Better Than Any Other Work Order Software or Mobile App
We are a full scale IT department and we have been able to respond more quickly to our end users needs. It has allowed us to be more focused on customer service and time management. MaintainX has also allowed us the ability to be able to enter work orders on the fly so we do not forget to take care of something. I have not worked with any other software or app that has given us this type of functionality with so much ease and value for the price.
PROSThe ease of functionality in creating work orders for myself, staff and end users. The ability to easily create repeating work orders for backup and preventative maintenance items. The reporting dashboard is really nice and allows me to see a well rounded view of where we stand. I think I most enjoy how fast the app notifies me of a new request and status updates.
CONSI would like to see the ability to have work orders created based on known email addresses as well.
Reason for choosing MaintainX
MaintainX was what satisfied our needs without flashy extra options that we would never use. We just needed a simple, powerful work order system and I feel that MaintainX provides all of that for us.
Reasons for switching to MaintainX
We made the switch because the software was difficult to setup, the mobile app was not efficient, end user confusion and there was not enough value in the price being charged.

With MaintainX, all of our data is in one convenient place
MaintainX has provided us with a centralized hub for data, and it will compile historical data to help us train new employees on how to perform CU on aging machinery. It provides order to an otherwise chaotic section, and the data gleaned from reports allows us to perform preventative rather than emergency repairs on any number of devices. Since everything is in one location, it's easier to conduct audits, and it reveals the true cost of previously hidden areas.
PROSMaintainX's user-friendliness is fantastic, and the process of going live with the software was a breeze. The reports in MaintainX are highly recommended because they highlight distinct trends that can be used to grow your business. When everything is in one convenient location, team productivity is increased.
CONSNot yet, as there is still a great deal of data to input and history to gather. The transition period for Plus staff is ongoing. It's effective both in-house and remotely, and it provides the team manager with more data.

A barcode system makes it simple to organize and categorize all components. With MaintainX, you can keep tabs on your stock, associate it with the assets and tools it serves, and even set up automatic reorders from specific suppliers.

As far as everyone not being able to view all tickets, that is a setting that your Manager has put in place on the permissions side to restrict the visibility of sensitive information to certain folks on your team. Very Helpful Product.
Until MaintainX was introduced to our company, maintenance was carried out by talking to the maintenance engineers about what had to be done each day. This was time consuming and little to no records were kept about each asset and its maintenance schedule. MaintainX has enabled us to keep a work order history for each asset/location and provides use with time and cost tracking which we would not have had before.

CONSNot many cons with the system. Sometimes it can be frustrating to not be able to search under a specific category, but once you get used to using the filters it becomes easier to find everything you need.

Versatility and dependable
We needed a system that works well not just for the uper management, but for the tech's. They are the frontline workers and we wanted a system they would enjoy using. Something user friendly and easy to use. We found it with MaintainX
PROSWe like that this is a mobile first system, everything a tech needs to have access to is there at his/her finger tip.
CONSthere are limitations to what is able to be used in "Offline: mode

Brilliant
Brilliant. could not really ask for much more.
PROSI like how easy it is to use the app, i haven't been using it for very long but its already a day to day part of my working life now and does not feel like a struggle to do so.
CONSat first its quite alot to get used to but once you get used to it its a great product.

Great CMMS - Easy to use
Its a powerful tool to keep up will all the request we receive, to make sure nothing is forgotten.We've started including procedure for common task, which allows new hire to perform task with less supervision, and more effectively.
PROSWe chose MaintainX over other CMMS because it was simple and easy to use for some of our techs who are not that computer-savvy.Been using it for a lil over a year and its great, work order dont slip in the cracks anymore, the procedure library is a powerful tool and the android app is really nice.
CONSSome of the feature are sometimes too simple, missing some options, but then we chose it for its simplicity so cant complain.

Easy for anybody to use
Overall I have no complaints. MaintainX does everything I was looking for in a CMM.
PROSI like how easy it is to add work order, parts and assets.
CONSI love that requesters are free it gives people an option to request work when needed. The only thing I wish was included was mabye allow procedures to be done by requesters. Not give them access to change anything but for example. If you had 12 forklift operators then they would be forklift requesters and have one form on their app the would be a daily forklift checklist. Only thing they can do is request work on their forklift and fill out the daily checklist that would come to me.

They did an upgrade to their system and I wasn't able to access their website for over a month. I started looking at other options and came across your website and loved the way everything looks.

Best bang for your buck
This system is very intuitive to start. I had used SAP for maintenance managements at a previous role. This blows it away as being able to pick it up and run with it. A+++
CONSI have not found anything that would deter me from the system. Minor inconveniences are being worked on by their development team, and they seem to be constantly working to make the system better.

MaintainX is worthy of your consideration.
This software has shown me where we needed better tracking with parts supplies and ordering as well as managing work order flow
PROSUser friendly, phone and Tablet compatible, frequent videos, support and the list goes on.
CONSIn over 2 years of being on MaintainX daily, I cannot think of 1 aspect that I dislike about this software.

well worth the investment.
so far I have had a great experience with maintainX.
PROSIt was very easy to move all my equipment and assets over. they offer amazing flexibility in the ways that you can set up your work orders.
CONSI wish there was a scan feature that would allow you when adding parts into you inventory you could scan the invoice with your phone, and it would fill int the blanks for you.

A CMMS that fits in you pocket.
Working with the rep and the guys at MaintainX had been great! They have designed a system that does not need a 500 page manual and are readily available if you have a question or an suggestion. I've seen main of my suggestions implemented in the matter of a few days. They are doing a fantastic job developing this application.
PROSMaintainX is very easy to set up and use. Other systems are impossible to setup without outside help but not MaintainX. It is scalable and they are adding new features on a weekly basis. Everyone has real-time updates on work orders so you al ways know the status.
CONSLack of inventory capability but I'm assured it is coming.

Being mobile first was a big factor. Not needing to spend thousands of dollars for help setting up the software. You can do it yourself and MaintainX will help for free. Knowing instantly what is happening, communicating directly with the tech, attaching manuals, photos, videos to work orders it makes you more effective.
Reasons for switching to MaintainX
It was just too laborious and complicated to manage. Being paper based I would have to review hundreds of pages weekly. Sometimes it would be weeks before I could review a PM and find a problem I should have known about.

Grows with your needs!
We have enjoyed partnering with MaintainX and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been a great asset in getting us what we need to be successful with the product! He helped create some of our procedure pages and that was HUGE!
PROSWe started using MaintainX about 6 months ago and what we like most is that they are always improving their product. They take what the customer needs and works to implement the closest version of what is needed.
CONSThe reports are not very easy to filter and are not able to be fully customized, yet. However, they are better than other systems we have seen and MaintainX is consistently improving the capabilities. The other piece I wish was improved is the layout of the exported work order. It is not very pretty and cannot, at this time, be customized to remove the information I don't need.

We chose MaintainX specifically because it was a new and growing product. We felt the products bones were good and seeing where the product was moving was exactly where we needed to be. The cost is on point with the product and is manageable for a newer company, like ours.

I am very happy with MaintainX. The customer suport is very helpful. We are able to add an endless amount of information to our database very easily.
PROSThe user-friendly interface is very easy to navigate. We are able to use this technology with various age groups of technicians and everyone was able to catch on quickly.
CONSOur major issue on the software is not having the ability to auto generate new procedures from within a procedure. For instance, if I have a procedure that says "Is a hot work permit required?", If the answer is "Yes", it would be nice for the software to automatically add that "Hot work procedure" to the work order instead of an admin having to add it. It would also be nice if technicians could add procedures on their own from their tablets.

Don't hesitate
Game changer from the paper system we had previously, you can add or omit as much information as you like and slowly build in assets, parts etc as you go along.
PROSThe best things about MaintainX is it's paperless and live, there are no delays from putting on a job to it hitting the maintenance team, no printing out slips and handing them to the engineering team or pinning them on boards, it pings on their mobile in their pocket.
CONSThe only little bump in the road was, each job needs to be approved by myself, so if I don't get to the request the job isn't generated, however we've overcome this by adding a lead engineer to be able to do this too. *I was trying hard to find an issue I've had over the time we've had MaintainX*
