Device42 is a solid contender in the DCIM market, and will gain more ground as their reputation spreads. Most DCIM’s require extensive training, professional services, and lots of ongoing help.

We were able to get our CMDB up-to-date very quickly. The asset management team is very happy.

It has improved our level of service and support to our end users because of the ease of finding information quickly.

Great support team for help with installation and issues with certain OS discoveries. A lot of information is available without the requirement to deploy agents first.

Very easy to setup, excellent discovery options, good integration with other products and good support. They will find the root cause to issues, even if it takes time.

Overall, this is a good product. It does need a lot of attention to get it setup.

So setting it up and get it up and going does require quite a bit of work. Circuit LAG doesn't really work.

They had some interesting features, i like the rest API and the link to Jira. They did seem very strong in the integration department.

Which let you do everything from JDisc without installing anything on the systems themselves. The only drawback is the time you need to configure it and the mistakes you can make.

There is no need to customize JDisc for retrieving information, we do not need at a certail stage. But we have the posibility to.

At the end of the day JDISC is a real time-saver and watchguard over your networks changes in structure and configuration. I stopped looking at workplace systems.

The user interface is well designed, intuitive and very responsive. Data that has been gathered is in good shape and correct.

Support adds unknown SNMP devices within weeks when providing snmp-walks. With the available API and reports, JDisc fills a Configuration Management Database very well.

And we want to get automatically new devices into it. This tool saves nearly 1,5 personal ressource for mantaining the cmdb.

JDisc gets really good, accurate and reliable data; generally beyond what I have seen in other tools.
