SSIS PowerPack allows us to automate all of our data and focus on analytics, not extracting data. We are able to better serve our clients when we can focus on their strategic plan and not be continually focused on collecting data from many disparate data sources.

The SSIS Powerpack is incredibly easy to use for noncoders and opens up limitless possibilities for your data. Before using the SSIS Powerpack our social media data was collected manually, which took hours and hours; this product allowed us to automate the data extracts from Facebook, Google Analytics, and YouTube. The documentation is written so that anyone slightly familiar with Visual Studio may easily follow, and the customer service is fantastic, they actually want to help you understand and use their product.

There haven't been any issues with the software that I haven't been able to review documentation and quickly fix.

Developers have the primary task of converting business logic into valuable data solutions. ZappySys removes the additional challenge of long hand coding various integration sources - and has a team dedicated to handling this aspect of the value chain.

(1) The online documentation is sometimes incomplete. That said, their technical support staff are capable and responsive. (2) Keeping the licensed Production server and Dev machines in sync has not been a challenge as yet, however, you may want to implement an enforced policy to do this on an annual basis to ensure that existing production jobs are not impacted. New revisions are not formally stated to be 100% backward compatible, so keep your revisions up to date.

Very positive. Updated several old SSIS jobs with the new PowerPack connectors and enhanced their reliability and serviceability. Replacing the stock Excel connector with the PowerPack version alone made a huge difference in the reliability, supportability and flexibility of SSIS jobs that interfaced with end-users via Excel. (Most business have some end-user input (budgets, sales projections, lookup-tables, etc.) that is often done via Excel). Since the PowerPack connector automatically will run 32/64 bit and with various versions of SQL Server and Visual Studio, it is MUCH easier to maintain.

I don't use a lot of the connectors to S3, etc. but the tasks that are supplied in the PowerPack are FAR superior to their corresponding tasks in vanilla SSIS. The Excel connector alone has made a major difference in our ability to reliably import and export Excel files to/from production processes. The Google Analytics connector FINALLY gives us a very easy way to extract and combine GA reports into a database via SSIS. Overall, VERY well thought out software that enhances the SSIS developer's ability to easily develop production SSIS packages.

No complaints! The PowerPack is so flexible that sometimes some training is needed but easily obtained through many videos provided by Zappy. Also, customer support is very responsive the few times I have contacted them.

Every organization I went to, I have recommended purchasing this add-on because the steps it performs avoids a lot of programming and setup. I've consistently delivered and no one can put a dollar amount on the development time saved. It can theoretically pay for itself in a week for a senior resource to work on packages.

We use the JSON file and API connectivity the most. Everything is configuration where there is no coding at all.

Some rough parts in the Excel component that can be further enhanced so it behaves like the CSV component in terms of looping through files. Need one for Access files as well.

I have been using a small subset of PowerPack but what it does it does it very well. Set-it up, deploy it and forget about it.

PowerPack had a collection of components that I could only find here. It allowed me to extend SSIS and automate a number of web and API data integrations.

I do not think it is the product fault but sometimes, setting-up API powered data integrations is difficult, at least for me.

The support is outstanding. Last year I was given a tight deadline and I couldn't get the Zappysys connector to do what I wanted it to do. I raised a request and within 3 days a new version was available that saved my skin.

What I really like about Zappysys software is that the user interface is littered with links to places where you can get more details.

This is going to sound odd, but, sometimes I find that the company name "Zappysys" gives people the wrong impression. It doesn't sound dull and boring enough to stop people worrying about things like longevity. I usually have to dig out our original PO to show that we've been using the software for getting on to 6 or 7 years.

The powerpack is extremely well rounded and functional. It is easy to implement and our use of the extended features has increased steadily over time. The SSIS Powerpack is a key element to our successful intergration into SAP, CRM Dynamics, Office and several 3rd party vendors

Managing mappings of the JSON source can be time consuming for large sources however overall implementation of products and functionality is quick and easy.

I am not a DBA by trade. I have had to learning everything on the job. My company wanted to extend our SQL environment to include the use of SSIS packages for data transforms and other tasks. This product has helped me expand my skill set with SSIS and SQL overall. Now I still get stuck on how to do something but Zappy has a great support team that will put you in a stroller and push you around. All the while tell you everything will be ok. Great product but its the support that keeps coming back.

Helps simplify tasks that can be a overwhelming for the accidental DBA. With a outstanding support network to guide you through the process of using the tools.

Easy to use. Originally purchased to use the SF component only but quickly found a use for most others component too. Customer support is excellent.

license manager does not work - we run on EC2 on Amazon AWS and the machine ids seem to be screwed up - would like a customer portal with assigned key management

For the needs of a Canadian Crown corporation, we have completed extensive research on leading vendors of SSIS components. One of our challenges was the task of importing data from a remote server in the Oracle cloud. Our data provider exposes the data in a couple of different JSON formats based on a customized REST API interface. Some of the JSON schemas were quite complex, including hierarchical data structures. After evaluating and testing similar products from different vendors, we have found the ZappySys package of components was the best package to address all our needs. We are impressed by the encapsulated intelligence in their components. In addition, ZappySys has the best tech support.

We are using Zappysys to replace a number of data connectors we were using for Google Analytics, Bing, web scraping tools and other outside data source API connections. Zappysys is critical to the success of our data and analytic needs.

Zappysys has made extracting data from our API sources fast and easy. No coding is involved and any support we have need was available with quick turnarounds. The seamless integration with SQL was critical for us and Zappysys has made that simple. It just works.

Every so often it will freeze up and need to be restarted but this is very rare.

Very easy to be installed and used!

It's very easy to install the solution. We had some problems with the firewall, but this where solved by our infrastructure team. Other problem, e.g. with collation, the support team from ZappySys helped pretty fast and competent to find the solution.

Until now, I haven't found any cons. But I'm still testing other features.

There are lot of useful features available in this PowerPack.

People may need a training session to know all the features.

This is great software if you using SSIS for your ETL loads. It offers a lot of functionalities that don't come out of the box from VS

Sometimes the windows do not go full screen property causing me not being able to click all the fields in the powerpack

It seems to do everything I need it to do, which is to extract database tables from a JSON cloud API source and load SQL server tables. I have not had to write any script tasks. Support sticks with you until you get your questions answered.

Some of the online training resources need to be updated to reflect the current version GUI.

With the amazing support and online guides we have been successful in connecting to several APIs over the past couple months. It's been an awesome learning experience and I can't wait to see what we get into next in the new year.

There is a steep learning curve for all APIs. Not your fault.

Using API calls and Google analytics have become easy with zappysys.

Most of the configuration set-up in the SSIS components we use are translated to simple english. For instance, you don't need to understand auth2.0 to set up Google Analytics authentication tokens through zappysys connection manager.

Documentation does not cover every nook and corner. Issues become difficult to find in google too.
