NetSuite OpenAir Software


 

NetSuite OpenAir offers buyers a collection of applications designed to support every stage of the professional services delivery lifecycle. Offered as Software-as-a-Service, the platform includes applications to manage projects, resources, expenses, and timesheets. There are additional applications for billing and invoicing and project accounting, as well as analytics; the system is also optimized for mobile usage. NetSuite OpenAir Connect allows users to sync the web-based platform with a company's existing front- and back-office systems.

NetSuite OpenAir was developed to support the needs of professional services firms in any vertical, but is best suited to larger organizations with more than 500 employees. Companies with under 500 employees should look to NetSuite SRP (Services Resource Planning), which offers similar functionality that has been tailored to smaller buyers.

NetSuite's collection of PSA solutions are currently utilized by more than 1,500 professional service companies worldwide, both small and large.

My PM's choose to use this tool only for Resource & Time Management. I'm having a hard time getting them to use this as a Project Management Tool.

Pros

Resource Management through Bookings - I can easily see what my Resource's utilization & Bench time is.

Cons

Projects and Bookings could be connected better. Reporting could benefit with more complex reporting. Resource Management Planner view could use a zoom in feature. Project Task Management could be more complex.

Robust features that we could leverage across our services business. Provided scheduling tools that allowed for visibility into areas of high and low utilization for scheduling.

Cons

Lack of integration to the project financials. We struggled with integrating the contract data into the project so we could track profitability real time.

Pros

it helps track all client billable hours and notes and can pull in data from SFDC. I can break out hours per day and comment per each

not as customizable as I would like. I wish we could turn some of the "features" off. Forcing comments makes my time entry quite tedious

Very easy to use, self explanatory, and syncs with Netsuite. We'll be able to use company wide and track the status and cost of our projects.

Cons

High cost, but worth it. We weren't looking to spend so much on project management software, but OpenAir is one of the best platforms out there.
