It works very well and is not "clunky". Support is good and reporting options are great.

SMX needs updated EHR program
Mediocre - I have used multiple EHR programs over many years and this is my least favorite for features. Employees are always nice and try to help.
PROSEase of use of the program. Friedly staff.
CONSFeatures: Unable to have a tasks list, care gaps screen updates, determinates page, does not interface with a lot of companies or cost to interface is too expensive, no functioning CCM program with Care plans, unable to send attachments to patients from portal. Forms take a lot of time to update or add. reports takes to long to pull or mostly unable to pull accurate info needed.

Easy to Use
We are pleased with our overall experience with this product. It really has been tailored to the needs of allergy and asthma specialists. It does accommodate what we need to accomplish on a daily basis. The rep that we have is amazing. She will come on site and train us on new features that can benefit us tremendously. She does not pressure us to add any features that costs a lot of money. She just lets us know what they do and how much it costs, and then leaves it up to us. We really appreciate people who do not pressure us to purchase additional products.
PROSThis product is very easy to use. We did not have much trouble learning how to use all the features. We when hire new employees, they pick it up just as quickly. The schedule and the money features (keeping up with money owed and money collected, insurance balances, etc.) are excellent features.
CONSThe thing we like least about the product is the updates. When updates are done, it seems to disrupt everything. Changes will be made that we are unaware of and we don't know how to proceed. We have to stop and call them, they put in a ticket and then someone gets back with us about the matter. It really disrupts the flow of clinic. You can't just call and have someone answer your question, either. It's rather frustrating.

Medical Practice Review
This software was used in a previous group practice and was easier to flow over into new private practice with same software. Unfortunately, we opened right as COVID was shutting everything down so software training for areas outside of our norm wasn't "normal"
CONSThe insurance verifying software isn't working as well as in the past. When you are in a phone message, you cannot open other windows to send meds etc. the time between windows is a very, very long lag time. That issue is not directly our office. this happened in the previous practice as well as with our billing office. It is also a very long lag when the dr is trying to code. Seconds count in a practice
Reason for choosing EHR Solutions
We chose Systemedx again, because it was used in previous group practice and for the pricing. The customer support is helpful, and we can actually speak to a person or have a goto meeting.

Working with claims
Its nice to be able to see all your claims and what is being paid or denied, the totalsof the claims and the amount of the money coming in.
PROSthis software is pretty easy to use if everyone is working together at the start to make sure everything looks like you want it in each area of the office, such as are all the orders & dx's coming over that you need. l like that it has a support area for help on issues you might need. its easy to navigate. I really like the claims worksheet that is offers. their software is reliable & customer service is great.
CONSsetup was a little confusing for me because i'd never done anything like it before and most of it had to be figured out from printouts. It would be nice to be able to add toa closed claim if something was left off in order to refile. when taking a payment bycredit card it opens to many windows between Systemedx & Instamed.

you had no idea where all your money really was or if it was be applied correctly. they sometimes wrote off claims without are knowledge. their customer service was terrible, they didn't understand most of the time what you where talking about. software difficult to use.

SMX review
Very good. We accomplish all our goals with the system my only complaint is reports.
PROSOne of the most intuitive systems I have used. Easy to use no matter the skill level of the user.
CONSThe only thing I have real issues with is the reports. I feel like there should be easier ways to obtain reports and set them up.

Office Manager Review
We have had a good experience with EHR solutions. We could use more training as I feel there are a lot of things we still do not understand and that could be set up to make things easier for us.
PROSIt is relatively easy to learn and is a good price.
CONSThere are some improvements that would make seeing patients easier. Also, obtaining patient reports for different things could be made a lot easier to set up and access.

Great Customer Support
Other than insurance claim posting, I feel the system is quite user friendly. However, my experience is mainly with the business side of the system. I have no experience with the clinical aspect.Customer support is always very helpful and usually done in a timely fashion.
PROSEasy access from screen to screen applications.
CONSInsurance claim posting requires a lot of mouse clicks and could be designed better. Cumbersome posting application considering a medical clinic has hundred to thousands of payments to post monthly. Also, patient accounts receivable can be confusing due to how payments are applied.

The scheduling and forms design. I like how we can put all claims in one batch. User friendly.
CONSThe font is terrible since the last upgrade. Flowsheets could work better. Reporting is a NIGHTMARE!!! Uploading the fee schedule can be a pain and not calculate correctly.

The ease of using the system. The reports for month end were custom written for our practice.
CONSNothing really comes to mind. SystemedX has worked very hard to help us implement new products available and helped interface with various outside labs.

Systemedx
While working with the Instamed Clearinghouse has been challenging, I know that its a superb product and will give us much more capabilities once we have completed the transition.
PROSI like that the company is local and I feel like we have a relationship. I also feel like they want to work on making SMX a better product by keeping up with competitive EHRs.
CONSThere seem to be a lot of bugs and glitches.
