Streamlining Month-End Close and Enhancing Financial Analysis with Avise
Previously, our month-end close process took more than 20 days, and thanks to Avise, we were able to shorten the timeline to just five days in just a couple of months. One great functionality offered by Avise is the Incoming entries feature. It enables me to review any entry in QuickBooks Online (QBO) that has been posted in a period that is either soft closed or not opened in Avise. This functionality allows us to easily track changes in entries, such as modifications in amounts, description, class, or any other dimension. We can then approve these changes individually or in bulk. This option becomes particularly useful once the financial statements are finalized, as it helps us understand what changes were made and when.Moreover, we have been leveraging the flux Analysis functionality provided by Avise. It presents an organized view that allows us to compare financial statements month to month quickly. We can also view comments in the current period or refer to comments from previous months that explain the flux. This feature saves us valuable time, and the best part is that we no longer need to rely on Excel to do the manual work or keep records of these types of reports.These additional features provided by Avise have greatly enhanced our financial reporting process, enabling us to have better control over changes in entries and facilitating efficient analysis of financial statement fluctuations.Amazingly Avise has become more robust month after month.
CONSThere is nothing to mention here from my side, as they have excellent customer support that quickly reacts to any question or inquiry.

Avise makes our lives so much easier!
We started working with the Avise team really early on, and have really enjoyed the mutual meeting of the minds on how our Accounting processes should flow in the software, where improvements can be made, and overall how the product could provide the best service possible. They really think like Accountants for Accountants!
PROSOur team really likes the task management features in Avise, especially for our month-end financial close process. The task management allows us to clearly define the tasks that are needed to complete the close, assign the correct tasks to the right people, and keep track of progress so that we can finish our close on-time each month.
CONSThe interface is a little cluttered, and at times, it can be a little difficult to find exactly what you are looking for. More automated interfaces will be helpful as Avise continues to develop the product.

Avise Review
Allows for organization and tracking of monthly close tasks. My favorite features in Avise are the various statuses one can use for the progress tracking of a task, being notified via email when a task is ready for my review, and showing the total percent completion of the monthly close at a glance.

Quickbooks integration with Avise

PROSWe were working with a giant spreadsheet that was prone to errors and took hours to true up at month end. Avise made it so that our consolidated BS & PnL were up to date every day, not just EOM. We’ll also be utilizing their prepaid and fixed asset modules so we can kick the spreadsheets on those and allow the system to regulate that based on the parameters we set
CONSI would love to see the financial reporting output to mirror that off QuickBooks and in an excel format.
