When I first used Sage years ago, it was brand new on the construction scene but it by far blew the software we were using away. It seems to have gotten better with age. #### Cons Initial setup was not as smooth as I feel it should have been. The reports are great however, customizing certain items specifically rails for us. We haven’t migrated over yet but overall it has been wonderful. Our integration team is extremely helpful in training and answering all questions we have no matter how complicated. They have also been open to finding new ways to make the intacct process similar to certain functions we currently use in 300. It also has a much easier user interface than our current sage 300 CRE, which will be helpful in training new hires, our PMs, and those not necessarily technologically inclined. #### Cons It’s much different than sage 300, in a good way, but the transition is a bit difficult. There are different terms for invoicing (order entry) and purchase orders, which are 2 of my top functions in the current Sage software. My overall experience with Sage is a love-hate relationship to say the least. In order to get the exact report that you need, you need to make sure you have all the proper modules or have an outside agency create a specific report for you or if you make a report of your own, you need to have a degree in CSS coding or some sort of coding experience #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 3/5 - Value for money: 2/5 - Customer support: 2/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros There really isn't anything in particular that I like most about it. I'm used to it by now, so I understand how it works and that's really the most I can tell you. #### Cons It's not as user friendly as they make it out to be. If you need something specific, you need to have an outside agency do it for you, which costs money. With today's economy, you'd think they would make something a bit easier on the wallet, but that's not the case. They make you believe that what you need is included, but if you need something like estimating, that's not included in the base program. Despite needing an estimating module for construction, that's an extra. If you do serviceable work, that's an extra module added. It is great at keeping the GL cleaner. #### Cons There's not a lot bad to say. If I had to complain, it would be that the system gets very granule, so it can be time consuming.
