SocialPilot is a cloud-based social media marketing and analytics solution for businesses of all sizes. It offers calendar management, branding, scheduling, client management and reporting functionalities within a suite. Android and iOS apps available.

SocialPilot integrates with social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram and Pinterest. The software features bulk scheduling, which allows users to create and schedule posts across different social media accounts from a single portal.

SocialPilot also offers a calendar feature, which allows users to track social media posts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Users can apply filters to the calendar and view posts by accounts and groups. The calendar interface allows users to drag and drop posts to reschedule them.

Users can also track metrics for the performance of social media campaigns for each website, such as content engagement, audience growth, demographics, influencers and competitors.

Helped to reduce the time I needed to put towards running social media, allowing me to focus on other projects and hence - saving money!

Pros

I got the year long subscription and use this for about 6 months before switching. My Social media manager used it very well to post to all my accounts. I enjoyed a lot of the bulk uploading and scheduling.

Cons

IN the end I ended up getting a better deal with another Social media manager that made me swap. If I did not get that better deal I would have stayed with them.

Cons

Price a bit too high for anything or anyone without an income bringing business. Also, the UI was a bit dull and not too inviting

Excellent inexpensive social media tool.

Pros

- You can connect a lot of profiles from different social media accounts.
- The analytics are really useful
- quite inexpensive, compared with other similar tools

Cons

- no instagram posting
- in a team, you cannot comment on a post already made, to make exchanges
- I am having a lot of problems posting in facebook profiles.

Detailed analytics that are insightful and easy to understand. So that's my favorite feature by far!

Pros

I've been using Social Pilot for a few weeks now (after using Hootsuite for years), and I gotta say that I'm impressed! What I like most are their ANALYTICS - by far. They save me a lot of time, they're detailed, and the reports are easy for me and my clients to read and understand. Their browser extension tool is also helpful too!

Cons

My least favorite thing about Social Pilot is that you're not able to tag businesses/handles when scheduling posts. So I don't schedule posts through them very often. However.... when I contacted their support team, I was notified that they're working on this and plan to have that changed soon! So when that happens, you'll be good to go.

About tagging people on Facebook, Kristyn this feature will now not be available on any third party tool, as Facebook has made certain changes in their API policy recently and we unfortunately had to stop working on this feature as we didn't have access anymore.

SocialPilot is very straightforward, no frills in sight. It connects to all the major social media platforms and let's you share a post to several profiles/pages while still being able to customise the content for each channel. You can either add content to an automated schedule or you can define the time and day manually. It also makes it easy to post content several times over a longer period of time.

Cons

The user interface could be more intuitive, the most often used features are not always easy to get to.

I saved money on it and get much better features from it.

Pros

I like the comprehensive calendar view of all the content going out and the fact that it's easy to add to. I also love the Curated Content section.

Cons

That it doesn't notify you when a queue is empty or when a contributor has posted something. I also don't like that I set up posting times but I never get a chance to use them. It seems odd.

SocialPilot saves time and resources by allowing bulk uploading and scheduling of posts. Clients feel involved and given a sense of ownership (for those who want this level of participation), by seeing how their information is being managed.

Pros

Easy to use, no unnecessary learning curve for managers, team members, and customers due to the design of the user interface. Set up and scheduling can take place immediately, once an account has been created. Less bulky as some of its competitors.

Cons

Perhaps there are too many benefits in the sense that clients could possibly learn how to perform social media marketing software and decide they could do their own work without the need for a freelancer. Otherwise, this software functions as described.

Time saving, and help with curated content.

Pros

I like that you can post to many different sites from one place. It is nice to be able to integrate with Rebrandly and saves us time. The curated content is helpful when struggling to come up with content.

Cons

It seems to have a lot of errors when posting to LinkedIn and does not shorten the rebrandly links as well as it used to.

I like how you can set up a queue for each of your social media sites. I never have to worry about when my next content will be posted, it just follows along with the schedule I set up in my queue.

I love that I can use multiple social media accounts, and have to log in far less than I had to my social media accounts.

Cons

It was difficult to get Instagram to work on the program. I logged in multiple times and for some reason had a lot of trouble.

One of the huge reasons that I signed up for Social Pilot is the built-in curated content. This integration allows for you to get curated content from all over the internet. This can save you a ton of time. Also, the ease of creating groups so you can easily post to multiple channels at the same time.

Cons

After creating the content for all channels, it would be nice if there was a step that would allow you to customize the content for each channel rather than having to do it one at a time or go back in a change content after you have scheduled it.

I'm able to really improve our social media presence and reach.

Pros

Scheduling is easy. I like how facebook and twitter posts are published by the program automatically. I also like the idea of having curated content available...however i think that it is stupid that I cannot use the search bar. I also like how I can use it from my phone which is very easy

Cons

i find it extremely inconvenient that instagram posts are not published automatically and that I need to do it from the app.

I also don't like how I can't schedule multiple pictures for either instagram or facebook. (especially when you are able to post multiple on the actual programs)

Finally, I think that it is ridiculous that I can have access to curated content...and not be able to search for it. It's very cheap of social pilot to do that especially when I pay for it. I shouldn't have to double the money out of my pocket to use the search bar. It's absolutely ridiculous.

The search box is a premium feature Delaney, so you will have to upgrade for it's usage and also Instagram has a restricted API so it doesn't allow any third party tool like SocialPilot to post directly to it. This is something Instagram handles and not in our hands.

We have recently released the multiple image posts feature on your dashboard. Please check to post multiple images to the supported platforms right from the SocialPilot dashboard.

The RSS post feature is great! I like that it doesn't limit you to 2 feeds and you have the ability to pull from your feeds as much as every hour.

Cons

Manually picking times for each day is cumbersome. Would be easier if you could multiple apply times across the week or multiple days.

Pros

I enjoy that I can add my clients in, I can do an RSS feed and that I can email customer service and have them reply right away.

Cons

The phone app works well but does take up memory. When I look through the posts scheduled it can be confusing, maybe if each box was a little bit bigger.

The ability to use it for XING is my main benefit. It's a no-brainer for the German-speaking market.

Pros

For me, it's very handy that I can also schedule posts in XING as well as LinkedIn as I am targeting the German-speaking market.

Cons

It's quite uncool that you cannot schedule any videos in the free version.
You have to get used to media upload.

Being able to manage multiple social media profiles with ease. Bring able to have staff accounts and invite clients to link their own social media profiles.

Pros

The software is great to use, main features we like are: the ease of navigation, analytics feature, the ease of managing multiple profiles and integrating them to the system, ability to invite clients to link their own accounts and recently the export of analytics in PDF format.

Cons

The system in general is great, however, there are a few features that could be added, which are: being able to add multiple photos on Facebook, the ability to have 100% white label for agencies and having a client area so they can login and see their analytics at anytime.

I can do all my Social Media scheduling in one place and be done with it. Before using Social Pilot I used several different services for scheduling various social media posts and it took me a lot of time and was difficult to keep track of.

The reason about some of your posts not getting shared may be due to the settings of posts be shown to Friends/ Public/ Only Me.
So when connecting a profile/page/group please make sure you choose "Public" as the setting options.
