I work for a company that does roll forming. I have been using Fishbowl Inventory for about six years. Before we started using Fishbowl, we tracked inventory using pen and paper. We also use Quickbooks, and had been looking for a Inventory system compatible with Quickbooks.

We came across Fishbowl and thought we would give it a try. I was trained over the telephone for three days, about two hours a day. The person who trained me was so very helpful. I was sure that I would not be able to learn how to use the inventory system over the phone - but to my surprise, they made it so easy for me to understand. I sailed right though the training.

The support staff at Fishbowl is very knowledgeable and so helpful. I remember one incident that stands out. We lost the hard drive on one of our computers, which took down our network. Talk about panicking! Upon contacting Fishbowl support for some guidance and most-needed help, they were able to retrieve all my data without losing any information. If it hadn't been for their outstanding knowledge, we would have lost all of our information and would have had to recreate all that data - a task which would have taken me a good six to seven months.

Fishbowl Inventory is very user-friendly as well. Trust me - I am not a computer person - so if I can learn how to use Fishbowl, then anyone can.

We've been using Fishbowl for a few years now. Our favorite feature is the ability to have multiple pricing levels for multiple products and multiple customers. The options are limitless. We also love the ability to buy in bulk, case or pallet quantities and sell by individual units.

I think the reporting tool needs some work, but since Fishbowl is so easily integrated with Quickbooks, many of our reports are run through Quickbooks.

Dollar for dollar, Fishbowl Inventory is the best purchase you can make when deciding on an inventory program. We purchased this in 2009, and it has been the most effective and bulletproof program we run. Fishbowl works seamlessly with Quickbooks Pro, and has never created an issue for us.

We needed the ability to track lot numbers and also manufacture some parts. We have been able to do this without issues and continue to grow our business. We have gone from 1,200 parts to over 5,000 without experiencing any issues.

The support has been excellent, and when we ask for a change on a report or form, they respond quickly. We have also found that it is an easy program for new employees to learn.

We would recommend this software.

Our experience with Fishbowl has been terrific. We are a manufacturing company, and wanted a platform that would sync with QuickBooks easily, and yet have the tools necessary for manufacturing and inventory control.

As we have grown, so has Fishbowl and its capabilities. They are continually updating the software, making it more powerful and useful for our purposes. They continue to add more features and reports. Our only criticism would be that they still lack some reports that would be quite useful for our use. Otherwise, they have been very responsive, and are good people to work with.

We are very happy with Fishbowl and recommend it highly.

Largo Tank & Equipment is a manufacturer of flatbeds, truck bodies and truck-mounted vacuum tanks for oilfield service. We had a software program that did not suit our needs and was not user-friendly. Fishbowl was the first new program we looked at and and I was hooked! Since going live in 2007 with the 5.0 version, we have been able to keep a better handle on our inventory and information. We are currently using the 11.5 version and it just gets better and better! It's the easiest system I have ever worked on, and I've seen quite a few.

Having never set up an inventory software program by myself, I was pretty nervous but Fishbowl is so self-explanatory, it was a breeze. A few days of reading up and I was ready to go. I did not attend any training classes, even to this date. The online help and help built into the system is very easy to go through and learn from.

We use Fishbowl as a stand-alone inventory system and it is perfect for our needs. We do inventory in September and our counts in 2010 were the best we've ever had! The cycle counts are easy to do and with the import/export capabilities of Fishbowl, it goes quickly and efficiently.

The support you get from the team at Fishbowl is superior, from customizing our reports to answering any questions that might come up.

The benefits - what can I say? I've quit pulling out my hair and feel so good about the choice that we made to go with Fishbowl!

We purchased Fishbowl inventory management system about 6 months ago for our healthcare company and it has been a debilitating experience for my company. Some of the many problems we have are: everything is an upgrade fee, they don't tell you this until you need it to run a certain report and when you request it, UPGRADE FEE.....our purchases and invoices are not carrying over to Quickbooks. Many of them do but we are constantly finding invoices that never made it over to Quickbooks. My customer service rep wanted to cut and paste a mailing address into the Fishbowl program so she doesn't have to manually enter addresses every single time that she ships something out (25 times per day) and cutting and pasting caused the program to completely mess up the system so now we have to manually enter addresses every time an order is placed. I could go on and on. Our CEO called them last week to complain after we told him that we have called at least 25 times with various problems and it is always something. Something gets fixed and then something else causes problems. We have spent over $30,000 dollars with this company and it is a complete nightmare. They don't seem to care very much about our concerns either. BUYERS BE CAREFUL!

Fishbowl Inventory Software has changed our business (First Place Supply). We're an Industrial Supply Distributor with multiple warehouses and multiple sales offices. Connecting sales to the warehouse, sales to accounting, and accounting to the warehouse is a monumental task when you're trying to do everything in Quickbooks.

Fishbowl has by far been the best money we have invested in our business this year. It was difficult to implement at first, because the staff did not want to change the way they did things and the system did not match what we were doing previously. Fishbowl's way has turned out to be better. Our employees wouldn't know what to do now if they didn't have access to Fishbowl.

I rated the ease-of-use with 4 stars, because everything is not as intuitive as more mature software. With every upgrade this seems to get better though. We tried about 6 different platforms before going with fishbowl, and it was by-far the most organized with respect to work-flow for software that doesn't cost millions.

This review is being written after 1 year's use, after processing thousands of orders, adding 700 vendors, and thousands of products entered. As far as we can tell, the only thing we'll need are more user licenses as our company continues to grow with the help of Fishbowl Inventory. Fishbowl Inventory is the best Distribution software that I have ever used. Before, I had Quickbooks Premier and Quickbooks POS. In a distribution center Premier was okay but not the POS. Now I can make purchase orders, receipts, sale orders, quotations, take credit cards, bill of materials, manufacture orders, transfer orders and much more. After that I can transfer all the information to Quickbooks automatically. I couldn't find software with all that functionality for that price. Everything that I found was much more expensive than Fishbowl Inventory. They also have good customer service. I either call them or email them and they call me back within a reasonable time.
