Yotpo is a cloud-based content marketing platform for e-commerce businesses that enables users to collect user-generated content and use the content to build a brand and manage the customer experience. The integrated solution lets brands collect, curate, manage and respond to user-generated content. It leverages customer reviews and photos throughout the buyer journey to increase trust with the customers. Users can combine reviews and photos with customized display options to improve brand visibility. They can also highlight customer content in marketing campaigns to increase search visibility among relevant shoppers.

Yotpo monitors e-commerce sites’ search engine optimization (SEO) rankings and social media channels. It offers content marketing features such as email marketing, marketing automation and analytics, social marketing, marketing resource management and search and mobile marketing. The solution helps users understand what customers think about their products and identify opportunities to improve customer experience.

Integrations include Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce and WooCommerce. Pricing is per month. Support is provided via knowledge base.

I wasn't able to figure out exactly how the mail after purchase specifically works at first until I asked for information.

Pros

There are so many things to remember when I'm doing anything for a new product on my site. Heck, half the time I forget to post a pic on social media or even a good link. Yotpo really helps with all that stuff and has made my life a lot easier. Being fairly cheap helps as well.

Cons

I wish the toolset was a little more expansive, but it does what it says it will and so I can't fault the program too much for that.

Disappointing to say the least

The CEO admitted they had been focused elsewhere and not on customer success (which is what they proclaimed as their value driver in the sales process). He was brave and opened himself up for all sorts of comments in a New Years blog in 2017. It's worth checking out if you haven't read it yet. I wish them well - lots of excellent people at this company and I hope they and their customers are enabled for success going forward. We still feel ripped off though so buyer beware. Check them out and make a conservative decision is what we'd do if we had it to do again. No references = no deal!

Pros

Good ideas about user generated content.
Partnership webinar was excellent by YOTPO rep - got us really excited about using it.
Having an assigned account manager to 'ensure' you are successful.

Cons

We paid for the first year and got zero in return. We were able to get a refund, but after that YOTPO wouldn't budge. We knew the investment was costly and risky, but everyone there assured us we would see huge increases in sales. How about any? - I would now say. I think they have dropped their pricing. They offered to drop our subscription. Sounds good but when divided by the value, it's still not a deal we want to entertain.

Bottom line: I love this app. It's SUPER easy to install and set up, and is one of the few apps I've used that has over-delivered on its claims. It makes my store seem more professional, and adds an element of trust to my product pages, leading to more sales.

Cons

I honestly haven't found any cons yet... well, the price could be less, but with how much it's boosting my sales, it offsets the price.

We receive more feedback with Yotpo than we would with other review software. Customers can leave their review in the email they receive without having to click over to another site or page. The reviews go directly to our site and we are notified of each review.

Cons

The back end of the program is a bit hard to use in terms of responding to dissatisfied customers and finding the review you want to respond to.

It's a nice looking interface on the front and back end. It really looks quite professional, even for a few products.

Cons

I wish the free version gave you more options, but I know they have to make a living. I think they give you plenty for no cost.

This is one of the best platforms to help ecommerce vendors to easily request and collect reviews from customers.

Cons

The pricing can be a bit steep and may not be feasible for many smaller ecommerce owners. It also can be slow to load so it can make sites slower.

Also, they make it amazingly simple to give a review and works perfectly with email campaigns! There is no rival in review software for my clients.

Cons

The load time is the reason I will not load it onto one of my sites. I need it to load super fast. The other issue is pricing. I like they have growth plans but still more affordable would be great!

More reviews mean more credibility. We mix up Yotpo review and Google trusted store review and it proves we have better sales than before. Controlling review is not easy, but it's easier than ever with Yotpo. Their dashboard and the moderate system is easy to handle and very intuitive.

Pros

Have to say Yotpo is truly our best on site app.. I believe the customers like/read/trust the reviews. Yotpo has become a major part of our day to day customer engagement strategy. I love that new features are constantly being added. Their customer service is top notch. This app offers a heck of a lot of great features for the low price of free. You need to pay more if you want to use more features, but every penny worth. The cost is high for a business of our size, but I think after a year or so we will see the results of peer to peer reviews. Give it a shot.

Cons

Picture update feature updated so far, but the problem is pricing. As fa as I know, it could be too much for the companies on their starting phase. Adding this feature for special package or something will be better to try it. I might be wrong, but they really have to give chances for users who keep using Yotpo, for example more than 1 year or 2 years.

I really loved how we were able to display out customer's reviews

Pros

I really like the way Yotpo integrated with our website. It allowed our customers to display fantastic photo reviews of their products. Our customers actually responded saying that they loved that they could see our products on real customers

Cons

There were some limitations to the software but non that we weren't able to overcome. I would happily use Yotpo even with a few limitations here and there.

It makes my client's money every day and increases engagement. It makes me look good every time I recommend it and Yotpo is a great company to deal with.

Pros

Yotpo is easy to install if you're using a major eCommerce cart provider like Magento, Shopify, etc. There are some other copy cats out there that promise the world but they have all fallen short or simply miss things. I'm using the incentive coupons to get more reviews with some clients and it's awesome. The review moderation is easy to use, makes sense and we use it every day. As an eCommerce consultant I recommend Yotpo to all my clients and see the results first hand.

Cons

Yotpo can be a powerful tool in the right hands. It has a ton of features and you can get lost during setup on which are the most important.

Our torpor account manger really tried to help a month before renewal time. I did not have another positive thing to say.

Cons

The biggest benefit is sales.

Pros

The best part of the software is that not only does it collect reviews but it sends out the emails automatically and can post directly to social media.

Cons

The worst part about the software is the cost . It seems like 5k+ per year is a little bit of an overkill for essentially a email marketing company.
