Zirmed provides excellent revenue cycle management, it is easy to use and responsive
For my company, this product offers revenue cycle management and auto insurance verification. Contracting with Zirmed has allowed the organization to speed up their verification process and provide visits to patients faster.
CONSAs with every service, the software is not infallible. Quite unfortunately so, since it is an accurate product. Where it fails is with insurances that are not verified or for those that do not reach the clearing house, the insurance processor has to revert to a manual process to verify eligibility.

Best Software for Medicare Billing for Home Health
Overall, Waystar is an excellent tool for Medicare and non Medicare Billing, user friendly and very dynamic. It helps billers stay organized and on top of timely filing issues.
PROSwhat I like most about this software is their ability to manually entering claims daily. While other clearing houses take 48 to 72 hours to process claims, Waystar does so daily and within a few minutes. This feature assures the user that their claims will be billed in a time sensitive way. It is simple to use to run insurance verification, making the software useful not only to the billers, but also to other departments like Intake, and Authorizations. It has a lot of options to run Revenue Cycle reports, and it has improved our collections tremendously.
CONSThe only negative aspect that I see is that lately their customer support is lacking resources. A few months ago, we were able to get someone to help over the phone after a few minutes of hold, and lately, their call hold time exceeds 45 minutes to an hour sometimes. Their customer service through email option, even though is very efficient, it takes a couple of days to receive an answer back, and some issues need to be resolved faster than that.

Too Many Hidden Fees
I canceled my contract with them, and they would not allow me to cancel and I had to ride it out until the end and pay all their hidden fees. This is ridiculous and a mistake signing up with them. Our payment processing with them got very expensive because they did not have a chip reader for the credit card transactions. They have a magnetic stripe credit card swipe that you can buy for $99 that doesn't work 90% of the time, so we ended having to manually key in each transaction which causes the processing fees to be much higher and on top of that we had to pay them a monthly fee to use their product. I ended up switching to a different credit card processing company that gave a rate that is 15% less than their processing rate, they don't charge a monthly fee, they don't have a contract, and they don't have any hidden fees. So having to ride out this contract and using the new company to process my credit card transactions will save me more money than if I use them until the end of my contract. Lesson learned.
PROSThe payments for the patients were listed and you can access it anytime to verify payments.

Waystar
Overall, you are able to generate and send all billing with ease. I've ran revenue cycle departments using this product and find it meets all the needs to be efficient and accurate. I've used Ability and Waystar is much easier to navigate.
PROSWaystar is an easy to use software to manage your revenue cycle. It is simple to teach those that have had no experience using it. The RA's are easy to post in your system. It is easy to navigate.
CONSThey only keep information up to 2 years, so when you are audited or are researching old balances, you can't find the EOB's. There needs to be a feature that you can send claims to Waystar and make changes to the claim without it electronically going to a payor. (IV home health claims). Customer service is lacking people who have actually used the product. So, when you call they don't understand the issue. They are slow.... in responding to tickets/issues.

Ease of use
I love the education they offer that includes CEU credits and every time we have had an issue it gets resolved in a timely manner.
PROSWaystar is easy to use and keeps a bulk of our records in one place and searching for them is quick and easy. They get our invoices out in a timely manner and the address issues tool is super helpful for us.
CONSIt would be helpful to be able to print one patients EOB when you have one pulled up with multiple patients on it.

Revenue Cycle Management
The overall experience with Waystar has been very positive.
PROSThis is a very important product/feature to keep control of payments coming in and also claims being rejected. This is a feature that I use daily!
CONSI think it's very hard to sign up new Payers in the the account tab. Waystar use to sign up the payers for us and now I have to print forms, get them to Waystar etc etc.

The benefit for using the software is that it is very informative and very easy to read and use.
PROSThe software is easy to maneuver through. I can easily find results for claims that have been submitted. Such as received date and time.
CONSI have no dislike about the software. When there are issues with the software we are immediately notified. When payors cancel service with the software we are immediately notified.

Poor customer support
We switched our EMR system and when asked to port our account no one seems to have any quick resolution. We are going on the second month unable to bill and access our account. Customer service will promise to call and don't. And when you answer their questions of preference to your account nothing is done until you call again. And no one can help you except for the first person that started the case. And it's a complete run around of no one being able to communicate. They instruct you to do something and then another person says you can't do it. Then tells you they need sales to call you back to get it set up and no one calls. Just a simple answer of how much and what is needed to port your account will be like building a house from scratch! Maybe they've gotten too big that they've hired techs and customer service that are not trained in their own product.

Waystar's Claims Resolution Option Saves a Biller's Headache
Other than the integration capabilities with our pm software, Waystar has a unique capability that allows users to resubmit rejected claims via the software. This saves a huge amount of time and minimizes errors by resolving claims issues directly via Waystar.
CONSI have no complaints. I recommend Waystar to all clinical practices.

Third Company I've Brought Esolutions with Me!
My experience has overall been amazing. This is the third company I have "brought" eSolutions with me. My representative is beyond amazing and goes to the ends of the earth to make sure that the customer is satisfied. For sure that has kept me coming back every time I have moved to another corporate billing office. (Hopefully, I am here for a long time now.) The software is manageable and able to learn rather quickly. Again, customer support and technical support are always available. I also feel like the eSolutions people work as a team - particularly between technical support and customer service.
PROSBroad scope of services, ease of use, fantastic customer support, fantastic technical support. Especially love the "live chat" option. The abilty to quickly and accurately correct claims that have been returned to provider (making corrections through Medicare Ace.). Love the Roster Billing. Love the ease to "create a claim" when needed. Also that there are prompts and scrubs when checking and fixing a returned claim. The ability to track ADRs is fantastic.
CONSWhen there is an internet/technical problem with eSoutions or one of the intermediaries, eSolutions does not place a warning at the opening screen which would be extremely helpful. (Zirmed does doe this.) Because then time is spent trying to ascertain whether this is a corporate IT problem or a general internet/provider problem.

Day to day insurance validity checks and billing that has a set price per bill instead per page. National address database check before sending bills to the wrong clinic
PROSAble to run my clinic day to day knowing that patients have valid insurance and possible deductible amount. Allows us to give best patient care without unknowing giving the patient a big bill that will be from care rendered and deductible amount. Zirmed increases my clinic's ability to inform patient of deductible amounts prior so that patient understands amount they may be billed and the reason for the bill. From this, it gives patients the autonomy in their care. Zirmed also has a billing service that allows for import from billing software with set prices per bill (not page) and it checks a national database with address to make sure the bill is going to the correct patient.
CONSThe may con I have had with this is that our clinic representative left the company and we were not informed and the phone number wasn't reassigned or disconnected, which left me waiting for a return call that never came. After calling customer service, I was then reassigned

Great resource
Overall Waystar has been invaluable to our company. It's a one stop shop for us for claims and payments.
PROSThis product is contracted with most insurance companies to submit Professional or Institutional claims all in one place. And, it also provides electronic remittances. Product is very easy to use and customer service is always there to help. We only use the product for claims submissions, remittances and patient billing. We don't use it for eligibility checks.
CONSI don't like that we sometimes have to wait months for customer service to come up with a resolution for any claims issues we have. And, sometimes it takes weeks for a customer service representative to work on our cases. We also wished to would give us more details on patient eligibility, but they don't and so we don't use it for that.

Waystar for Electronic Claims Submission and Guarantor/Pt. Statements
Overall its a solid product that helps us cut down on the time from bill submission to getting paid by the 3rd party payer because of cleaner claims.
PROSEase of use. Ease to deploy across 250+ behavioral health facilities in multiple U.S. States.
CONSRetrieval of E.O.B.'s - Explanation of Benefits. The view could be enhanced to make them easier to decipher/read.

From the demos we saw, Waystar was the consensus winner. Ease of ease appeared to swing it our way as a team decision.
Reasons for switching to Waystar
Change Healthcare was "moth-balling" the product we were using to submit electronic claims. We would of had to switch applications anyway even if we remained a Change Healthcare client.

Software Review
We have used other platforms in the past; we made the switch to eSolutions and since then we have not entertained the possibility of any other platform. We appreciate our account and customer service representatives for providing the support we need, when we need it!
PROSThe interface is functional and easy to use; real-time responses and updates readily available within several of the modules within the Enterprise Package.
CONSA fluid flow of information from one module to another seems to be lacking; for example ClaimRemedi/Polaris doesn't integrate with File Transfer Service. These two modules should be merged. Claims should be submitted from one module for any payer and remittances should be accessible in one module as well.
