Easy History Checking

We really like Mailtrap’s feature to store and analyze email logs since it's been super handy to look back at what we did in past email campaigns and improve them.

PROS

The opportunity to check old emails helps us see patterns. Once we analyze them, we can tweak our campaigns. It's really improved our sending efforts.

Does what you'd expect

Mailtrap has been very useful, both in its free and paid versions. It doesn't have any amazing bells/whistles, but it is nice to be able to catch and view emails.

PROS

Mailtrap does exactly what it was set up to do - catch your outgoing mail in non-production environments. It is easy to use and gives good setup instructions for many different project types

CONS

I'm nitpicking, but forcing a certain level of payment to allow access to the email address directly felt like a pretty strange move. It was useful when transitioning to an Email API that wouldn't have been caught on non-production environments without it, so we went ahead and paid the little bit extra to get it.

For several years, we used Mailtrap for email testing, and recently we decided to include their email-sending service in our usage. I’d say we met our goal since it's replaced the need for several tools and made our work more efficient.

PROS

What impresses us most about Mailtrap is its commitment to data clarity. It offers in-depth weekly summaries that help track everything properly and give us valuable insights. Moreover, their efficient alert system ensures we're the first to know when something needs our attention!

CONS

Great handling of emails

I like it alot, has made my email life easy at work.

PROS

I liked how it made going through multiple emails easy by selecting those relevamt and most important first. As well as the personalised notifications and spam management.

CONS

Sometimes in the notifications it would include some unnecessary emails hence loading my notifications.

SMTP service with useful stats

We have been using this SMTP service for quite some time. What sets it apart is the dashboard, which is filled with all the essential metrics we need.

PROS

It has an email category reports feature. These reports were especially handy when our template needed improvement, so it led us to refine it. Moreover, the ability to view the content of emails after they’ve been delivered is also quite useful.

CONS

While Mailtrap has many strengths, it needs to catch up when it comes to the availability of an inbox email address on lower-tier plans. This could be improved for smaller businesses or teams who are just starting out.
