I like TT because it is an integrated Database, CRM and CMS - and the system is easy to use with training others a fairly simple process thanks to support from TT.

I don't think there is anything I don't like about the software.

ToucanTech are a very responsive company - they reply quickly and very helpfully to queries and feedback.

As with any software, human error can come into play.

It manages multiple functions which is great for a small office. The customisation is good and I have been impressed by the product enhancements and development since we started using the software.

The integration and launch of the platform to our alumni community worldwide was seamless and we felt very much supported by the ToucanTech team throughout the process.

Report-writing can be tricky and not all fields are able to be selected. Sometimes the Toucan server can be slow to respond.

The weekly support emails are helpful and let you keep on top of new developments. Graphics are good, we have had good feedback about the 'look and feel' of communications from our alumnae community.

The software is easy to use and is constantly being developed and further improved depending on the need.

It is pretty intuitive, but online / telephone support is good when needed. The team are very friendly and helpful, and will 'take over' the PC to talk you through solutions if necessary.

I love the mass email tool - which allows the creation of attractive emails and analysis of recipients' responsiveness to the content. I also love the integration of our website with the database.

I appreciated that It was easy to get started with basic features and that we can add in additional modules as we progress at no extra cost.

Their team is responsive and the software has helped us grow our community considerably. We also appreciate Vanilla Forums' knowledge base and resources for community managers.

There are several pain points that I encounter however on Vanilla Forums. The group feature has not been working well although a many improvements have been made in the past year.

Also, the migration from staging to live is manual and open to user error. Image compression (or the lack of) has been a big issue for us as our sites are very visual and performance has suffered.

We needed a solution with a robust API and Vanilla has done a really great job on that front.

The theming architecture in particular is incredible and allows us to create beautiful forums that integrate with seamlessly with our branding. Second, it's actively developed and open source.

Amongst several other reasons, we chose Vanilla because of their company values, focus on customer success, sustainable growth and commitment to providing ongoing value.

In addition to the most basic features (discussions, comments...) that work perfectly, here are a few things that I love about Vanilla Forums.

Inability to schedule posts to go up out-of-hours.

Easy to deploy, effective tool for communication and sharing, continual updates from provider.

Customization options, theming, responsiveness, clean and intuitive interface, excellent customer service.

That we did not discover it until last year. Seriously, I would be hard-pressed to identify anything about this platform that I disliked.

I have no negative feedback. There were a couple of minor changes that were quickly implemented when requested.

Cost effective with all the features that very high costing solutions have - we trialed 10 different solutions before selecting vanilla as they winner. New features rolled in all the time.

A little HTML and CSS know how really created a unique forum for our users. The built in analytics are a great starting point.

Vanilla is very easy to use and manage, looks good, offer great gamification that make our community fun, great value for money, good training materials, easy solution to support multilingual.

My favorite thing about the Vanilla platform is its simplicity and intuitiveness. It was my top choice after the first demo I did, after seeing the admin view.
