Great product for creating wikis to document common processes

Easy to upgrade and maintain with regular ongoing updates from the developer, however the product is conceptually limited by the developers desire to retain the Shelves > Books > Chapters > Pages structure, rather than abstracting these into a default set that could be customised.

PROS

+ The support of Markdown and the preview of the documentation. + The automatic creation of a page contents using headings. + Pre-made structure of Shelves > Books > Chapters > Pages helps to get started. + Numerous IDM integrations including apps like Slack. + Auto-save of drafts.

CONS

- Pre-made structure of Shelves > Books > Chapters > Pages is limiting. - File upload is only through a small droppable area which can cause you to loose the page. - Very limited visual customisation.

Reason for choosing BookStack

- BookStack felt easier to manage thank MediaWiki and had more defined structure. - Moodle and SharePoint already exist within the organisation but the permissions would be hard to manage. - WordPress doesn't have a suitable Wiki structure.

Aplicación de Wiki y gestor documental sencilla y directa.

PROS

Reason for choosing BookStack

Por su sencillez y facilidad de uso.
