Great solution
Action1 is great. I love that they have a discord channel where you can talk with other users. I've received some great support from them, and from time to time the founders of the company even talk to us is the channel.
PROSI love the fact that Action1 has many features straight out of the box. They market themselves as a Patch Management solution, but they do some great features such as software installation, Vulnerability scanning, and remote access as well.
CONSThe time from when you tell the system to perform a task, to when it actually does is a bit slow. Nothing too drastic though. we are talking around 30 seconds.

Action1 did more than NinjaOne with a flat pricing scale. Ninja was so much for this, and so much for that type of pricing.

A Platform that works great and a compony that cares.
I can't say enough good things about Action1. I leave two things here: 1.) 100 Free endpoints forever - no card required. This is great for smaller internal IT departments. They won't even let you make a donation towards the development. They are great people with a heart for service. 2.) They listen to their customer (whether they are paying or not). The roadmap is wonderful and allows customers to upvote feature requests and comment on what they would like to see.
PROS- Roadmap: Action1 provides a public roadmap and allows users to upvote feature requests. The best part is... they listen to their users and are constantly involving. - Software Deployment: Action1 makes software deployment quick and easy. They have a Software repository with dozens of programs that are always up to date. You can also easily add your own software with all the parameters and scripting needed! - Easy Turn up: You can deploy endpoints quickly! - User interface - Automate deployment and patching - Reports: Built-in and custom - Scripting: Built-in and custom

Don't know how we managed without Action1
I can only say that Action1 is fantastic, and I hightly recommend it to anyone looking for a patch managment solution.
PROSAction1 has been a lifesaver for us as a small ICT Team. We now have full overview of our fleet of windows devices and can see any updates or vulnerabilites at a pane of glass. In my team we often talk about how a great find Action1 was. We looked at different solutions, but they were either too expensive or did not have the features we wanted. We love how the team at Action1 regulary keep us up to date webinars, and frequently publish new features.
CONSI can't think of anything I don't like about Action1. I do wish that we also could see our MacOS fleet in Action1, but the good news is that that is on their roadmap.

Action 1 Simple Efficient and Easy to use
Faster more efficient means of accessing clients machines for support.
PROSIt is very simple to setup and deploy. The remote connections are hassle free and need no client interaction which is more efficient whilst still remaining secure. The patching is easy to control and gives the ability to ensure all clients are fully patched. We can even choose when and how they are deployed.
CONSMonitoring could be better with easier access to the logs. This way you can see things like bad blocks or memory errors.

Cost was no longer suiting our business needs and no ability to remove licenses. If a client moved away you were stuck with the license cost until a new client is brought on board.

Action1 Review after about a year of use.
We used to be a much larger MSP managing 200+ clients operating with a staff of 9 techs. Since COVID, we've all but closed down and were paying other RMM tools a small fortune to simply rdp to their systems to help an end user figure out why their printer wasn't working. Action1 has saved us an incredible amount of time and money by providing a fantastic RDP / Remote monitoring suite.
PROSAction1's price for a smaller operation is 100% the reason we even considered it. We manage approximately 60 devices and their "free" use for up to 100 endpoints was critical in helping us switch over. Their deployment is a breeze; the organization of endpoints for the different companies we manage seems logical and straight forward. I don't recall ever doing a mass deployment to a particular company "group". After installing the endpoint manager, it's easy enough for us anyway to assign them to the group we want in the dashboard, but your miles may vary. Once you group your devices into a group, the overview is incredibly helpful. You can see the name of the system(and rename the hostname if you need too for better organization), add some custom notes, see who's currently logged into the machine, if its online or not, if a reboot is suggested, what OS the system is running and if the system is missing any updates. All at a glance. You can push scripts, connect via RDP with a click of a button, reboot the system and more. Incredibly intuitive interface that 100% meets all of our needs. I'm 100% confident we don't even use a fraction of what this software is capable of, but of the parts we do use, it's become critical for us and how we operate.
CONSCurrently, as we're a very small MSP, there's nothing I ever sat down and needed Action1 to do that it doesn't already do that we maybe don't have a work around for, so it's not a huge issue for us. The only thing that comes to mind is file transferring? I'm not aware of the ability to transfer a file from my system to the remote endpoint. If there is, I apologize. We have a SFTP site I just log into and drop the data from, so it's not that big of a deal. The clipboard works so if I have to copy and paste a password for instance, that works, which is 99% of all we need to do "transferring" anything.
Reasons for switching to Action1
Cost. Atera was starting to get to be around a few hundred dollars and we don't really operate what most would consider a "MSP" anymore. It's all mostly break fix now so we don't have any clients paying us a monthly subscription fee to offset the cost of remote access. Because we're now mostly just break / fix but still having a way to remotely access a client's devices still saves everyone involved a lot of time and frustration just being able to quickly remediate a problem when they call and we can just invoice after confirming the problem resolved and everyone goes on about their day; happy as can be. With their "Free to 100 endpoints", it really helps smaller outfits like us still provide a professional appearance like the big guys, while keeping costs down on the backend.

Action1 Experience is a wow!
It is a good and flexible tool to use. It is ease to understand and use as there are tips or notes.
PROSI like the score dashboard for vulnerabilities. It makes it ease to tell how many of the servers are vulnerable and even tell what specific vulnerabilities needed to be fixed. You can actually also do agent deployment or software deployments for action 1
CONSSometimes it is difficult to get a right script to use for some deployments. Still struggling on how to uninstall a bulk of SysAid agents using Action1

It has patched, managed, and gave me access to workstations fast and from anywhere I am at with internet. I enjoy the two factor authentication as well.
PROSI enjoy that I am able to connect to every computer and understand what is happening within my network. I like that there are email motivations that I can set up to know what is critical and who has installed a software. Peace of mind is what I like the most, especially as a one person IT position.
CONSI would say the UI, it is rather basic. I think basic has gone a long way but it seems like i spend a lot of time opening the menu tree on the left side too much. It would be nice if it was set up a bit nicer, not really a con though.

It was fast and easy to deploy, it came with a free trial in which gives me full features. It works like it should, no issues or bugs.

An Affordable and feature rich solution to Patch management
It has been really good, they are very attentive and want to help, the product is constantly improving and it just keeps getting better.
PROSI like that I just had to install a piece of software on a server and it picked up all the PC's and servers and installed the software it needed on them. Any new PC's get the software and report up to the cloud fast. It takes the guess work out of making sure everything is setup. I also liked that I could push a critical update and force (or not) a reboot. Makes things super easy.
CONSAt first is was SLOW in their cloud portal, but with each passing month it gets faster and more useful. I also was limited to one login for an administrator at first but that was opened up recently to more than one.

The price was substantially less and the demo was up and I was pushing out updates in less than 1 hour.

Action1 is a one of our best IT resources!
Action1 has been a gamechanger for us in regards to an easy to use product to help us manage our fleet of computers for our small organization within a limited budget as well as limited IT adjacent staffing. Being able to schedule patching, deploy apps and running scripts in the background, as well as being able to real-time troubleshoot across our network via the remote access tools. It has saved hours and hours of staff time as well as being affordable for us in that we can take advantage of the free tier based on our PC count.
PROSEase of installation on our machine, the ability to create and manage multiple groups, the easily accessible patch and app management features, as well as remote desktop support. The ability to select patching types and schedule them by individual computers, groups or entire organization is a huge time-saver as well.
CONSWould like to see additional options added the remote desktop interface to improve the features available within that tool. Would also be great to have more customization within the asset management and reporting tools. Also better support for adding and deploying third-party apps not included already in the library (we have seen some issues with pushing .exe files in particular for installation - MSI files work great!)

We chose this over other products as Action1 allowed more machines to be managed on their free tier, by far, than any other RMM we looked at. Also the settings and interface for setup and deployment were much more streamlined and intuitive than some of the other competitor products we examined.

Action1 is a great tool
Excellent, very pleased. Their offer of the first 100 seats for free makes this a wonderful choice for smaller operations.
PROSExtremely easy to deploy and to use. Action1 really shines compared to some competitors which are overly complex and opaque to operate. It's quality software--all of us who work in IT are familiar with packages which promise the world but never actually work right--Action is not like that, it works very well from day 1. VERY easy to implement and start using productively right away.
CONSI'd like to see features for a remote task manager, remote service manager, remote event log viewing.

Inexpensive, reliable, easy to use. Also, a slightly different focus than most "do it all" RMMs, in a good way.

Action1 is far superior at deploying packages and scripts, far suprior at ptach management. Atera has distinct features Action1 lacks (real time tools), but Atera's reporting and policy management is just terrible. It's hard to know if something ran or not with Atera. Action1's granular scheduling works well in conjunction with Atera for real-time tools. Also, with 2 RMMS, if one agent breaks the other toll can fix it--nice!

Action 1 ideal for SME and up!
I'm coming to use it more and more and it's my go-to utility for monitoring and patching end points. The vulnerability scanning is similar to nessus which really makes you get on top of aged products and software services.

CONSI can honestly say there has been very little to dislike about this product full stop it ticks all the boxes for me as an overworked IT professional supporting a small to medium size company

Best RMM I have ever used!
My experience with Action1 has been great. I would highly recommend using this software as an RMM tool for technicians and IT managers to help control and keep your endpoints secure.
PROSI have been using Action1 for over a year and I am very impressed. It contains lots of useful features such as remote desktop, update deployments, vulnerability patches, and software deployment. My favorite part of Action1 is the ability for it to automatically update endpoints which gives me more time to solve other IT issues.

Wonderful remote control system
To be able to drive the company's PC without anybody is there, is the best

The perfect RMM tool for a new or small business
Overall we're very satisfied by Action1 RMM. It has allowed us to easily add, monitor and patch our workstations across different locations, and while some of it's options could be improved we feel that the cost/quality relationship is totally worth it.
PROSThe 2 best things are Endpoint discovery which is a brilliant tool that allows us to add new workstations automatically. Also the ability to approve and schedule the patches we want installed and when.
CONSThe Reports area could be improved, as there's currently no way to pull a report per device of all the software installed. Instead it shows you a list of all the software installed on all managed devices, and then you need to go into each piece of software to see where it's installed. Also the Reports lack filtering options. I also feel like the dashboard is bit hard to get around and it takes some time to get to know where everything is.

Very easy to roll out. Free for up to 100 end points. Fantastic functionality and ease of use.
One of the best experiences I have had with a new product I have implemented. Sales and support staff are exceptional. I was able to arrange several live demos even before I made a purchase. For our size, I technically could have used the free version, but I decided to upgrade to the paid version to receive priority support.

CONSRemote desktop functionality is basic. Would love to see more development and features in that area.

The Best Decision
What can you not like about Action1? They provide patch’s to softwares they have added and allows you to add your own. They allow you to remote into endpoints. Action1 takes your suggestions very seriously. They really do care about you.
CONSThe most recent update moved the remote option but I understand once it was explained on the reason.

Why I love this software
Thank you for making a product that answers so many IT needs without having to write/test code all day.
PROSThe best part is with very little setup I was able to determine if a client is missing critical updates. Especially for Windows, it is really simple and easy. A big plus is that your clients only need to be connected to the internet for the agent and console to communicate.
CONSSOme of the fields are not quite sortable for ease of data mining
