### Most mentioned pros

- I like how Hoxhunt sends realistic-looking phishing emails, which helps us learn how to spot real-world security threats.
- Its interactive and engaging training sessions ensure that security awareness is always a top priority for everyone, making the learning process enjoyable and memorable.
- Customer support is helpful, and interface is clean and simple.

### Most mentioned cons

- The software mainly focuses on Email phishing challenges and quizzes, while modern threats like fake calls, messaging scams and deepfake attacks are not covered enough.
- Hoxhunt's add-on inside of Outlook could be a little slow at times to process and delete an email after reporting it.
- There should be also statistics on failed emails with a separation between training emails where user has clicked on something, and where email was missed (as it disappears after some time).

#### Pros

I like that having Hoxhunt for your business always keeps you on your toes. While I am constantly on the lookout for Hoxhunt training e-mails, that transitions to keeping our workplace safe from actually phishing attacks. Also, this transitions to keeping my personal e-mails safe from phishing attacks as I become more aware of what to look for. I also love the gamification as I am super competitive and don't want my streak to end!

#### Cons

At this point (Platinum, 14/17 achievements), I would like to see more of a challenge. More difficult scenarios, more content on the dashboard, an explanation as to how colleagues in my company have more stars than me for the month even though I haven't missed any. I listen to a Podcast called "Darknet Diaries" and he talks about penetration testing a lot. It would be cool to have trainings on what to look for in the office that may be "out of place" or what social engineering tricks bad guys use to get into physical spaces.

#### Pros

The spoof phishing emails are very convincing, and it really does encourage employees to carefully review each mail before clicking anything.

#### Cons

No complaints really. If I had to pick nits, the icon for reporting spoof emails is kind of small in the Gmail suite (a restriction of GSuite more than Hoxhunt)

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

I mainly interact with Hoxhunt's email phishing simulations. I think that it does a good job of this and many of the simulations resemble more sophisticated email phishing attempts. I think that it is a great training tool in that regard.

#### Cons

Initially, the email phishing simulator had no way to configured planned out-of-office time. This led to missed simulations and breaking of streaks and such. This issue has since been fixed though, and that's certainly a positive development.

#### Pros

Reporting phishing and participating in training is straightforward with the interactive and engaging dashboard. I can monitor my progress easily and feel motivated to improve. The built-in features, like reporting emails from my Gmail account, are convenient. If I miss a fake attempt, I receive immediate training, which is quick and simple. Compared to other training and security features I've used, Hoxhunt tracks more accurately and has a significantly better user interface—it's genuinely enjoyable to use.

#### Cons

Sometimes Hoxhunt's training emails are too good, and it can trick me. (But I guess that's the point: Pay attention, and don't click on things without thinking!)

Scenario-based learning with an appropriate amount of education and context make HoxHunt actually useful-- the gamification and badges has also made security training feel remarkably pleasant and relevant.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I like how HoxHunt creates realistic emails that mimic phishing attacks and other kinds of malware in scenarios that actually would happen-- those are great opportunities to test my own understanding of security protocols and to educate myself on what makes an email suspicious.

#### Cons

I am overall very satisfied with the product but I have noticed an instance where a HoxHunt training email appeared to be sent to spam (which defeats the purpose).

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Hoxhunt has given me more awareness about spam and junk emails and how they compromise our information, more than any other similar platform I have used. The feature I found most attractive is the simulated spam emails and how we get points when we identify and report the emails. It feels like I am playing a game but actually I am getting educated at the same time i get a sense of achievement when I unlock more and more levels.

#### Cons

I recently reported an actual spam email. The initial response was the status was unsure. I was told I might not get the result of that reporting but your team will do everything in the background. I was unsatisfied with it. It was the time I actually reported a spam email and I wanted to hear the results after the analysis.

My company mandated that all employees start using Hoxhunt for security awareness. At first I thought it would be another chore and would add time; however, I quickly realized that learning in a gamified way was not only very fun, but also a great way to learn and remain very vigil with my emails. I made some mistakes at first (i.e. clicked on phishing emails from Hoxhunt) but have noticed my skills grow quickly over time. The gamified experience also creates a great social element at work as we'll say "did you get fooled by that Hoxhunt email too?". They also recently added a Spicy mode which increases the intensity of the emails you receive for a greater challenge. I find the experience very fun - I like the competition and social aspect and have learned a lot. And most importantly, it's really been great for our company in avoiding phishing incidents.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love that you receive actual emails in your inbox that look real. There's really no better way to learn about security that through real simulations. Plus, Hoxhunt makes the experience of learning about security fun! It's actually enjoyable to be able to detect when emails are actually Hoxhunt emails and fun to compete with coworkers to climb up the leaderboard

#### Cons

I wish there was a way to more easily review what you've learned on a reoccuring basis as well as more visibility on the employees who collected the most points each quarter. We see the leaderboard but announcing a winner would create more appeal and desire to participate in the game

All in all, I personally learned about a bunch of different types of attacks. The good thing about this is that you not only learn about the attack itself, but also how to prepare for the attacks.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

Hoxhunt offers training, knowledge bases, customisation, great UI and design, all kept simple and easy to use. It is also relatively easy to implement. The customer support is also helpful as you can also submit feature requests. I use Hoxhunt about 2 times a day because of the email training and sometimes because of the built-in training within Hoxhunt. All in all, it is a learning tool that is very easy to integrate because of all the features mentioned above.

#### Cons

Nothing in particular, maybe the leaderboard needs an overhaul, its a bit confusing.

I like that this program trains us against threats, in a safe simulated environment. It moves emails that seem fishy to a different folder, so it makes you aware that something may be risky with it.

#### Cons

Honestly I really liked it! Something new across the boring work inbox. Starting from the "usual" training phishing and scam emails - you can report them via hoxhunt and also get a micro (but useful) explanation about what have you just reported. Later - "spicy mode" - sometimes really believable and hard to detect. Also the gamification aspect is surprisingly fun. By reporting and completing micro trainings you unlock achievements and upgrade your "shield". It's a first time I saw such mandatory thing be quite enjoyable. Nice! :)
