Running code line by line in Jupyter Notebook
I use Jupyter Notebook daily to maintain and collaborate on my code. I highly recommend its use, especially for academicians.
PROSI do not troubleshoot my errors in Jupyter Notebook but the ease of splitting and running code into chunks plays a part in making troubleshooting more effective. It helps to narrow down the specific part of the code that is throwing the error.
CONSAdding comments is a little time-consuming with the number of # characters for each heading etc. Commenting on the code throughout is at the heart of good coding practice, but it takes a while to do so in the NB. Some shortcuts would come in very handy to save time on this.

Use VS Code instead of Jupyter
overall, I enjoyed coding using this software. But in the end, I switched to Visual Studio Code software.
PROSThe truly good feature that positively impacts the experience of using Jupyter is it has what I call the "Cell System". That is, you can write your code in separate cells. so if you wanted to edit something in the code and check the results of your modification, you only have to run that specific cell without the need of running the whole program. This is truly amazing. There are a lot of documentations about this software.
CONSThe standard visual modes are limited. You are trapped with the same layout, color, and font. There is no Dark mode, which I think is essential for developers.

Most developer friendly Python IDE particularly for data science and machine learning
I have been using Jupyter Notebook for quite a while mostly for my work as a product engineer to mainly for data analytics and visualisation which are parts of my current role usually done during pre production cycle and sometimes I also use it outside of work for my personal deep learning projects related to image classification. My overall experience with Jupyter Notebook has been positive due to a lot of useful tools this platform has to offer, thing that stand out the most is its ability to handle large dataset which in my opinion is very necessary aspect for big data project. Therefore, I'd recommend this platform for all works related to data science, machine learning, deep learning as it has all you need to excel.
PROSThere are many aspects from Jupyter Notebook that I really like, however there are three main things which stand out the most in my personal opinion. Firstly, I like the nature of Jupyter Notebook that allows users or developers to not only write the code in blocks but also save, compile, and get the output of the code individually. This particular feature enables me to analyse the code easier and detect any error in the code as early as possible. Secondly, Jupyter Notebook has the capability of handling extremely large dataset where I never had a major issue related to big data size on this platform. Last but not least, when it come to visualising data for instance using Python libraries, such as matplotlib or seaborn, Jupyter Notebook has a very clean and solid graph.
CONSPerhaps there are only few aspects that I dislike from this platform and I believe there are still rooms for improvement. The first thing is the installation and configuration set up process that might take a lot of time especially for beginners who are not familiar with this type of software. Other than that, since Jupyter Notebook currently only supports Python, it would be great and appreciated if in the future, they consider to support more programming languages related to data science like R or scala.

The most flexible IDE out there!
I think the jupyter notebook should be the first place a data analyst/data scientist goes to. The ability to execute code in cells , in an efficient manner, is a must have.
PROSI think the sheer ability to create a story out of data using this notebook is phenomenal. The resources it uses up are very minimal and the simple aesthetic of it keeps everything neat. In addition installing it with the anaconda distribution has been a blessing to our team. We can import datasets and analyze them in minutes without having to run the code multiple times like in IDE's such as Spyder and Pycharm.
CONSJupyter notebook seems very error prone at times. It spits out errors which can seemingly be resolved by restarting the notebook.
Reason for choosing The Jupyter Notebook

Excellent open source interactive development environment
We used the Jupyter notebook for python code development to analyse incoming log files from business processes. Using libraries of python, we ingested large volumes of log files from multiple data sources. Next, we cleaned the data, transformed it and standardised it according to pre-defined requirements. All of these were performed using Jupyter notebooks. Furthermore, with the Jupyter notebook, we plotted scientific plots to extract insights from the data and next built a model to predict disruptions in the business processes. All these improved the efficiency of operations, reduced latency, and added business value.
PROSIntuitive and easy to use interface Simple debugging Web-based interface - can be easily set up with minima installation Excellent application for creating and sharing notebooks with graphs, scientific plots, statistical analysis, intelligent algorithms and advanced analytics to uncover insights from data Easy sharing with the team for better collaboration and communication Multiple modes to save the notebook hence good for demos purposes, training, and storing in a repository for reference at a later date Open source - good community support Pricing - Free to use
CONSBetter memory allocation for huge datasets Some standard libraries could be installed beforehand to reduce the time to get started

Jupyter notebook, my number one Python Partner
I'm using Jupyter Notebook for every initial software development process, helping me along the way as one of my best partners.. Having a lot of fun using it and I can't imagine myself without it.
PROSI think the most impactful thing about Jupyter Notebook is the ease of implementation, you just do some clicks and configuration and you're ready to go, making it insanely useful and easy to code. You work with cells, blocks of code that can be split or run altogether, and see what happens in every cell separately.
CONSI think some shortcuts for cells could be improved, for example deleting a cell is a simple 'D' and your work is gone, time to search for it.. Maybe some configuration regarding those could be great.

The most effective programming languages for computing
I've figured out Data Science, Machine Learning, and Python Web Development issues. Also, I've connected Python with SQL-based databases. I've benefited from Jupyter notebook in terms of programming workflow.
PROSCompared to alternative IDEs, I like the Jupyter Notebook UI. It functions flawlessly and is incredibly light in my browser. The programme can be written in blocks, and Jupyter saves the output of each block of code separately. I can easily restart the kernel and carry out the process again if my code freezes. It gives you the freedom to independently run any code block. It is excellent that so many programming languages are supported.
CONSJupyter notebook does not support all programme integration. Also, I wish Jupyter Notebook could connect to an external server and enable GPU functionality similar to Google Colab.

Python lifesaver
I prefer using JN instead of editing code in an IDE as it allows for more flexibility. It is easy to simply write a script and execute it line by line. If there are any errors, it's easy to rectify it on the spot. What's good is that the output is executed within the cells and stays there till you refresh it to do something new. Even though it is not exclusively for Python, it still makes the job a lot easier for me so I avoid making mistakes. Writing the notebooks is easy and I can save it to share with others so that we can work on the same thing. Google Collab is one platform where I can upload the notebooks and run it on the cloud for my data analysis and Machine Learning needs. The best part is I can run it easily from any browser or use it on the cloud.
CONSFile management is terrible at times. On some rare occasions, it doesn't execute properly or gives weird errors. Some notebooks aren't marked so one isn't sure if they are compatible with python 2 or 3. There is no flexibility to interchange between the two.
