Tracking project progress and time is the only thing this is good for. Heaven forbid you forget something and you have to start all over.

If you are a small company, the assigning of resources can be frustrating, as we are an all hands on deck organization, so resources are often double booked, which can create confusion in OpenAir.

The software is fairly streamlined to be able to move quickly and process recurring tasks in such a way that non-accounting staff can be comfortable in the UI too.

The drop downs didn't toggle well and data would have to be refreshed all together to get the correct information in the drop down in case you wanted to see a different client.

NetSuite OpenAir is an excellent solution that combines a comprehensive approach with convenience.

Lack of integration to the project financials. We struggled with integrating the contract data into the project so we could track profitability real time.

Just a terribly put together application, I think it has potential but someone fell short of development.

The way to edit timesheets and projects, is a little bit confusing for someone who dealing with it for the first time.

The very worst thing about it is the astronomically high price. For between 15 - 20 users we were paying over $20K/year.

We had need to solve our revenue recognition and financial reporting and with NetSuite we did streamline the process and automated month-end closing process.

I like that it has the capability to integrate with things like Salesforce and Jira, making it easier for users to complete multiple tasks in one spot.

NetSuite OpenAir is great project management software especially for expense management and project time configurations.

This software is cumbersome and rigid, and there are so many simple functions that it can't do that it's hard to understand why wasted their time making everything else so complex.

And sometimes just guessing at fixes drained significant time that could have been spent in more productive ways.

The customer service is AWFUL - long waits to talk to people who are reading from a script. Their online help forum, SuiteAnswers, is equally bad.

Rather negative - the company I worked for, a Marketing agency, really should not have selected OpenAir.

OpenAir is user friendly and integrates with multiple in house systems.

It’s a great tool to manage projects, resources, submit timesheets and invoice clients.

It has a great repoting feature that provides great insights about the project progress.

Setting up the same timesheet over and over again is a bit of a chore. There is no memory of what you did the last time you used it.

Overall, we have been pleased with the performance and functionality, as well as the support response when needed has been great.

Also easy to evaluate Vacation OFF timing of resource and it will help on OPEX cost estimations and tracking.overall user interface is good and easy to generate reports.easy to integrate with JIRA.

We are still getting to grips with it all and find that the customer services are very helpful. We are looking forward to the new version being rolled out in the new year.

Having scheduling, job management, forecasting, costing all in one module is a rarity. The system integrates very well and gives fluidity through the job process.

The fact Synergist is database driven; means you can cut the data in so many different ways.

Integration with the Xero accounting software is also great and saves time.

For us, the quoting side of the system is fantastic. It's super configurable and allows granular customisation across products, services and mark-ups.

It is simple to use and the training videos/information have been a great asset. We mainly utilise the functionality for quickly pricing new jobs and phases, invoicing and allocating work loads.

As a package (software + support), it's the best product in the market - and we tested 6 of the leading solutions in great depth.

Time tracking is also very good. Support has been fantastic - very quick to respond to any questions and they always take the time to make sure you understand.

The product is great for managing multiple clients and projects.

Some of the error messaging isn't always clear on how the problem can be resolved.

The features provide everything we need to run our business and move away from Excel. It's intuitive and very easy to learn and requires very little maintenance overhead.

Its complex but this complexity makes it versatile. It has taken us many man hours to implement but we confident that this investment should pay off in the future.

I really like the system, having used other agency systems and had other systems demonstrated. Great system with a great support helpdesk.

Its vastness is also a challenge - there is so much it can do that we typically feel behind the curve on its use. This isn't too much of Synergist's fault though.

This is not a plug and play system, implementation is expensive in terms of time. However if implemented correctly you will get this investment back in a short time - which we did.

We've also found the support to be the best we have ever experienced. Whenever we have a question or query it's resolved so quickly and the team are super helful.

Its ease of use for non-financial agency staff, client services and PMs made for much happier teams compared to previously used PM software.
