The best platform for incident reports. Period.

Excellent! Didn't realize the need for allowing people to subscribe for updates but the fact that's there and it supports unlimited subscribers is huge.

PROS

Instatus is cost effective, looks great, and is fast to set up. When other status software is $100/mo+, Instatus makes it affordable to keep your users updated. And the team is super responsive and receptive to feedback. Can't ask for more honestly.

CONS

If there was a way for Instatus to run the website/app pings to see if your site is down instead of having to integrate with something for automatic updates that would be awesome. Would love to get rid of my Freshping account and just use Instatus.

Reason for choosing Instatus

It was much cheaper and it was the best looking. I'm a small business so pricing that's friendly for small businesses is huge!

Beautiful and efficient status pages

We have absolutely loved Instatus from the day we implemented it. It is fast, has a great user interface and experience, and is fairly cheap.

PROS

Instatus as a product is absolutely wonderful. They have exceptional UI, they are extremely cheap, and they have great customer support.

CONS

Some features that are available on more popular provider's free plans are unavailable on Instatus'. While I get that they need to make money, it is a small bit of an inconvenience.

Reason for choosing Instatus

It is cheaper, and has a way better user interface.

Clean UI, fair pricing, but communication has been very slow so far

So far it's been poor; Apart from the poor support, the system has been a little unintuitive (finding where to add users, how to view your subscription).

PROS

UI looks good, and the price is fair for a basic service like this.

CONS

The support has been below expectations. We subscribed to the pro account. When we looked at our subscription, it was not in USD. We asked if it could be changed to USD and we were told to cancel and then given a URL to resubscribe to make the subscription be in USD. However, this doesn't work. When we sign up, it shows a success page, but all the other pages still appear like we haven't signed up. We've been asking for help for over 24 hours now, with no response. It's a business day, so it's a bit concerning. Even if they replied by saying that it's an issue, and we are working on it, that would be much better than what we have now. We are wondering if this is a product we should use or not.

Great Software, Friendly Founder

PROS

I like everything that Instatus offers. They offer what the standard statuspage would, but at a cheaper price. I run a nonprofit, so we use our statuspage to inform our users about any technical issues. You can create incidents, link them up with third-party monitoring services, subscription services (even includes Discord notifications which are popular nowadays). It also has excellent, easy-to-follow documentation provided. I got everything set up in less than 20 minutes, connecting a custom domain was even easier!

CONS

Everyone is good, but I suggested a feature to the founder in the Instatus Slack for there to be a way to have incidents automatically create using your own custom template when your third-party monitoring system detects an outage. Other than that, everything looks good and works well!

Simple and painless status page service

The Instatus user interface is phenomenal and makes for a really great experience throughout the platform. Instatus integrates beautifully with uptime monitoring services like Uptime Robot so any outages or downtime that occur are instantly reported to your customer-facing page. Unlike alternatives, Instatus isn't flooded with extra features you will never end up using and the service has a really great API and documentation to automate status reporting in your own product. Really great service from an amazing maker.

PROS

Fast and easy setup process - Plenty of integrations - Support for custom HTML, CSS, JS - Feature rich - Lots of customization options - Flexible API

CONS

Nothing I can really say bad about this service. Any time I ran into an issue, the team was able to fix the problem right away.

Reasons for switching to Instatus

StatusPage was too expensive and Instatus offers the same, if not a better feature-set for a more affordable price.

It's very great alternative to status page, because not only that it's cheaper but also more customizable.

PROS

- Fast and instant changes - Very customizable (CSS, JS, HTML, Alert options, Components options, everything practically) - Very intuitive

CONS

I didn't dislike anything really, everything was perfect even if something broke product team fixed it right away.

Smashes the competition

Fantastic, has done everything I needed it to well and the developer is really responsive when there is a problem - which i should state has always been user error.

PROS

Has all the features I need for a much smaller cost than the alternatives.

CONS

I would like the ability to manage my own account a bit more, being able to reset my password etc.

Reason for choosing Instatus

It had an attractive, modern look and was so much cheaper.

Overall great service and really happy with the product.

PROS

Easy to use, clean, easily understandable, and highly extensible.

CONS

Software is still fairly young, so some minor issues are to be expected. Support response is excellent though.

Overall was the most extensible, with the most intuitive interface for both admins and users, best overall value, and best support for the price.

InStatus can keep up with the big guys - and more!

I have to say that I'm rarely this excited about a tool. But with InStatus, everything is just right: lots of features and customization options, a free plan and a more affordable Pro package, and great customer support. I had a request and gave feedback and the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] personally replied within 24 hours and was super open to my suggestions. I am excited to see where the journey will go in the future and can't wait.

PROS

InStatus does everything right and is well on its way to compete with the big players like Uptime Robot or Statuspage.com. Not only the status pages look super clean and can be customized in design, layout and functions as desired. The dashboard is also clean and intuitive and offers a really large selection of different settings. In addition, the status pages are available in many languages, even in German, and the translation is very good. In addition, you can integrate existing services, because monitoring is not currently offered by InStatus out of the box. I also like to use the web widget, so that it is directly visible on my website whether there are currently restrictions and with a click on it you get to the detailed status page. Another plus: notifications (for users who have subscribed to them) can be sent via your own email address. A separate domain for the entire status page is available in the Pro package.

CONS

I would like to see monitoring taken over by InStatus, but think this is already in the works. It would also be great if the web widget could be customized a bit more, for example the background color. An app for Intercom is also a must-have and I think it won't be long before this will be available as well.

Much more features already available in the free feature, more intuitive dashboard and nice support!

Easy setup, does exactly what we need

PROS

Instatus was incredibly easy to set up and get implemented with our other support tools. It took me less than an hour to set everything up, customize it, and pop it into our Intercom messenger. I'm super impressed with the customizability of everything and am confident we'll be able to configure whatever we need as we grow. The free plan is perfect for what we need right now, and when we need to upgrade, the price is so much more reasonable than competitors. It only took me 20 minutes of looking through status page products to know Instatus was the no-brainer choice. Well done!

CONS

If I had to pick something, I'd say I don't like that email notifications can't be configured to look like they're coming from our domain. This is only possible if you use one of the email providers they integrate with, which we don't. Would be nice if we could just configure our DNS records to authorize them to send emails using our domain like how Intercom does it. But this is not a big deal at all.

Easy way to setup a status page

A really positive experience so far with Instatus and I'm considering getting the paid plan to be able to connect my own domain name.

PROS

I've been using Instatus for a few months for my status page after switching from Statuspage. It's super quick to setup with an easy to use UI to manage/create your status page. There's a wide range of customization options like custom HTML and CSS to allow you to customize your status page to fit your branding. The free plan is very generous compared to other tools with unlimited subscribers and a free API.

CONS

It'd be great to have a Zapier/IFTTT integration to allow Instatus to be connected to a wider range of services for status alert notifications.

Best Status Page Of 2021!

I loved the speed of it, as I came from StatusPage I needed something fast and I like you can add HTML and CSS on the free plan!

CONS

Well they needed to add the auto change the status when there is maintenance after that everything else works great! Maybe also add a shorter domain for the free status page?

Instatus makes you rethink status pages

PROS

The simplicity and design of Instatus is outstanding. Instatus provides relief at a stressful time such as an outage by making it really easy to communicate with customers.

CONS

There were some minor UX issues in the dashboard which were promptly sorted after provide feedback.

Custom domains are paid This is like only con i have.

Instatus review

For the past 2-3 years of using Instatus, I've loved the updates. Such as the move from listed components to really customizable ones.

PROS

I like that this is a feature-rich alternative to Statuspage.io, and the customizability of it (custom CSS, domains, etc.)

CONS

Not anything that I least like about Instatus, Ali is a really good person and I enjoy using the product!

Best Website Status Page Maker!

In general, the free plan includes a variety of features and customization choices. The support team is outstanding and replies promptly.

PROS

Instatus makes it simple to create a status page for your website. On the free account, we can additionally include HTML and CSS which is a great feature for customization.

CONS

Well, it must include an auto-detect website status feature, and it would be excellent if it provides a shorter domain for the free status page.

The Best Platform for Statuspages

PROS

Instatus is incredibly easy to use and setup, while also having the ability to take a deep dive into customization. Even though we don't use their paid tier, the pricing is competitive with other status pages that I've used. The endless integrations are wonderful, and the status page is blazing fast.

CONS

The ability to drag-and-drop components would be wonderful (even though I'm pretty sure that's already being worked on). Other than that, we haven't run into any issues, and Instatus has been wonderful!

Reasons for switching to Instatus

Atlassian's pricing is horrendous, with many features being locked behind a steep paywall. Instatus offers (most of) the features we were looking for in their free tier, which made it a no-brainer to switch.

The best status page, incident reporting tool I've seen so far

PROS

Their UI is extremely snappy, the pages I believe are static making them super snappy and fast to load. The single pricing 20 dollars makes it a steal tbh.

CONS

None as of now. If in futute I feel there's anything missing. I can definitely update this.

Best status page I've tried so far, I can automate with montiors and do all the things with the web UI. The author also is often available to help, add features and answer questions via Slack

PROS

Semplicity, free licenses for open source projects

CONS

Missing official API packages for other programming languages (like PHP)

Because Statusfy didn't have a UI where you can add incidents and manage your status page. Also you cannot add integrations like Instatus do with monitors. Statusfy also didn't get updates in the last year
