Overall pretty good, support was always responsive and helpful, I moved to Sprout but I wish I had stayed with Planable and given it more of a chance

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Relatively simple and easy to use, unlimited user accounts and easy approval process included in the subscription.

#### Cons

I didn’t like the way there is a limitation on the number of “posts” you can make. And the posts are multiplied but the number of channels you use. Also a “post” is deducted even when you create a draft, regardless of whether the post actually goes live.

#### Reasons for switching to Planable

I needed a platform with more features for posting content, such as pushing content to a phone to post direct to a social platform

It improved my approval workflow as it was a complete mess to keep track of everything via email, sheets, etc. This is a real problem solver, and it does it in a really fancy way.

#### Cons

The instagram publishing is via notification via de app, not direct publishing.

I love it! So easy to use, easy to learn! I love the options for scheduling! It actually helps make my marketing tasks on social media more enjoyable as well!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love that I can manage all my social media content in one place and it's easy to use!

#### Cons

I didn't like that I had to create a facebook page in order to link my instagram account. I don't use facebook so it was just a hassle because I had to go out of my way to create a facebook page just so my business instagram page could be linked, since instagram is owned by facebook.

#### Reasons for choosing Planable

The price was a better bang for my buck and I was already comfortable with planable so didn't want to have to learn a new software. Also, my business coach highly recommended planable.

### Great Visual Look When Planning Out Content; Stinks with IG Scheduling

- Overall rating: 4/5

It was really great until the Instagram snag. So many other social media schedulers are offering IG scheduling that Planable seems a little disappointing now, even though I really like their interface and visual components.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

I really love the visual look of this software compared to Buffer or Hootsuite. When you plan out your SM content, it takes you to a page that looks like your social media profiles complete with a cover photo. You can also add team members to your account and even allow your clients (if you have clients) to overlook the scheduled posts before they're published with limited account access.

#### Cons

The Instagram scheduling hands down. They now have a feature that you can connect a Buffer account to your Planable to post to your IG feed that way (can we say cumbersome?), but I've ran into too many issues with this...plus, you're limited to only several accounts...Unless you want to pay Buffer for an upgrade and then, what's the point of paying for Planable? If you publish to a number of IG accounts, this is a huge drawback. Not to mention, even the limit I was stuck with had problems with scheduling. I've since had to go elsewhere for scheduling to IG.

#### Reasons for choosing Planable

I'm actually using Social Champ a little more now. Their interface isn't quite as nice, but they are awesome with IG scheduling and even Pinterest scheduling--a HUGE score for us! If Planable does better with these options, I'll start using them again.

#### Reasons for switching to Planable

#### Vendor response

Hey Michael, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We've implemented Instagram direct publishing earlier this year, in January, and you can now publish the same posts you would through Buffer directly through Planable. As long as you have an Instagram Business account linked to a Facebook page, you can easily "authorize" any Instagram page you previously connected in Planable and you'll be able to directly publish posts. You can read more about this here: https://help.planable.io/en/articles/4842200-instagram-publishing Please reach out to us in the chat in the app or at hello@planable.io if you need any assistance setting things up. As for Pinterest, it's definitely one of the platforms we're considering adding some time in the future.

### BYNK Planable Review

- Overall rating: 4/5

Overall Planable has definitely streamlined our approval process with clients. It is very easy to use, however, it is expensive considering that it doesn't have strong posting capabilities and there are glitches in how we view/post.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

I love this software for its team collaboration capabilities. We manage social for clients and this makes it extremely easy to get feedback and edits on posts. It is very straight forward to use and we love that there are multiple ways to view your feed, especially flipping between calendar and grid!

#### Cons

There are a few key areas I think could definitely be improved. 1. The posting capabilities of Planable are very limited. With our previous app, we were able to schedule images, videos and carousels to go up automatically. We did have to manually set up reels, but the notification system worked well, where as with Planable, there have been occasions that we did not receive a notification and our post failed to go up(for carousels and reels) and sometimes even regular images that are not 1x1 format are sent through push notification rather than automatically posted. 2. I also think it would be great to be able to upload multi slide stories (similar to how you show a carousel). We are unable to add stories for approval through Planable because since you can only upload one slide at a time, we can't ensure it is in the right order. 3. Lastly, we have had some viewing issues when using Planable. For some reason, when using Chrome, our grid view is out of order, with Safari it is fine. Also through the mobile app, it reverses the order so new posts in grid view appear at the top, rather than following from the bottom.

#### Reasons for switching to Planable

We made the switch due to the team collaboration opportunities Planable offers. We do prefer the posting capabilities of Sked.

#### Vendor response

Hey Kate! Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with other interested users. We're always looking to improve the overall experience in Planable, for example, the way to create and plan stories. All the while keeping our focus on making social media collaboration as easy and seamless as possible. Regarding the grid view, that can easily be set from the "Filter & Sort" option. Checking "Last Scheduled" will arrange them in the same way as they appear on Instagram.

### A premium service, but well worth the cost!

- Overall rating: 5/5

It's a huge time saver for posting. Much easier to write out copy and go make editing updates before they go live. And the user interface is so much more visual, cleaner and simpler than any other software platforms I've used for this before. There are a ton of options how to view your feed ahead of time. I also love the comment feature with colleagues - although I personally don't have a use for it, it's great to know I've got it. I had to reach out to support twice and both times they were beyond helpful and responsive.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love the UI of viewing the platforms in grid, feed or calendar. It makes it SO easy to visualize your feed a few weeks at a time and the software is very intuitive and user-friendly.

#### Cons

I would love if it was easier to add and drop different platforms after they've been scheduled. Versus having to repost or compose again. For instance, if you posted to LinkedIn and Instagram and wanted to go in later and add Facebook, it would be great to hit a plus button and be done with it! I had to unlink and re-link our FB account to Plannable due to a FB page error and I lost all of the 20-30 pre-planned FB posts, it wasn't so easy to get them back without re-work.

#### Reasons for choosing Planable

The ease of use of Plannable, the visual layout, and all the options that make life easier. Plannable is a higher cost as we live in Canada and the exchange rate adds approx $20-25 to every bill. But its been worth the rate so far.

#### Reasons for switching to Planable

The ease of use of Plannable, the visual layout, and all the options that make life easier.

Exclent interface, easy to deploy, Excelent iOS app that brings the flexibility to us as agency and to our clients to communicate or approve future post.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

The great implementation of scheduling post on social media channels, the great look and feel, and the app is well build. Great tool overall

#### Cons

One of the things that keep me for paying for planable at first when I use the trial is the lack of a report tool and not able to post to Google Business, this are the features that we need, I know that planable has been focusing on great schedule, aproval and publishing, but having the same level of report and adding Google busines would be great for us as clients. Also not able to have some small tools to repost some publication not just one time.

#### Reasons for choosing Planable

The great experience to work schedule posts, the easy way to communicate, the great handle of files, great experience with the mobile app. We really need a tool that can help us with report and also that gives us the oportunity to post to Google Business, we hope that you can implement soon this options. Google business would be great to have it first.

#### Reasons for switching to Planable

CS had a problem with their iOS App, it didn't show any post scheduled and it appear to us that it was not in their radar until we sent the email asking for the problem. We choose CS over planable that moment because they have report and we can publish to Google Business.

#### Cons

No ability to add songs or collaborators to posts, which I would have to go into instagram to edit but then the post gets devalued in the algorithm.

Overall it was a fantastic experience. I liked the UI and the ease with which I could schedule reels.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Its very easy to schedule Instagram reels on Planable. I also liked the feature of generating caption, hashtags and adding first comment. Its also very inexpensive. It doesn't take much time to learn it.

#### Cons

When I was trying to add Custom Thumbnail from Media Library, I was not able to search the media by the name. E.g. I had uploaded images with numbers as their names. But whenever I wanted to select an image, I had to select Unused Media and then manually find the image by visually searching for the image number. Instead if I could type say "97" in a search bar in my case and it showed only that image, it could have saved some time and effort.

#### Pros

How clean and easy it is to schedule and edit social media posts in advance. The platform is designed intuitively and is simple to use.

#### Cons

It would be better if it was a bit cheeper. If it was about 20-30% cheeper it would be more accessible to not for profits, charities, artists, and other independent projects and small business.

I have had a great user experience with Planable..I've tried a ton of others and so far this is my favorite user and cost wise.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

This platform is great! I purchased the Starter Plan and I am able to manage my 5 clients' accounts within my workspace! I like that I am able to select the accounts I want to view at the top ( I can select as few as one or as many as I'd like) I love that I can include a first comment for posts in which I include my IG hashtags in. There are multiple ways you can view your workspace (Feed, List, Calendar, etc) which is super helpful and makes it easy for everyone that likes to see things differently. I am able to add my clients so that they can go in and look at what's scheduled and approve. There is also a Media Libabry that you can upload to so that you don't have to go back and forth within your own personal files to find the right image once you've uploaded everything!

#### Cons

The only thing that is tricky is having to integrate with Buffer for my IG posts to post automatically. If you don't integrate you have to click the notification that comes through on your phone (which automatically brings you to create an IG post and copies the image and copy for you) and then you post from there. So it's an additional step but still user friendly. I also have noticed that when I try to bulk post content it's hard to customize it based on each account. I.e. if I add the same content for an account to be scheduled to IG, FB and Twitter, I cant use the same image for Twitter sometimes or If I have a post that is suitable for Facebook, I can't change the IG copy to say the same thing but include "Link in bio" without creating a separate post for that platform. This is what makes creating monthly calenders reallllly time-consuming. I also notice that if I want to add hashtags to the first comment on IG posts but only have hashtags in the copy for Facebook posts, it will pick either or and apply it to both Facebook and IG which isn't ideal.

#### Reasons for choosing Planable

I really liked the setup of this platform and after undergoing the trial I felt it was worth it to purchase the Starter version.

#### Reasons for switching to Planable

Too expensive and I couldn't add as many accounts

- Love the calendar view. I can see what's getting posted, where it's being posted, and when it's getting posted - I was able to onboard my VA quickly and she started posting new content right away - The review process for new social posts is so much better now with Planable. I can make edits, provide suggestions to my VA, and feel confident that the content I want to be posted is posted - Regular updates! I've seen at least 3 new updates in the last month. - Product development roadmap looks promising and developers are open to new ideas and suggestions :)

#### Cons

- Tagging features a still a little buggy and causes the site to lag or not load the correct Facebook page - Evergreen posting not available...yet (it's coming soon) - No way to prevent a scheduled post from being published if it is not approved - I always forget to set a scheduled time because time scheduling feature is located below the calendar when scheduling the date --> would like to see these separated

I would say what I liked the most about Planable was the look and feel as well as the ease of use. No other tool matches Planable in how slick, organized and aesthetically-pleasing it is. Giving and receiving comments couldn't be easier, and you can clearly see the feedback given on every post. I also liked how the platforms are separated by tabs in order not to confuse things up and also to keep the posts organized. Their customer care team is very helpful and highly responsive, which is something you always need when subscribing to a tool.

#### Cons

Even though it's great in terms of look and feel and organization, the same can't be said about the features. Especially because Planable carry a similar price tag of other tools which have a lot more features. Calendar view, asset library, a space for ideas and an app are among the many features that the tool needs to have before asking users for that price. However, the team seems to be open to ideas and they also want to apply all the features that could help the users more in the near future so I'll say that I'll definitely be considering Planable again once these features are there.

#### Pros

I was looking for a solution to review the remote team's social posting but one that would give me the full essence of what those posting would look and voila, Planable to the rescue. Beat Hootsuite, Buffer and others to the selection. It gives me an overall calendar view of the planned and posted social postings, authority to approve and edit social postings. When you schedule a posting with images, even if they are website image cards, you get to see exactly how that would look like in the correspondent social channel. As we have a distributed social media management team across timezones, this has made my job as marketing manager of that team and its activities on social media ever so simple. Simply amazing

#### Pros

Planable has really streamlines our team's communications when it comes to scheduling and approving social media posts. First, we are a decentralized team and everyone is all over the globe. Planable helps us schedule posts without logging and in and out of the social accounts all of the time and dealing with pesky verification codes when a different team member logs in. Secondly, when we are training newbies, we are able to use the handy-dandy approval mechanism to ensure all social posts meet our client standards. Planable is a game changer.

#### Cons

The only thing I wish was different about Planable is that I wish it had Instagram publication options. I know they're working on it, though!

### We have had a good experience with planable so far. We like the fresh interface.

The benefit of having a nice visual calendar with an approval workflow has been the main reason that we use the software. Also, the ability to auto post to Facebook and other platforms.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

The fresh interface and the visual calendar. The ability to see all of the posts on one calendar has been fantastic. I like the collaboration feature to work with clients and have them approve posts.

#### Cons

The software just needs more features. The ability to post on Instagram with the new algorithm change Instagram has opened up auto posting to business accounts. This is something that you need to keep up with the competition. The ability to have a library of content and integration with dropbox/Google Drive and maybe even unsplash or Canva would be excellent features! Also, the ability to save captions/hashtags in a library that would be searchable would be another great feature! The software is good but with some more features it could be excellent! Also, the mobile version is very difficult to use. The addition of an App for IOS and Google Play would be a huge deal.

Management of clients' social media accounts.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Planable has clean integration with the most popular social media platforms. It's nice that it emulates the individual feeds so that you can preview how the posts will appear on the platforms and to your followers. Separating workspaces for different brands/companies and having user permissions management per workspace allows for a scalable agency solution, but it's a fully featured solution for a single workspace as well. Separate approval/scheduling actions allow your team to develop a workflow that is appropriate for internal or client use.

#### Cons

Planable lacks any advanced content or growth features that other services offer, such as evergreen content management or follower tools, though these are not a space that Planable is directly competing in. I would perhaps like to see more engagement analytics implemented if possible, as Planable is a good platform to engage clients within regarding approval and potentially reporting of their social media posts as well.
