When we implemented CS in our firm we changed from a homemade software to a total solution with great support. It was very exciting to be the first firm in the country that used this platform.

CS Professional Suite caused more problems than is solved.

Also, sometimes UltraTax does not allow hard input.

There will be times where it will crash for no apparent reason. I believe we just have so much housed within it and it gets stuck and quits.

The customer service is good however even if it is their software that is the problem they will charge you to fix their issues. We have had two sales teams and both teams have been horrific.

Consequently there was no real integration between products. CS overcame this problem.

The programming error in the software was a very basic error. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The knowledge library is very comprehensive and has everything we need. All checklists, forms, etc. are all there that we use at our firm.

This has caused some confusion and trouble with billing clients correctly. I am not sure why the programs are not using the same configuration for client IDs when they are made by the same company.

They charge for support on all products except UltraTax. Practice is becoming a dinosaur, and badly needs to be updated.

We use UltraxTax with Thomson Reuters. I had some questions about the software and was not able to find the answer online, I used the live chat customer service and they were able to help.

The integration between the products is top notch and so helpful. Most of the products are relatively intuitive to use.

In 2015, it made a significant error in my state filing. I was audited by the state, and based on the error that the software made, I owe the taxes plus $700 in penalties and interest.

It may be difficult to begin working with the software and no prior training/knowledge.

My firm uses the CS Professional Suite, including Workpapers, Fixed Assets, UltraTax, GoFileRoom, and Practice. Each software is perfect for our needs with extensive features included.

There is one negative however, the client IDs have to be set up slightly different in File Cabinet and Practice.

The program is so slow I lose hours of time waiting for an entry to register. The excel file import errors out and tells me the file is open in another location when its not.

The layout is very easy to maneuver around with, simple and easy to learn. Integrated software are easy to learn as well, they chose the best software to integrate with.

The system has the ability to be a valuable tool in the day-to-day functions of time management and the other modules set up within the Suite.

The software itself is a powerful tool. Coupled with the fantastic consulting teams who help us make it work best for our business.

Its great for a small to mid size firm who covers all facets of accounting.

I like how Thomson Reuters offers a variety of comprehensive products.

The software is very sophisticated but user friendly at the same and is constantly updated and improved.

Good software, wish it had some better features.

Works brilliantly most times, which is important for smaller operators who don't have onsite technical help etc, only actual accountants.

Use is good but the product is getting very expensive for a small practice like ours.

I like the fact that the modules are integrated and the transfer of data between them is seamless.

Very good product, generally easy to use, and good support for technical matters.

I don't like the fact that there is little consultation on program changes or enhancements.

Ease of use, great features, caters for all client types, very reliable.

And I also wish to mention about the very scary functionality surrounding report writing.

I have been using Handisoft for many years and have always found the software to be user friendly and reliable.

I like the ability to email support, rather than having to wait on the phone. Replies are always prompt and to the point.

Easy to use, relatively error-free, excellent support.

Simple to install and operate. Support staff very helpful.

Great program that I have been using for over 10 years.

I tried valiantly a few times to venture into this, but the complexity, the lack of ease, the difficulty that requires almost an programming degree, has left me avoiding this at all costs.

The HandiSoft product transfers the tax details so that it makes completing a tax return quick and efficient saving me a lot of time. I like the flexibility of editing transactions.

Once you know the software it is easy to use because it all ready set up for you to use. The support team is useful to help you if you have questions.

Very good product overall, but very expensive, and the annual increase in cost over the years has never been, in my mind, able to be justified, especially if we compare the increases with inflation.

Cannot see any particular area I dislike or could comment about.

Whilst there are a few small issues with the some of the reporting functions, there could be a few additional options, basically we are very happy with all aspects of the software packages.

I like the fact that it is a well integrated system if you get several modules. Easy to install on desktop & workstations.

I am a semi-retired accountant and I very much enjoy using the product to do a small number of tax returns. I particularly like the fact that it gives me errors messages toot help me get it right.

However, when there are any problems with the program or questions we have it is difficult to get in contact with someone who is able to help.

I like the user friendly package. I like the document layouts as they are easy to talk through with clients and clients like the layout of the reports.

We have been using the software for about 30 years and love the ease of use. Makes tax return preparation easy.

Sage is reliable, the products are easy to use. The software enables us to manage our business needs effectively.

Handisoft is great to deal with. Any difficulties are dealt with quickly.

Easy to use very intuitive. Loved the seamless interaction of the modules.
