dotloop is a cloud-based real estate transaction management solution designed for brokers, teams, agents and service providers. Primary features include transaction management, workflow tools, audit trails, eSignatures, document management, task templates and reporting.

dotloop allows users to manage transactions, edit, share and e-sign real estate documents. It also offers compliance, storage, form editing and digital signatures features. Users can view their business performance using the reporting tools.

It provides compliance management and real-time notification features for changes in deal status. dotloop offers integration with Boomtown, Inside Real Estate, LionDesk, RealGeeks, Zurple, SweepBright, SnapNHD, Google Drive, Preclose and others.

Support is offered via email and over the phone. Other help options include webinars, onsite seminars and tutorials.

Easiest electronic signature and file signing system that I have used so far. I have used multiple different softwares and have found this to be my preference.

Cons

Sometimes the software will put the signature box that should not be signed in a person's signing responsibility but it is not often this occurs. small glitch.

The system was easy to use and was intuitive. When purchasing a home it was easy to see what check point was next, where to sign, where to initial and more. I found the platform to be easily used on both my phone and laptop.

Cons

There were a few mishaps which completing one document but that was it. My realtor was able to jump in and mitigate the issue with ease.

Customer service takes too long to answer, on holidays they close at 5pm - real estate is a 24/7 business. Do you think all issues will take place before 5pm? I have to use this software for KW oversight reasons, otherwise, I would stay as far away from it as I possibly could. Too many problems with clients not being able to "adopt and Sign" Always some issue or another-I hate this Product as do most agents who refuse to use it.
It's browser specific which is yet another problem

Bad Software, Not Efficient, Horrible Customer Service

I highly recommend using a different software. Dotloop promises a lot, but performs horribly. Customer service and account Rep Ana Fleisher not willing to work with me around contract.

Cons

Everything. I was told I can share any and all documents with anyone involved in a transaction. However, important documents such as inspection reports and appraisal reports are too large of files to be shared. Second, the electronic signature portion is very cumbersome and time consuming. Docusign is a much better software. Third, their customer service is awful! It takes days to respond, if they even do respond. They only care about their bottom dollar, and not the client. Fourth, because the software is so bad, agents on my team have invested in their own software because of how much they do not like Dotloop.

I appreciate the extensive training manual and feel the system is easy to learn and use.

Pros

Dotloop helps me keep my documents organized. There is a lot of paperwork involved in property management, and dotloop is perfect for streamlining our processes of collecting signatures and organizing files.

Cons

My only complaint is the inability to permanently delete documents or loops. While I understand the idea of 'better safe than sorry', archiving loops doesn't make them disappear from searches, which can clutter things up, especially if a property or loop has been taken over by another agent.

I can edit documents, share them for esignatures, and manage tasks all in one place. They also have integrations with many other real estate companies (CRM, finance, etc.)

Cons

I wish there was an agent product that allowed me to brand my account but that feature is only available at the Team or Office level currently.

I have never had any huge issues with Dotloop. If I ever experience anything difficult, the Dotloop customer service helps immediately to get the problem solved. Would highly recommend Dotloop for any paperless company!

Pros

The ease of use. Dotloop provides access to anyone with a simple addition of an email and a name. Very straight forward for clients to use, even let's them sign with a click of a button. Dotloop also keeps files neatly organized. You're even able to add PDF's direct from your email into the loop and folder you like!

Cons

There actually isn't much that our office does not like about Dotloop. The only thing that can be an issue is if you have one client as multiple parties. For example, while using the "auto-fill" function of dotloop, if you have an agent that also doubles as the purchaser, there is no way to use the same email account for separate signature spaces for the different roles. Before sending out to clients, you must go through the document and verify that all signatures spaces are assigned correctly.

Dotloop has saved us so much time and money, and I could not imagine ever having to go back to getting signatures the old fashioned way. In addition, both myself and my boss can access documents from anywhere we have an internet connection, so it has kind of acted as a cloud server for us as well. Overall, I really love this software, it has made my job so much easier.

Pros

I work as a transaction coordinator for a real estate agent, and Dotloop has revolutionized the way we do business. The best feature of this software is the ability to digitally sign paperwork, which saves us so much time and money. Many times, we go back and forth negotiating a contract, and we need initials and signatures each time we make a change. Rather than having to physically meet up with clients, we are able to acquire signatures quickly and easily via email.

Cons

Sharing a loop can be confusing. I rarely share my loops with other agents for fear of them having access to and changing things they shouldn't and vice versa.

DotLoop is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. When you create a new loop, it essentially walks you through what documents are needed for every stage of a transaction.

Cons

There were times when I was unable to close loops that were completed and I could not figure out why.

Cons

I did not like the user dashboard for this, I did not like that clients have to create an account to sign. With other programs, they can just be verified by their email and then sign.

I LOVE Dot Loop. We had been hesitant on making the move to Dot Loop, but we took a leap of faith! It was the best choice for our company. This software makes documents easy to autofill, share with others, and have them electronically signed. You can submit loops and documents for review from higher authorities within a channel for accuracy and storage. It eliminates paper and filing cabinets from a room in the office. It is the perfect software to store all the documents for your transactions.

Cons

The only thing that we are finding that we dislike is that you cannot send a document for electronic signature to one email for several people to sign. Each person has to have a designated email. We are used to being able to use the same email for multiple users for example, Husband and Wife. We are going to work around it though because the Pros outweigh the Cons!

I really love how everything I need is all in one loop and my Broker can access it to help me with my paper work when needed.

We could not have managed the sale and purchase of our properties without this software. Dotloop allowed us to expedite a process that would have been much to slow to meet our incredibly strict timeline. Thanks to Dotloop, signing documents and keeping everyone organized and on the same page was a breeze!

Cons

There was a weird message at the end that wasn't easy to determine if it was part of the process or not. I clicked on it several times not realizing I didn't have to and ended up down some rabbit holes I wasn't prepared for.

Getting signed contract documents quick and efficiently.

Pros

I like that everything is organized by loops and that you can auto populate information just by filling out a form and it fills out the information for you so you don't need to go in and do it yourself. I like the convenience of having it done for you and notifying you when something has been signed. I also like that you can upload templates so that you can fill out the information in DotLoop rather than in a PDF.

Cons

I don't like that when you are an admin for your company that everyone else that is an admin receives the signed document and I don't like that you can't opt out of certain agents signed documents when they are completed. I wish there was also an easier way to transfer your loops with all of your paperwork to one account to another.

I really like how easy it is to share everything with clients and anyone involved in a transaction. It is an easy way to keep each listing organzied and all the documents together. It is easy to fill out forms and share with everyone who may need to see the documents. Very easy to collaborate and get things done!

Cons

There are some things such as adding in initial spots that I have had some trouble figuring out. I have not had a chance to reach out to customer support on this.

It provides for secure real estate transactions at a distance. It also tracks all changes to any document and keeps all documents for a transaction in the same file or "loop."

Pros

Once you have learned how to use DotLoop it is easy to use in future documents. It is very secure and fairly quick.

Cons

It takes a little bit of time to learn how to use DotLoop as a real estate agent. Making changes to documents requires a little bit of a learning curve until you understand how it works. Then it is pretty easy. Also, if you are working with a couple who share the same email address, they both cannot sign a contract as it requires separate email addresses for each signature.

Easy to use. Site is clean and organized. Customer service is helpful 90% of the time. That's basically all the nice things I have to say.

Cons

Site could be so much better with some major attention to detail. Little things are so tedious and frustrating that it becomes a pain you have to live with. When submitted documents to review, even if you only select one, all documents you have edited will be submitted, regardless if you are actually finished editing the document or not. When you select a folder to submit to review, it still asks you which folder you want to submit to review if there are more than one folder. Submit to review button needs to be much bigger so agents don't think they have to share the folder with staff (this creates a whole new loop which confuses agents). I could go on and on, but this is the only document storage site our company permits us to use, so we have to make the best of it.
