Transwide is a modular and carrier neutral Transportation Management Solution that is delivered in a Software as a Service format. The suite of integrated modules provides the tools for carriers to source, plan, execute, settle, and analyze operations with exceptional efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Transwide is ideal for shippers who are looking to take advantage of the benefits of automating their transportation and logistics operations and processes in a way that allows for minimal risk, rapid ROI, and achievable deployment objectives. The modularity and “pay as you go” business model enables companies to deploy a TMS solution at a pace that won’t overtax their logistics, operational resources, or IT resources. It offers the opportunity to deliver ROI on every transaction; scale up with additional modules, functionality, or volumes; or scale out to additional sites, carriers, logistics partners, vendors, or customers.
Transwide has support, sales, and implementation staff stationed in offices in New York, Brussels, Shanghai and São Paulo. They are already trusted partners for over two hundred companies across four continents. Transwide TMS solution customers vary in size of company, revenues, and transportation spend, and we typically recommend the system to companies with over three hundred million dollars in annual revenue. While many partner with Transwide to manage their over-the-road freight, the solution also supports ocean freight, barge, rail and intermodal transportation.
Transwide was named a 2014 Top 100 Logistics IT Provider by Inbound Logistics as well as a 2014 FL100+ Top Software and Technology Provider by Food Logistics.

We were the first U.S. company to start using Transwide. We utilize the tendering product to get our orders to truckload carriers. It saves us a lot of time and errors in the tendering process. Our carriers like it a lot with the 24/7/365 system availability.
Simplicity of use and clear organized transport order information for the users.
Login is fast, easy to add users, TW Support is very reactive and helpful for both Shipper and Carriers. Don't have to keep changing password like a lot of systems.
System updates are always done on weekends.
Screen changes are a bit slow (about 15-30 seconds per screen).
Scheduled down time is always planned for best time in Europe so is always during U.S. business hours.
You can choose what products you want to use, don't have to use all of them. So it is flexible to your needs.

I have been using this program for Caterpillar without any issues. I do not use it as often as I used to because Jessica here has been scheduling Caterpillar. Thanks,

Good tool for scheduling loads. Reporting leaves a lot to be desired. System is slow. I am not privy to costs.
Ability to schedule loads.

I use this tool periodically. It's very simple to use and if I have any questions, Kim responds very fast.
Passwords don't change every 3 months, very user friendly.
Nothing as of today.

Transwide is by far the best dock appointment scheduling site that I have used. Open time slots are easy to identify, and capture. The slots are tailored to each facility based on their ability to handle inbound or outbound volume, resulting in less wait time for drivers.

Pros of Transwide: Reduces phone calls to carriers, improves tracking.
Cons of Transwide: Transwide does not feed changes in Transwide to SAP.
Andrew from Caterpillar
We are very happy with the tool and the service provided by it and the team that helped implement it. Ellie and Stephanie were great to work with, even coming on-site to our facility for training.

I have no other web based scheduling systems to compare it to, so I ask carriers that do. There are only a few carriers that use web based systems like this and they think Transwide is the best. The customer service person I deal with is Stephanie and she is fantastic. The only reason I rated customer service where I did is because if she isn't there the service level drops very low. A major concern of this system is that it is wide open. Anyone that uses the system can wreck havoc on it. They can delete appointments, activate schedules, delete schedule templates, etc with no traceability. Inserting a new group in a schedule is impossible without doing a whole new schedule. That is extremely time consuming.
