Simple, Effective Online Booking Portal
Allows my customers to book online. Allows me to process reservations at times convenient for me. Love the software!
PROSI was looking only for an online booking portal, nothing more. It's perfect, I love it.
CONSThere is nothing I like least about this software. I like it. If I could ask for one improvement, it would be a copy and paste mechanism to populate the Availability Calendar. From my reservation software, I can export my availability to a csv file. If I could simply copy and paste into the Availability Online - Availability Calendar, that would be dynamite. This would allow me to copy/paste subsets and custom views of my availability into the Availability Calendar.

All of the others included reservation management software. I only wanted an online booking portal.

Overall, this software provides exactly what my business needs, while still giving me the control over it's functionality that I desire as the owner, which is very much appreciated!
PROSIt was very easy to transition to and use! We can make changes when needed quickly and the customer support provided is usually fairly quick to resolve issues and answer questions.
CONSOccasionally there have been a few glitches, but nothing too major. My biggest recommendation would be to show the "Unit Requested" in the Reservation pick-up list. Also, some more ways to search for archived reservations would be nice...for instance, the ability to search by customer name perhaps?
Reason for choosing Availability Online
I liked the flat yearly fee so that I knew what my costs were up front. I also like that they do not charge percentage based fees. I did not want to go under a large booking engine such as AirBnB, but still offer the ease of checking availability online for potential guests that these bigger companies offer. Availability Online allows me to operate on my own and greatly aids in the checking availability process for guests and the reservation making process for us!

We love it to keep our calendar and data organized. Safe and secure program. Great response if I have a problem.
PROSWhen checking for new reservations it is easy to reply and they stay with the PC compliance. Secure and they let you know the protection of all the data.
CONSOn a busy day sometimes I forget to go to the calendar and check it off. It would be great if we were prompt. Also when I try to use the minimum stays it does not allow it to be consistant easy to put in.

Availability Online User
I have been using Availability Online for many many years. I find Availability Online very affordable and easy-to-use. Other booking engines charge $40 a month or more to use their systems. Many of those nice to have options are over kill, cost more money and are unnecessary niceties for small properties.
PROSUnlike other booking engines with Availability Online you get all the guests information and process the guests information through your own credit card system. No third party seeing your guests booking details.
CONSNo problems. Availability Online is very responsive to technical questions.

As a small bed-and-breakfast owner I appreciate the cost, simplicity, responsiveness and accuracy of Availability Online.

Reasonably priced reservation system
They have great customer service, and have resolved any issue for me within the day.
PROSIt is easy to use, easy to connect to your website and I like the text feature the minute you get a reservation.
CONSI have not used but one other system and it was actually similar. We are a small Inn and this suits us just fine.

I can’t even remember the names of the ones I looked at. But I would say pricing and location (USA) were the biggest factors. I also did not want to be tied into Expedia or Travelocity for business - that is just not our model.

The other system sold out (and had actually built their system from this company) I made the switch because I needed a new system, they were in the USA and not tied to other European or large businesses.

I have been using Availability Online since I first opened my business in 2010. I have tested other programs but find Availability Online is the must user friendly program for both staff and guests. I seldom have problems and when I do I get great customer service. For the size of my business I find this program to be the best for me.
CONSI have no negative comments. As long as the program is regularly updated I am happy.

I found Availability Online the most user friendly program that anyone can learn understand in a short period of time, and as a small business does not have a bunch of stuff I will never use

Availability Online Review
Problems I am solving is not having to wait for guests to call in to make their reservations. The system is user friendly and not received any complaints about guests not being able to reserve rooms.
PROSAs an Innkeeper working with a small-sized inn (five rooms/baths) with help once or twice weekly. Availability Online simplicity makes it easy to check online reservations and track incoming and outgoing guests.
CONSNot having the email address, on the Pending Reservation page. I would like to see a column with guests email address. There might be a way to capture guests email address, but not able to capture it.

Works for Bed and Breakfasts!
We've been very pleased with Availability Online. They are also easy to reach and personable when we have a question.
PROSA very user friendly way to show availability to guests. I also love that guests can order Gift Certificates through Availability Online.
CONSI wish that when I put in a change on a month I didn't have to go back to the original month to select the next month I need to do changes on. It all takes time! Airbnb allows me to show the year and make changes all at once.

Bed and Breakfast reservations made easy
Simple to use and does the job so we are very happy.
PROSReally like how easy it is to set up and use this software. Its also very easy to modify prices and train employees on how to use it. The cost is very reasonable and being a small B&B we appreciate the low yearly fee.
CONSTwo dislikes are - we have difficulty tracking cancelled reservations, and haven't been able to completely integrate software with TripAdvisor, or other booking services.

This is a great basic reservation program. It gets the job done with ease. The customer support has been responsive and excellent the very few times it was needed. A good product for the price

We love Availability Online
As stated earlier, we love AO and it's ease of use. Customer support is outstanding. Questions are answered quickly.
PROSThe software is easy to use. You can go in and change all your own preferences and settings. We've used AO for many years now and wouldn't have it any other way!

Have used this for a number of years and am happy with the ease of use. I like the keep it simple approach.
PROSVery easy to update and review calendar.
CONSI am not really a tech person so my capabilities are limited. It might offer this option but I have not had the time or ability to see if it synchs with other software calendars that I have.

Great Option
Online reservations are easy for customers to find available dates and that saves me time on the phone. :) I'm also able to check the calendar when I'm not in the office.
PROSOnce everything was initially set up, it's very easy to keep everything updated. Customers using the product haven't had any issues.
CONSWhen I need to update something (mainly comments or policy changes), I have a hard time finding where to go to make those changes.

Don't remember. Did a lot of research at the time, but once I chose Availability Online, I didn't keep the research.

AOl gets the job done!
See the block above. I think that my comments for the most part belong here instead.
PROSI don’t use many of the features, however the ones I do use, receiving requests for reservations and managing fill dates are simple to use and get the job done. I’m not one for fancy technology, just need the basics. The folks at AOL, have always been available to answer my questions or to fix problems. I like being able to contact a real person.
CONSIt would be nice to be able to link Paypal to the site so that it would be offered as another method of payment. Also, perhaps having some how to online tutorials showing the different features if the program would be helpful as well.

The service we have with Availability Online is a good one because their product can be accessed from our website which in turn gives our people an easy way to fill out a reservation form on a secured site.
PROSThis is very easy to use and it gives our customers an easy way to pay which makes it good for us.

Easy to use, but room for improvement
Features are easy to use and update once the initial setup is complete.
CONSI wish that Availability Online could connect with popular rental sites such as VRBO and Airbnb and automatically update calendars as reservations are made.

It works!
Very positive. Again, our use is quite limited, but the times I needed help, it was there.

CONS1. That I have to manually enter other reservations made via Airbnb and VRBO on the calendar. The link from Availability Online only goes in one direction. 2. I am not able to alter or update an existing reservation such as change the dates. 3. The program does not process credit cards. I believe that this would probably be too complicated to do....??
