Everything in one place, board packets are easy to produce and modify. Board members are able to use the files as they wish – online or download the PDF. I love the fact that the formatting is automated. Board Pro saves at least four hours of administration time setting up the board packet. The price point makes it easy to decide to go with the software. It is without peer. #### Cons Small and responsive, the team at Board Pro seemed to anticipate any improvements I could ask for. Painstakingly slow, sometimes very hard to collate all information and really not easy to convene, I used to dread some of these meetings. When in the board meeting they are able to access the meeting and documents on their laptops, and follow the discussion in real-time. Easy billing, available extras like free continuing education programs on governance, and while they have higher paid programs they do not try to upsell you. Customer support is available through text. It is a bit more bare-bones than some other programs, but it fits our needs and does so for a fraction of the cost. It keeps tracks of meeting schedules, agendas, and added documents for review. Our Board members are able to access the information for the meetings, and the system sends them reminder notifications automatically. The program works well for us. #### Cons It is a bit more bare-bones than other software, so aesthetically there are a few things I would change but they are insignificant. The thing that I like least is that there are a couple of programs that are available for an upcharge that I would like to be included in the basic program. The generation of documents such as agendas and minutes are just a matter of adding text where needed, the layout template works well. The automatic cross referencing of 'decisions' 'action' & 'notes' makes it easy to do follow ups and have them stored in the appropriate places. We now have our meeting documentation on a screen, no need to print out screeds of paper to take to the meeting. The ability to search on a topic to see previous occurrences of an issue. #### Cons It's not a matter of not liking something but there are some areas where I would like to see improvements. We use 'Documents' as an archiving or filing system for our key documents, but if you want to edit a document you have to download it back to say word and then upload it again when done. Would be nice to be able to edit a document inside BoardPro. Meeting attendees at say an AGM can't be listed easily, there can be dozens at an AGM. This could be a category labeled 'member' or something similar, with no access rights but can be listed as attendees. You can't go straight to 'documents' upon opening BoardPro, you need to open a meeting first. May have this wrong, but we have a committee chair, but he doesn't always chair the meeting. Can't see how who chaired the meeting can be noted. Efficiency plus - As President and a board member I am informed and able to get my reports and photographs added through our GM. It makes for a very efficient well-informed Board meeting, and it cuts out endless sheets of paper copies to wade through that had to be sent out well before the meeting. The system allows us to easily connect all reports/photographs and deliver them easily before the meeting to all members to read. The system ensures that we have a swift but informed meeting every time. It is incredibly user friendly and very efficient.
