo) requires too many steps so it gets tiring and boring.
  • The only complaint I have with this software is that things that are hyperlinked in pdfs don't stay hyperlinked once I import it into Goodnotes.

  • Pros

  • I love that mendeley has both an online and offline version and they sync with each other. The tool is very light and integrates readily with libreoffice.
  • This is a free reference manager with helpful browser integration. It's easy to install and has decent online literature to support its use.
  • Cons

  • I stopped using it because it didn't support google docs and because the sync storage was too limited.
  • In addition, mendeley synchronization capabilities seem to be limited.
