HiMama is a cloud-based child care management solution that helps child care centers and professionals to manage their business routines such as administrative reporting, program planning, interactions with parents and more.

Key features include staff attendance management, lesson scheduling and customizable report generation that can be executed at regular intervals. HiMama also offers an activity and meal tracker, calendar management application and real-time photo and video uploading capabilities. It offers SMS notifications for parents, online registration, document management, live training for staff members and the ability to import data from external sources.

HiMama manages and stores communications between administrators and parents via industry standard SSL encryption technology. Additionally, the solution offers parents-centric features such as a digital scrapbook, milestone tracker and preschool updates. Mobile applications for iOS and Android are also offered that enable remote access of the solution.

Support is offered via phone, email and online FAQs.

Nice app to keep track of your child's day

Pros

I like that we get the daily updates, it shows usually a picture of the child doing the activity, and then what they did that day, and what they ate and how long they napped for, etc.

Cons

I know times are busy for the daycare staff, so not always can they put an update on the app. but I guess the con is, if i make a comment on in the app, i don't get notified if the comment was sent to my child... it would be nice to maybe know that the comment i made about a picture or something was relayed to the child.

Love HiMama

Pros

The ability to have communication with parents. For the parents that we aren't able to see on a daily basis it helps build trusting relationships. Parents love getting information throughout the day, it makes them feel more a part of their child's day.

Cons

Hard to say, but some days it is more difficult to even have time to use and then the parents are disappointed in not getting a picture or information. This is no fault of the app., it is just the nature of childcare.

Great way to manage childcare!

HiMama has many tools available for managing you childcare business. It allows to manage the billing and payroll side as well as the attendance and contact information.

Cons

I like the flexibility for communication with parents but I have trouble getting parents to download another platform when they are already using so many other ones.

Pretty cool app!

Pros

There is nothing like the guilt of having to go back to work and leave your child with someone else all day. You wonder and worry about what they are doing. Not anymore with this awesome app. It is so cool to get quick updates from my children's care providers throughout the day with minimal effort.

Cons

I am so impressed with it. I don't have anything to compare it to as it was not something that was out for my other children.

Has a lot of great features

We sat through a tutorial of the HiMama app when looking for a communication app for our childcare center. It has a lot of great features and is visually appealing. We ultimately chose a different app that seemed more user friendly.

Pros

The overall look of the app is appealing and fits with what you would expect for a childcare app.

Awesome Communication Tool

I have been using HiMama as a parent for over a year through my childcare provider. It is an amazing tool to track the daily activities of my child, including her meals and snacks, bathroom routines and naps, and her ongoing learning and activities. The use of pictures and videos with the descriptions is really awesome. The layout of information, whether through the app or website, is also easy to follow. I am a huge fan!

Pros

I love the ease-of-access through the website and the app. HiMama allows me to remain in contact with my childcare provider and easily see/view activities throughout the day.

Cons

Sometimes the app randomly signs me out, which can be a bit annoying, so I have to wait for the end-of-day report to arrive.

User friendly..

I'm very appreciative of the support staffs diligent follow-up and patients with getting me on the phone with some quiet time away from the kids until some of my issues were resolved. Team! all mean Thank you

As I continue to use it and learn from it what is most beneficial for my program , I'm enjoying it more everyday.

Cons

At first I didn't like that it was taking me away from individual time with the children. But the support staff explained how to use the voice talk and text option from my phone and it has simplified my day.

Brilliant App to keep track of your kiddos!

Pros

While you are at work, you want to know that your kids are being taken great care of. This software allows teachers to spend less time documenting on paper and allows them to snap a quick photo, add a caption and get back to the kids. Meanwhile, I can login to the account to see how my babies are doing. It keeps me connected to my purpose and passion. I notice I can get back to work and give more when I don't have to worry about their daily activities.

Cons

The software is only as good as the teacher using it. If the staff member working with your child isn't aware of the software or hasn't been trained, they might not utilize all of the features available. I wish there was an easier way to communicate with my child's teacher through the program.

Preschool & Child care easy and smooth.

Pros

First, I would like to mention its neat UX design. Congratulations for that!

Now, families can be in touch with what their kids are doing, eating, and playing which is amazing. The customization of the app to keep track of every kid and their activities is very useful. Teacher and parents connected smoothly and efficiently is its most valuable feature.

And with mobile apps for Android and iOS there is no excuse. Everything is handy and accurate. Development Assessments and messaging between parents and teachers, planning, reports, everything together to make it easier for everyone involved.

Cons

This is a great tool so far. Of course it could be improved, but so far so good.

Himama there; less to worry

It gives a feeling that I'm always connected with the school and my child. Don't want to be in person always to have a chat with the teacher. This helps a lot to save my time. Also very handy and convenient to use.

Pros

Getting daily notification and report throughout the day make me worry less about my kid and the pictures uploaded give an immense amount of giggles. Also easy to communicate with teachers and the customer service is also impressive.

Was not able to use this app and was denied a reimbursement!!

The initial salespeople are extremely pleasant and will tell you anything you want to hear just to sell you this app. Once you pay for it, you truly find out how limited the app is and the fact that it is not fully functional for a Florida school. You are then left to the mercy of not so pleasant people who could care less about your experience or your review. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SALES PITCH! I am out hundreds of dollars and I did not use the app for a single day of my daycare being open.

Pros

I liked the idea of the parent communication feature. Yet was not able to use the feature, as I discovered after being given access to the app that it did not have the necessary features needed in a Florida daycare setting to comply with all necessary documentation needs. I therefore cancelled before my actual subscription began and was denied the refund of the months I had prepaid for.

Cons

This app does not have the administrative functions needed to document all areas needed to keep up with Florida Certifications. I asked if they had everything we needed multiple times before purchase and only realized once given access (after I paid for a subscription), that it did not have the tools for that documentation. When I called (during my FREE month of subscription, before my paid for subscription even began) they denied me any refund, even though they admitted that 4 other daycares had cancelled their subscriptions for this same reason. I was led to believe this would have everything we needed and when it was clear it did not, they would not reimburse my payment, even though we were still in the trial month.
