Awesome software! I love how it combines what Slack does, with chat and channels, but it's combined with other PM tools, like Jira or Asana. Saves my team and I time by keeping everything connected in one platform organized by projects and teams. Also the customer support when I got stuck using custom fields was fantastic. They responded the same day.

Overall, BasicOps has been a solid productivity and collaboration tool for our team. It simplifies project tracking, improves accountability, and makes communication clearer. With a few more customization options and enhanced integrations, it could become a go-to platform for even larger teams.

#### Ratings breakdown

BasicOps has a very clean, intuitive interface that makes task management and collaboration easy. I particularly liked how quickly I could set up projects, assign tasks, and track progress without a steep learning curve. The real-time updates and notifications also help teams stay aligned. Overall, our experience with BasicOps has been fantastic. It has significantly optimized our processes—from onboarding new team members to storing client information and quickly accessing everything we need when working with clients. It's a solid tool that keeps our workflow smooth, organized, and effective.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

We've been using BasicOps as our go-to project management tool, and it has truly streamlined how we work. The simplicity of the workflow is what stands out the most—it keeps things intuitive and efficient without unnecessary clutter. Having chat and meetings integrated directly within the platform is a game-changer, allowing our team to communicate seamlessly without switching between apps. The unlimited depth of project structuring is another huge advantage, making it perfect for managing large-scale, complex projects without losing visibility.

#### Cons

One thing that could use improvement is the chat popup—it stays up until every response and reply is read, which can be a bit intrusive at times. A bit more flexibility in dismissing it without having to mark everything as read would be a welcome tweak.

#### Reasons for switching to BasicOps

Never felt like I was utilizing it for the cost.

As a developer for 25 years, I have had the opportunity to use several management software programs such as TeamWork, Clickup, Redmine, Jira, and many others. We chose BasicOps because it is very comprehensive and meets our needs. We are a team of 15 people and have been using it for three years both internally and with our customers, who are also satisfied.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The quality/price ratio offered suits us perfectly (we opted for a “lifetime” subscription via AppSumo). The screens are very functional, even if they are a little old-school in design. Jesper responds quickly to emails and is happy to include customer requests in his roadmap.

#### Cons

The API offered is somewhat limited, even though developers continue to implement it. The design could be a bit more modern, even though it is very functional.

#### Reasons for switching to BasicOps

Teamwork was too complex for our basic usage

From the beginning, the platform was easy to set up and navigate. There was no need for onboarding or training. The task management features help keep everyone aligned, and having conversations, files, and updates tied to each task meant we didn’t have to chase information across different tools.

We are having a great experience using BasicOps. It always works as expected and rarely do we need to call tech support.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

BasicOps is working great for our small in-house marketing team. The majority of new projects come in thru email. With BasisOps integration, projects are easy to create and tasks are quick and to assign. It keeps everyone on track until project completion.

#### Cons

I wish that it retained my Filter and Sort preferences so I would not have to reselect every day. I would like to click to view Excel or Word files without having to download them. Similar to how it handles jpg and png files. Does BasicOps offer training? These may be current features that I am not aware of.

#### Reasons for choosing BasicOps

The cost was more in line with my needs for a small team.

#### Reasons for switching to BasicOps

BasicOps offered more features.

#### Vendor response

Thank you so much! We're all about helping both small & large businesses stay organized and efficient!
