Auctria is a cloud-based bidding and auction management solution designed for small and midsize nonprofits. It offers website management, payment processing, bid sheets, donor receipts and reporting functionalities within a suite.

Auctria's website management feature allows users to create custom websites for every bidding event. The website allows users to sell event tickets and manage online registrations. The product also enables users to track information such as donor contacts, auction items and bid amounts.

Auctria features bidder automation, which allows users to manage registration, bid offerings and close-outs. The solution also allows users to manage auction-related documents such as bid sheets, display pages, gift certificates and auction catalogs.

Auctria allows users to manage close-out and handle payments, donations, tickets, products and receipts after events. The solution is able to support a variety of currencies.

Great Value

This software was an incredible value for the money. We use it as a fundraising tool, so volunteers are the ones using it. That meant there wasn't a lot of training time and we had to rely on each other and the user guide. While there were some bumps, given our own limitations, it was a good buy and allowed us to maximize the fundraiser.

Pros

The reporting functions were invaluable in helping us to stay on track. The printing functions just by themselves saved us hours of volunteer time that otherwise would have had to have been done manually.

Cons

I had trouble customizing the public website portion of our event. To be fair, I did not have time to reach out to customer support, who may have been able to help me. Also, the breadcrumbs at the top of the page were not actually breadcrumbs, and were sometimes confusing. It would have been nice to have some additional filter functions, as much of the date carried over year to year and it wasn't always easy to locate what was relevant to this year's event. For example the dashboard gave us the total number of bidders in the system, which was three times the number of tickets sold for the event. Finally, the import/export functions were not as smooth as hoped.

Auctria was great for our preschool auction

Pros

Great documentation, easy to use, and good support when it was needed. Also we had a feature request that was very important for our particular group and the team at Auctria was able to get it implemented in time for our auction.

Cons

Auctria met the needs we had for our auction, editing donations submitted online by donors would be a nice feature.

Easy setup

Excellent, this was our first attempt at an online auction, and it was smooth...wouldn’t do it any other way.

Pros

While there are many configuration parameters, and it spears complex at first, it was easy to setup and configure.

Cons

Need to dive into more config details as we missed adding a sponsor splash for wash of our ads.

Some confusion processing payments after the auction completed . Users had to confirm payment, so not sure if this can be automatic...perhaps in the config.

Very good experience. The manual is easy to find and customer support responds quickly.

Pros

I use this software for one to three events per year so each time I use it, I have to remind myself. It is easy to pick up and for others on the committee to learn quickly for their needs.

Cons

Sometimes it's not intuitive where to find things such as when you are entering things on a page and get to the bottom expecting to be able to save everything. That isn't always the case. You have to go back to the top left and confirm whatever it is you entered.

Reports need improvement.

We've been using for 3 years now and it's been helpful.

Pros

Ease of payment and bid tracking. I like how you can export data into excel. Easy to change items and bidders.

Cons

The reporting wasn't helpful. There should be a total for the reports, and without the need to export it. A total for each type(live versus silent). It only lists the values, but not the bid or payment values on the dashboard. So it would be helpful if the reporting was more user friendly.
Also, not sure if there is a bid notification feature, or if we can print a bid of so we can notify the users.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review. Adding totals to reports is a great feature idea and one we hope to implement in the future. The auction dashboard currently lists bid & payment values in the Income Summary table on the right, the Item Summary table shows only the item values. There is also an 'Income by item type' report available under Reports -> Financial. You can trigger bid notifications by email and optionally text message when recording bids by checking the 'send item won notification' on the page. Quick to Learn

Awesome! Ease of use was fantastic. The one question I had about credit card activation was promptly answered within a few hours(email). There are a lot of features I did not use because of the short amount of time I had before my event. I can’t wait to dig in a bit deeper for my next event.

Pros

I signed up a few weeks ago and was able to get everything configured, including live credit cards configured in less than two weeks.

Cons

Default email statement links did not go to an online pay screen. You could get there but it was a little confusing. I chose to eliminate links and process the payments myself. The email statements served as receipts.

First time user, increased profit by $6000!

Auctria assisted our school with increasing our fundraising profits this year. Last time we did a silent auction on paper and raised $3000, with Auctria we raised over $9000.

Pros

The system was so easy to learn! Great instruction guides to assist when I needed a bit of help with understanding the features of the system.

Cons

I liked everything about Auctria, we will definitely be using it again for our next online auction.

Software for Elementary school PTA auction

This was our first year to use an online auction tool prior to our live/silent auction event. After visiting with several auction software companies I had pretty much given up as I decided it just wouldn't fit in our budget. Then someone recommended I check out Auctria--I am so glad I did! I now cannot figure out how more expensive companies get away with it!

Pros

The price and the customer service. Whenever I emailed a question, I would hear back right away.

Cons

I cannot think of a con--great product!

A Great Auction Product!

Purchase this for the first time this year for our auction. Replaced a very old, custom built, Windows-based system. Very easy to learn and upload images. Very easy to add inventory. Created a website but it was very basic. Not able to scroll through images or link tickets to names of families in our system. A good and extremely helpful product, but does need some tweaking. Online guides were helpful.

Pros

Ease of entering new bidders, ease of entering new items, ease of generating reports, and ability to generate forms that took a great deal of time in the past

Cons

Not a lot of flexibility or creativity allowed in making our Auction Website. Very basic website. Also SLOW at checkout due to having to use local internet. Tough learning curve for new checkout cashiers -- most cashiers on the laptops could not get the hang of it. Those cashiers using Ipads did better.

Pros

The online support was great - the Auctria team was quick in their responeses and very helpful. The auction function was great.

Cons

No tutorials to watch. The auction function is great, but the ticketing and table arrangements are difficult to navigate. I spent alot of time re-doing tables and we had a difficult time figuring out how many tickets we had sold vs. reserved tables. There were also a few neuances in the way we listed items for auction that had to be re-done. We were not able to edit the ticket reciept and it was difficult that table host's could not regester their own guest's once they purchased a ticket.

St. Mary School Auction

We are a Catholic school that holds an annual Auction and we have used this software for about five years. We are planning to use more of the online bidding and features next year.

Pros

We find it user friendly, we like all the reports, we like that we can create our own stationery and that more than one user can be on the program. we also like the function that it takes credit cards.

Cons

That with our firewall loading pictures can be difficult. Sizing was a problem and upload window functionality. We would have to exit and restart program.

Offers tons of value, but could be more user-friendly.

I was really pleased. We will certainly be using this again in the future. It helped us achieve more income than we ever have with this event.

Pros

I loved the wide range of features. It gave me all the reports I was looking for, helped me track expenses, made checkout a breeze and helped us track things in a more organized way than ever before.

Cons

It’s reallh hard to find some of the features. They seemed to be binding in places I wouldn’t have thought to look. Also, the silent auction ended up resetting itself after the end time.

Auction & Appetizers

A very pleasant experience

Pros

User friendly and many features. Being able to generate email statements, and make changes after the event with user errors, is a nice feature. Also, being able to enter item descriptions, with images is a bonus.

Cons

Not being able to call a person. Two hours is a quick online response, but when we were training, we needed immediate answers.

Also, have not picked up on how to print reports. Probably user error.
