  • Pros

  • The documentation is comprehensive and useful. Trialing the software was easy and seamlessly without notable impact on our servers, so you should defenetly give this a try.
  • We've found it to be very useful in root cause analysis and troubleshooting network issues. The support staff are amazing and cannot be recommended enough.
  • In addition, the web interface is quite slick now. The backend performance (I'm using SQL Server) is fantastic and the site is very responsive.
  • Cons

  • I spent some time over the next few weeks tweaking the settings to tune out some of the "errors" that are really routine events and also correcting problems that we were previously unaware of.
  • My organization wouldn't be caught dead without EventSentry because it takes so much of the manual burden off managing servers and other critical applications.
  • Coming back to the product after just a couple of years, I was shocked at the number of new features that have been added.

  • The ease of initial setup along with the app market for add ons makes this a great product. Couple this with their support and it is so simple and great to use.
  • For me it is a very good experience. It is necessary to develop a good implementation of IT INC Management.
  • If you need real-time grokking into your infrastructure, look no further than Splunk. I love love love the dashboards.
  • Cons

  • For Non technical users, its really difficult to lookup logs. Sometimes, error thrown by query builder is more difficult to understand.
  • There are times in which the service experienced performance issues. Sometimes they were so severe which meant you're "blind" since you can't access your logs.
  • I do not have any cons for this software. Mainly as a user it does exactly what I need it to do with no overhead and confusing interfaces.
