Fishbowl is a hybrid manufacturing and warehouse management solution designed for small and midsize companies. Key features include inventory control, material requirements planning (MRP), job shop floor control, work order management, manufacturer orders and bills of materials. The solution can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud.

Fishbowl also offers features such as barcoding, asset management, raw materials management, cycle counting, reporting, automated ordering and purchasing. It provides real-time updates on the stock level to multiple warehouses of an organization. The solution can predict inventory requirements based on sales trends and allows organizations to transfer stocks from one warehouse to other.

The solution also features automated batch and repair work orders based on lot tracking and serial number tracking. Fishbowl supports integration with e-commerce, shipping, merchant services and CRM systems such as QuickBooks, Magento, Shopify, Zencart and Salesforce.

Great for manufacturing management

Great App, great customer service. Great overall experience. Would recommend to anyone in the business of manufacturing.

Pros

The inventory system is very functional. This app makes manufacturing so much easier. Keeping track of my inventory is simple now.

Cons

Updating the app is a bit of a pain, but the customer service team are a pleasure to deal with and can walk you right though it.

Great tool for resource tracking

Pros

Fishbowl is a great application for assigning part numbers and other detailed information to our products that can be accessed by the right people within our company.

Cons

Great for manufacturing and inventory management

Pros

Fishbowl and Fishbowl Go make it easy to process product from anywhere in your facility. The ability to receive or cycle/scrap inventory anywhere streamlines the process.

Cons

If a user does not have proper training it can definitely create issues and inaccuracies. Training and review is extremely important.

Pros

Great product and incredible support. Very knowledgeable staff - thanks to the support team! Never experienced any down time issues.

Cons

The system is very complex but manageable because of great support staff. Some steps just take too long but I'm not sure we want to cut certain steps out.

Great Economical Inventory management system

It is a great inventory management system for small-medium sized companies, especially ones that don't have a ton of SKU's and have fairly simple reporting requirements. We have outgrown it and need an ERP, but that is to be expected :)

Pros

It does most of what we've needed it to do.

Cons

It can be sluggish, slow, and is very difficult to get custom reporting without having a jasper reports coder on staff

Inventory system is great; Checkoyt needs work

This is a great inventory system. The upgrade process needs improvement and the POS needs work. Support is always excellent.

Pros

The inventory system is great and richly functional. It is good for manufacturing. The plugins are excellent. Support is great!

Cons

Upgrading the system is problematic and usually requires support to address problems. The checkout program is slow, cumbersome & not designed for transactional retail stores.

Pros

The support team has been very helpful, the workflow is pretty intuitive and the reports included are great. The customer representative helped us get set up and gave us a few tutorials. Overall great product!

Cons

It's pretty pricey compared with some other inventory management software on the market but you get what you pay for. We had to purchase a couple extra reports that we thought should have been included with the product.

Except for some of the reporting weakness it is a solid program that accomplishes just about everything you need for sales order processing, purchasing as well as inventroy control.

Pros

Easy of use - intuitive screens and facilitating data entry. Quick learning curve - was able to get most of my staff feeling comfortable with the program within a few hours.

Cons

Missing some what I consider standard inventory control reporting and serialize item control. Can be corrected but just adds cost and time.

Great Value and Exceptional Tool

Pros

Our decision to select Fishbowl has paid dividends in ways we did not anticipate, and has made our operation run like a machine. Its the natural advent to Quick Books, for companies commercializing new products, and due to its simplicity, makes for a speedy implementation, with minimal headaches. The resources at Fishbowl are very responsive, and know their product well !

Updating can be a bit tricky but nothing to be worried about. Fishbowl support always gets us taken care of

Great addition to our company!

Pros

Fishbowl has been great at tracking our inventory. There is not much that it can't do. And, if you find something they are always willing to look into the problem and fixing it. Their customer service is top notch. Rep is always available for us, quick to respond, and willing to go above and beyond.

Cons

I wish their reports were a little more customizable on our end. We are used to QB reports which are easily customized to our need with filters, etc. They do offer custom reports, but for a fee.

Stay away from FISHBOWL!!

Pros

It's fairly easy to use. You can add product images in the system. The icons are big. That's about it.

Cons

The support team is horrible. They don't know what they're doing. Custom reports are expensive and take weeks to do. And then, they're still Wrong!!! The freezes up daily. If you want to use any of their "plugins" like for shipping via FedEx, they're terrible! Tons of room for human error. The system is just plain "buggy". We finally upgraded to their 2017 version after they promised all of the bugs had been worked out. It's just as bad !!!!!!
