Simple and Automatic

My client wanted to code the Square transactions into different sales accounts and once set up Amaka does this automatically with little coding to be done in Xero.

PROS

The simplicity and automation. Once set up correctly there is only a couple steps to reconcile the transactions, the rest is automated. Each transaction is split into stock items and then coded to the correct chart of account without me having to do it manually.

CONS

The set up was a tad confusing but the support I received was very helpful.

Xero to Square support

PROS

We changed our login user credentials for access to Square which required us to reconnect a new integration. While a backend solution for this was not available (perhaps for the roadmap), [sensitive content hidden] opened our old integration and walked us through the previous settings on Zoom. This made it much easier for us to avoid data entry errors and allow a seamless transfer to xero.

CONS

That this required a support session rather than a backend migration that could have been supported via a ticket.

Customer Service

Easy to set up the integration initially and everything worked well for some time. It stopped syncing due to an unmapped tax code and it would not let me access the mappings. After speaking to Hani, I was given clear instructions on how to reauthenticate my account and it allowed me to check the mappings. It has hopefully solved my issues and I now know what to do in future if it happens again.

Hani in Support was quick to respond to my email regarding an issue with Xero integration. She gave me clear instructions on how to reconnect Xero to Square and it solved my problem.

I have received the best customer support by [SENSITIVE CONTENT]. If I could rate her 10 stars I would. She is knowlegble, polite and always goes beyond her duty of care to solve the issue for you. I think [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is the best asset for Amaka and I always come back to her. [SENSITIVE CONTENT], I cannot thank your support enough every time I had an issue. You always accommodate, patient and make sure the problem is solved 100%. Thank you so much, I love working with you.

UK & US timing difference sometimes means that we do not get the customer support in the short notice. Amaka Helps Streamlines our Accounting and Invoicing

PROS

The most impactful feature is the minimal to no input required, to record each transaction/payment in MYOB, which allows your business to focus more on making sales and sending invoices, rather than recording payments or having to create duplicate invoices if you use account keeping software and invoice through Square. The product is easy to setup an integrate with our businesses upgrade to MYOB Business Online solution.

CONS

It would be great to have more documentation on the Amaka website, for how payments are recorded in MYOB or any other accounting software. Given the integration requires other accounts to be created within MYOB such as Square Balance, Square Other Clearing Account, Square Sales etc., a guide to help with recording your first couple of payments, what syncs and how it syncs, would of made the setup seamless and time to learn being minimal. Once you have everything working and a few payments being processed, there is nothing difficult with the integration.

Reason for choosing Amaka

This was the only option available to integrate Square with MYOB.

Synching Square Sales to QBO

Integration was easy. I needed tech support to assist in synching historical data and they were easy to work with and accomplished the task. I have since had one other issue - again, tech support was easy to work with and accomplished the task!

The integration between Square and QBO is simplified and works very well.

CONS

There is a time difference between my location and where tech support is located so sometimes there is a delay in getting a response, but ultimately they have done a great job.

Simple integration with Square e-commerce store

PROS

With minimal help from my client's accountant, I was able to set up the Amaka integration between Square and MYOB for my client's e-commerce store. A quick call with customer support helped me iron out an issue I couldn't figure out and now it's all systems go.

CONS

It was tough to find a good timeslot to book a customer service call, but this is due to being located in the northern hemisphere while the support team appears to be in the southern hemisphere.

Amaka made my Xero/Square Integration so easy!

Amaka Customer Success Leader [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] really made my integration process a breeze. I sat back while she did all the work- explaining the process as she went. This was really great, as being new to Xero- it really shed alot of light on the mechanisms of this Accounting software. Now I can reconcile my accounts with ease.

PROS

Getting guided by the Amaka consultants during my integration with to separate Square accounts with my new Xero account was an absolute lifesaver! I was completely out of my depth (being new to Xero) trying to integrate 2 separate Square accounts, and loved having help from the Amaka team via Zoom. They literally did the whole transition for me via remote, while I just sat back and enjoyed the ride!

CONS

The act of integrating 2 separate Square accounts with Xero was no easy fete. There is no way I could have done this integration without the help of the team at Amaka.

Reasons for switching to Amaka

I made the switch because Xero integrates with more platforms such as Paypal.

Square + Xero Integration makes reconciling effortless!

It is hard to believe how helpful [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has been. We had two chats over skype and I gave her access to Xero as support so she was able to clean up a few mistakes I had created. She explained everything in wonderful detail with screen shots included! She must have spent many hours and I was not charged anything at all.

PROS

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] from Amaka helped me set up the integration. Once it was setup, my daily sales from square are automatically reconciled in Xero. It's like magic!

Square Integration

This is twice I've had support from Amaka who has helped me tremendously with integrating square with Xero. Thank you Troy for swiftly fixing my stuff up (changing the square account code) that completely turned off my customers online sales. You managed to fix this extremely quickly and efficiently!
