#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Bynder has a great UI/UX interface and is easy to use. Not only that, it allows for efficiencies within our business to find and share files amongst our global locations - something that was difficult and time consuming before. The onboarding process and setup was super simple and we had all the support we needed. It's flexible enough to customise, whilst still maintaining the great features Bynder offers.

#### Cons

I think some features and integrations were cost prohibitive, but that's a product of the SaaS market we find ourselves in - the DAM itself is great value for money.

#### Reasons for choosing Bynder

Wrike integration was the key driver, since we already had a Wrike Enterprise account this came at no cost.

#### Ratings breakdown

What initially attracted me to WebDam was the low cost and functionality.

The one thing that I like least about WebDam is that folders cannot be dragged and dropped into the upload window and that they don't appear in searches.

Overall, I really like the way it's setup, and the flexibility you have to customize the product for your brand. We've done away with network folders, we've made more people self sufficient. We now know what assets we have. Duplications are pretty non existent. Got rid of allot of manual work on websites; cropping images, replacing documents etc.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I like the lack of folder structure, this combined with a good taxonomy, you'll find what you need in seconds.

#### Cons

Integrations and flexibility with CMS, but it's getting better. The stability and lack of customization of the Analytics. The rest are just some small issues.

#### Reasons for choosing Bynder

Native company, which makes communications easy. Was a startup at the time. The way they setup the portal was different from many other DAM systems, that still relied on folder structures.

#### Reasons for switching to Bynder

We didn't have a native service provider anymore, product was cumbersome, and not intuitive. It didn't fit the needs anymore

#### Ratings breakdown

- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Bynder is the most user-friendly and easy to use project management platform with its relative extensive features such as video brand studio, workflow manager and digital asset management infrastructure.

#### Cons

Although in overall Bynder is the most user-friendly and easy to use project management platform, it is hard to say that reports tool is that much user-friendly and sufficient to reflect all required statistical data.

#### Reasons for choosing Bynder

Bynder's workflow manager was more suitable for tracking the animation development process.

#### Reasons for switching to Bynder

Wrokflow module of Bynder was more suitable for creative content creation process.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Easy and intuitive to use. Presets upload Meta information Fast Good integration

#### Cons

The system for sharing assets with the external public should work out-of-box. There should be a security system to avoid using the upload preset incorrectly. Integration API

#### Reasons for switching to Bynder

We prefer to separate product information from images, after all, a company's DAM has much more than just photos of products, we have different media and no links with the products. And because of the issue of information management and security.

Fantastic experience so far. Our products sell themselves on their imagery. Maintaining a consistent and coherent folder structure and naming convention in traditional platforms like Box and Sharepoint has been a headache for years. Bynder removes a lot of these issues and it is quickly adopted by teams and individuals. The platform has some nice features like the external upload which again has solved a long-standing issue we have had with collecting images from suppliers and being able to ensure the meta properties have been added, has really improved the governance of our digital assets. The onboarding experience has been second to none.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

They are innovative and have some very helpful integrations. There is a good level of customisation that can be done without external support and it is really easy to use. As soon as you demo the product to someone in your organisation, they instantly get it and see the benefits of using the platform. The onboarding experience has been the best I have ever experienced with a software product. The team are very knowledgeable and guides you in small, manageable steps.

#### Cons

The different tiers of user roles are part of the contract and the number of high-level roles (e.g. Admins) are quite low as standard.

#### Reasons for choosing Bynder

We had a much better sales experience with Bynder and some of the integrations they had worked really well with our existing tech stack.

The ability to categorize assets and add our own filters and taxonomy has made our digital asset management a breeze compared to our previous file structure.

#### Cons

Its quite early to say, however having all our logos in one place has been instantly useful. It saves designers time and effort. Uploading photos takes time, but is worth doing well.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5

#### Pros

Bynder is an easy to use DAM. It does all that is required very well. It becomes second nature in a very short amount of time. The team atBynder are very good and we have had a great onboarding experience.

#### Cons

Although Bydner does everything well, some features found in other DAMS are absent. For example, Bynder does not search within images for text (for tagging) and Bynder studio does not support indesign files. How important these small features are to you will be a matter of personal preference.

#### Reasons for choosing Bynder

European customer support was a key consideration. We also had good reports surrounding content stack integration.

For managing digital assets and optimising our creative workflows, Bynder has emerged as our creative hub. Version control is guaranteed and the disarray of multiple files is removed thanks to the platform's centralization of our digital assets.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Effective organisation, classification, and retrieval of digital assets are made simple by the user-friendly DAM system from Bynder. I like how by providing a centralised location for brand assets, Bynder enforces brand consistency.

#### Cons

Particularly in large digital asset libraries, improvements to the search functionality could further optimise asset retrieval.

Overall the experience has been positive. Bynder works as we expected and we have no issues with it so far.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Easy to upload new assets and categorize them. Easy to find and download them and to create variations from the original assets, as well as download in different formats.

#### Cons

The template features are quite limited. Granted this is a DAM tool not a creative tool, so it's understandable the template feature wouldn't be their core strenght. But when compared to other tools that can also do to that, Bynder lags behind.

This is a DAM excellent product and is supported by a fantastic, responsive DAM staff. I highly recommend working with the folks at WebDAM for anyone interested in sustainably managing, or wanting to improve access to, their collection of digital materials! P.S. a small note about (webdam)/admin/keywords.php: "A keyword list enforces consistently throughout your asset library. By using a keyword list, your administrators will be presented with the list to choice from when adding keywords from the Edit Captions page. If you had previously uploaded a keyword list, you will have the option to append your new keywords or replace the previous list.(Seperate keywords and phrases by comma and/or a newline)" *consistently = consistency *choice = choose *Seperate = Separate *newline = new line

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5

#### Pros

WebDAM is an excellent product with a lot of potential. It is powerful, robust and configurable for most any set of circumstances in which it is used. Your support and customer service staff are absolutely wonderful! The webinars I've attended have been excellent and pertinent. Managing user access to specific folders/assets based on group membership is a fantastic custom option. This system has everything we were looking for in a Digital Asset Management system.

#### Cons

Parts of the interface are cumbersome. Sometimes it's too many clicks from here to there, sometimes it's just not easy to find the function: in training I've conducted thus far, I have had 3 people ask "How do I move files around? Can I drag and drop?" Managing users (folders maybe?), editing metadata on assets, viewing folder and asset data could all stand some improvement, but the functionality remains. We've been experiencing some odd locking up issues as well. This seems to be related to the auto-logout function (it would be nice if the local administrator could set that auto-logout length of time). When it locks up, only restarting the browser returns functionality. **Have experienced this in Safari & Firefox on Mac OS

Overall, working as a contributor to a large Bynder database has been a mixed bag. Some of the upload processes and interface choices are a bit frustrating. But in general, it's a stable platform that gets the job done in helping large organizations share assets.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

At its best, Bynder makes it easy to find and share resources within a large team. The interface is generally friendly and easy to navigate.

#### Cons

I wish there were better upload options for assigning photo metadata to fields within Bynder or auto-tagging assets based on metadata. The 'related assets' feature is often confusing and file versions could be displayed in a much more friendly way. Pricing seems a bit high compared to other solutions.

Enhanced collaboration and sharing of digital assets across our global organisation. Ability to keep all our digital assets in one place and organised and tagged to improve searchability and usage. It also allows us to run reports to see how material is being used and who is using it.

#### Pros

Simple to use, intuitive, helpful customer support and Bynder continue to provide enhancements and new functionality to improve our experience. It has been a big benefit to our organisation and enabled us to combine two separate digital asset libraries into one effective global system allowing all our teams across the globe to share and collaborate.

#### Cons

When we reviewed the market we found no one DAM product was an exact match for our needs by Bynder definitely came the closest. We would like more push notification functionality and also stop/start uploads for times where internet connection is patchy in some of the areas where we operate but we know Bynder is continuing to assess and develop new things on their roadmap

### Good product, could be even better

- Overall rating: 3/5
- Reviewer: Thom F.
- Product usage: Used unspecified for unspecified
- Reviewed: December 2011

We are generally happy with the product solution and feel it is better than the other ones we evaluated during the review phase. When customers make feature suggestions you should try to find out what scenario is taking place that makes these ideas so needed. Understanding your customers' workflows can be quite revealing.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5

#### Pros

It's very important for us for our end-users to find the database easy to use, as our potential audience is around 80,000. For the most part, users seem to find WebDAM easy to use. Administering, uploading photos and making simple changes are fairly easy to handle, although there are some situations where we do need help from WebDAM to figure out. The emails and blog are helpful for users to get to know the product better.

#### Cons

- The single biggest feature problem that affects users, is that we aren't able to custom edit the email that goes out to users after they register. We aren't able to tell them their account will be not activated immediately -- and when you're in the business of providing assets, customers are generally in a panicked state of needing them. - We had a lot of trouble setting up permissions for different groups to view or not view folders that required extended tech support with WebDAM. Because the process of doing this is not intuitive, it is hard to share this information with other administrators here. - I would say that none of the feature suggestions we've send along have yet been implemented. So I do wonder what better, more important features other users of your product are sending that catch your eye.

It solved a lot of problems and was a great first step. Eventually we moved to a more sales-enablement focused platform that accomplished digital asset management plus sales enablement all integrated with Salesforce. But the marketing team was very happy with Bynder.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Easy to manage and tag assets; version control of all assets; easy to share assets out with internal stakeholders, clients and prospects using collections.

#### Cons

Until the end, we heard complaints from sales that it was too hard to find things. Too many results would come up and in no particular priority order.

WebDAM has some great new features that they have begun to offer and it appears the product is going in the right direction. Here are some suggests for improvement: The user interface should be more dynamic and have more options for branding. Perhaps offering different branding options and templates, or page layouts. It would be nice to see some integration with WebDAM with other portal environments. I would love to embed the webdam library inside of our SharePoint Intranet environment. This should appear seamless to the end user. Also, providing integration with 3rd party security authorities, directory services like LDAP and AD should be on the road map as well. Also an ability to verify a registered user is human i.e. captcha would alleviate some the burden on us to verify the legitimacy of a user request. While the Admin interface is getting better, there are still bugs with different browsers. Overall WebDAM is on the right track we are intrigued to see where the company goes in the next year.

The only con I think of with the current version of the software (that we purchased) is that it does not have an inbuilt media player to play video files. I have been informed that this is something that can be incorporated into the package.

#### Pros

I really like how this a great source to keep all your images. You can search by any key words and download it in different formats and sizes. Also really love the way you can keep them organized

#### Cons

Its a great tool, I only know so much of how to use it but some of the tags and stuff to fill in when uploading pictures seem a bit convoluted
