Vagaro is a cloud-based salon, spa and fitness business management solution that allows professionals to book appointments and manage various facility roles. It offers an integrated solution to manage bookkeeping, payroll, client databases and inventory management, as well as featuring email and text notifications to clients and automated email marketing.

Users can list available appointment slots, and customers can then look for salon facilities nearby and book appointments through Vagaro’s website or the Vagaro app. VagaroPro, the business app, is available for Android and iOS smartphones.

Users can create customizable promotional web pages to showcase upcoming events and special offers through Vagaro’s website or connect with their customers through email and social media platforms. Customers can also create personalized profiles with their contact information, booking history and feedback. Users can keep records of their customer service histories and generate customizable reports with graphs and charts to track business performance, customer retention and more.

    This software has everything my office needs all in ONE program! I recently discontinued my separate waiver software, booking, inventory tracking and text reminders and switched to Vagaro because it has everything I need to run my business. It even makes payroll a breeze!

    I'm actually shocked that this isn't the go to software for basically any business that wants to advance with technology!

    Pros

    It is very easy to use, I personally found it easy to pick up in just a couple days! The layout of it is clean and appealing to the eye, and I love the versatility of the software. Very detailed. I love that when I am away from work or on vacation, I can see what my next day or week looks like. I also love that if I need to change or add anything I can do it whenever I want.

    Cons

    What I like least about this product, is definitely the fact that it seems to glitch and log you out on the desktop format, but as I said it is still the best software I have personally used at a business.

    I am generally happy with the software

    Pros

    Easy to communicate with clients about future appointments. I don't have to send out text or calls to remind my clients. I like that I can store all their formulas and past appointment history.

    Cons

    I wish I could balance my cash drawer at the end of each shift. so I know how much to take out for deposits. I also would like to keep track of my rebooking numbers, even if I don't re-book directly from the check out screen.

    Overall very good to excellent. I checked out many many competitors before choosing and after 9 months I am happy with my selection. Very good easy to access support if needed.

    Pros

    The online scheduling and the integrated credit card processing works great and our staff and clients are liking it. The Apps are a plus too so the staff always has access to their schedule and the client app is a hit. I hesitated switching from my previous software as setup always takes a lot of time for a dozen technicians (no matter what any provider tells you), and I was unsure that I could trust clients to book online without problems. I made the move and was pleasantly surprised how well the online booking worked and the response we received. However, I am glad I waited as these systems are now ready for prime time. The monthly price is reasonable and no up front costs. No worries about backing up at the salon anymore. I 'owned' my previous software so I was not sure I wanted to go online/cloud/subscription but it is a good value. Nice closing out clients on ipads at the desk or anywhere in the salon.

    Cons

    The daily drawer cash count is primitive. It does not know if you added money to the drawer, took tips out or did paid outs. It does not keep a record of counts during the day. I had to make a spreadsheet to handle these duties.

    I haven't had any issues with the app. So at the moment I do not have any cons. I would say just review that your device is compatible.

    Easy setup, easy to use, great customer support, excellent value. Great navigating ability. Easy to share calendar with google.

    Cons

    No google interface, expensive credit card processing. I would like the ability to assign specific colors to tasks.

    I did not like how i had to set up an account before scheduling an appointment. It was time consuming and a little frustrating.

    Pros

    sms text and emails , the website is very easy to use its very organized they definitely put alot of thought into it . It has every nook and crany you can possibly think of they've done it trust me ive looked long and hard to find this one !

    Cons

    doesnt have a shopping cart when you cashout clients if they had this i would rate is 5 stars for everything but this would be a huge benefit to us and probably most other retail stores.

    I like all the options to personalize the booking page and how the services come up, I love the options that come with the forms and the logging the customers information. the Integrations with Facebook is really awesome

    The changing all the pre-set times was kinda aggravating but worth it, Also some of the better features were at a extra price but still added up to be cheaper than the other salon app i was using

    Lets you secure appointments with credit card information. My clients have commented how easier this program is to use than the old program I started with.

    I love the ease of working with this program, and my clients are able to easily access it and book online. I love the app on our phones that each of our stylist can easily access and mange their own calendars.

    Cons

    I wish my personal calendar would link up to this calendar so I wouldn't have to toggle between two. However I do love that Vagaro does syn with my google calendar. It does make things a tad bit easier.

    This has been such a blessing to me as a first time business owner, it has made my life on the job so much easier! I am happy using the software and so are my clients:)

    Pros

    I like everything about the Vagaro software I am using for my salon suite business. I have been so happy with how user friendly this software is. I am able to quickly make and change my clients appointments, and store their hair formulas as well. My clients love getting their appointment reminders that the software automatically puts out. I can check out my clients with ease and can even put all my inventory in if I need to. Another great thing is that they provide free online training support any time you need it and online software classes are offered for free as well! There is so much that you can do with this software I strongly suggest it to any independent stylist such as myself (or any stylist for that matter) who wants to keep their business organized and their clients happy!

    Cons

    Vagaro has so many things to offer that it seems overwhelming to me, probably because I am a first time business owner. Once I take time to view the online training that they offer, I'm sure I will understand it better.
