UDA ConstructionSuite offered by UDA Technologies provides a comprehensive solution to meet the needs of builders, remodelers, GCs, construction managers and real estate developers.

UDA ConstructionSuite combines construction estimating and project management functionalities into a single solution. The solution offers multiple features including estimating, scheduling, specification, and document management. The software gives users complete control of all the activities involved in a property construction cycle. An intuitive dashboard provides an overview of the entire site operations as well as helps to track business KPIs.

UDA ConstructionSuite can integrate with a number of other software systems including QuickBooks, MS Project, Primavera P3/P6, RSMeans, PlanSwift, and AutoCAD Revit. Users can also access UDA ConstructionSuite on their Android and iOS based mobile devices to access project summary from anywhere.

I like the the way the software is set up and all different estimating option that has, which i believe is it can save us time.

Cons

poor customer service and product assistance. I have called many times when I was having trouble with the software and none one was able to help. they don't at least help to get going in the initial process. the software it self seams to have connection issues all the time.
I feel for the amount of money paid for the product, there should be at least some help.

Pros

It handles all of the rigors of Owning and running a General Contracting Company! It is like having several more employees with just a few clicks of the mouse.

Cons

I wish it had the capabilities to do takeoffs within the UDA Construction Suite platform. If this process could be established, it really would be your one stop shop for all of your Construction estimating needs.

I began using UDA when I was hired 6 1/2 years ago and I have worked with various software programs through the years and UDA is by far the most inclusive program beginning with sales leads to project completion. Since UDA is also integrated with QuickBooks, I can export the estimate into my QuickBooks Premier Contractor Edition and it sets up the customer, project and budget all at the same time. I can export the costs & income back into the estimate in UDA and the sales staff will have historical data to refer to in working on future estimates.

Not a full blown user but do use the estimating and reporting functions a lot. Thought I could clean up.
My computer and deleted some key files. Shut down the whole program. Customer support persisted and got me running again and saved all my data.

No software program works completely as you wish it did! This company though, works to achieve that. They listen to their Customers and work with them to make them better than they are. Their customer service is beyond expectations; sometimes beyond belief.

Advice to Others

Buy it! But don't kid yourself--a company-wide software product takes a time to implement. You need to allow the proper transition time or you will be frustrated.

I have been using UDA since we started up in 2009. I have recommended it to others several times. I have all my data stored on it since the beginning and often go back and look up estimates and schedules from the past. I have hired new staff and they have found it easy to learn and work with.

Pros

Ease of use and the power of organization. Success comes from being able to meet the expectations of the clients. This program helps you keep track of the details.

Cons

I have lost data with the hardware issue. It would be nice if it saved on its own so we would not have to remember to save often.

Advice to Others

Use the free trial. Attend the webinars.

We use the software primarily to generate bids. For this, I find the software to be useful. There seems to be a lot of extra bells and whistles to wade through. I'm an old school contractor and look to simplicity in my business and tend to rely on paper and pencil more than computers and tablets.

If you're looking for an all-inclusive package to manage construction sites contracts and personnel this software will do it all.

Pros

Included in the package that I chose it had all of the necessary legal documentation and RS Means a great tool for estimating!

Cons

It is a bit overwhelming to get started. This program does so many things including linking with quick books which are great but trying to figure out the functions and how they work together is a bit of a learning curve. Also, they seem to still be working on the cell phone apps (getting better but still a little glitchy.

Advice to Others

Use the technical support often. It's a great staff they have, that will do whatever it takes to make you successful with their product.
