Disappointed

They need better implementation training and a simple intuitive page. Too many updates and changes because it's not designed right yet.

Pros

After looking at several similar products we picked this software because of the selections tool that would integrate with the browser. They also had lots of promises of easy adaptation for jobs.

Cons

They have lots of promises but the time it takes to transfer all the information was crazy. After we didn't want the product 3 months later they would not refund our money for the year we paid for.

I have been with UDA since I believe 2008 and have been using it ever since.

Pros

All in one software for any construction business.

Cons

Does not save your preferences, have to reset them ever time you switch back and forth from each screen. Wish you had a setting page the would save your settings per page.

Great product

I am pleased with the program, it has given us a more professional look and organizes our estimates in a concise format.

Pros

The fact that it stops me from making mistakes. I had several painful experiences using other software and spreadsheets.

Cons

Having to do takeoffs with another software package like Plan Swift. The estimate should be archived even if deleted, mistakes happen.

UDA is useful

I enjoy the suite but I think I could use a lot more of the functionality of it if it was easier to use.

Pros

We use this program mainly for accounting purposes. I enjoy the templates that you are able to build.

Cons

I don't think it is the most user friendly. Also the destop platform is not as current as the construction online platform as far as ease of use.

Company overview of all projects.

Cons

Integrates financials. Portals for subs and clients. Web based for portability. Inexpensive compared to others.

Cons

I found UDA to be very difficult to learn. The user interface is not put together well, and the amount of options offered almost camouflage the ones you need.

SUPER helpful, easy, and FAST

Pros

I like the ease of use, the details and the link to quickbooks. It is extremely important in my day to day work.

This is a great product.

Pros

I like the amount of time it has saved me over the years all while creating good looking estimates and proposals.

Cons

It is a bit pricey for a small company but after the initial purchase sting wears off knowing that I will have it to use for years to come makes it worth it. It also might take a first time user a little while to learn how to use depending on what features they are looking for.

Integration with QB. Ease of use. Easy to change between different options and the program transforms my estimate into a proposal in minutes.

Very easy to understand but a bit limited

I would really recommend this software to anyone and their support is very efficient.

Pros

Its very easy to use especially the scheduling as it can be easily linked with MS Project schedules.Additionally the fact that you can link your estimate with your schedule and resources is a big bonus .

Cons

It doesn't have takeoff and its very difficult to do a take off from drawings straight into estimate as it doesn't support as many function and formulas like excel hence one has to do a takeoff in excel then manually input it again on estimate.Maybe in future they can see if there is a way to merge a drawing into the system and do your estimate straight from the drawing on the system

Pros

Building of the quotes/estimates and change orders works well. The program keeps updated with cost information nicely.

Cons

Transferring estimates to Quickbooks leaves something to be desired. As estimate is updated in UDA, the transferring to Quickbooks is inadequate. In order to get the updated version into Quickbooks, it created and entirely new estimate instead of just updating the curremt estimate.
