This company is privately and as far as I know has no plans to become public which I really appreciate and find important. Additionally, they have pledged to not use user data to train AI models. During the Change Healthcare cyber attack Therapy Notes was absolutely fantastic and within a month were already pivoting to a new clearninghouse. Every step of the way they communicated to their users exactly what was happening and what the plans were. #### Cons Nothing! I have truly never had a bad experience with Therapy Notes. I spent hours going back and forth between TherapyNotes and Medicaid, and was completely lost on why I wasn't being reimbursed by this payer. Not only did she demonstrate excellent customer service skills, a kind/patient demeanor, and empathetic listening, but she also made sure a plan was in place before ending the call. What you pay for this program gives you more than value for your money. It gives you peace of mind. The customer support is incredible. You get the talk to real people, not AI. The app is easy to use and you can start the same day you start working away seamlessly. It is always updating with great new features and the ones already there make your life so much easier! When there are any bugs, they are always there to listen and make it right immediately. I always know when there is a problem because the client support system they have keep you on the loop. Their reports are no nonsense. You get what you want and if you can't find it, call them. Someone will literally answer and get you what you need. When I opened my own therapy practice, I started with Therapy Notes since I was familiar with the platform and generally liked them. I found the support team very helpful in getting me setup. TherapyNotes was easy for both me and my clients to use which was a plus. The biggest reason I ultimately chose a different platform was because I wanted more freedom and flexibility with my documentation such as intake paperwork and notes. TherapyNotes support desk is the absolute best I have ever encountered in any capacity or task. TN makes it easy to expand your practice and grow in ways that need business support without taking away from clinical time. I love the ability to give some transparency to the therapist that chose to work in my group. TN really makes running a large group practice possible without breaking the bank or losing clinical time (or my mind). #### Cons That every issue I have to call support desk for is a USER ERROR!!!! Therapy Notes is very user friendly on both ends and I hear positive reviews from my clients. I also appreciate that the intake forms and progress notes are efficient and can be poulated with past notes. The customer service is excellent. The wait time is minimal, the team member is always helpful and professional, and so far every question that I've had has been answered quickly. I don't accept insurance but issuing a superbill only takes a few clicks. I haven't tried any other programs but I recommend Therapy Notes all the time. #### Cons I wish that Therapy Notes had an app for myself and my clients. The scheduling is easy and the software is very user friendly. #### Cons The billing is always a nightmare no matter which software is used. However, I would like TherapyNotes to find a more user friendly way to bill multiple insurances and a better way to be able to easily see which has been billed and what has been paid. Currently when entering new information such as insurance ID, addresses, phone numbers, payments,....once a new one is entered the old information goes away. #### Reasons for choosing TherapyNotes, LLC The reviews were great! Also, when speaking with the sales team they were very helpful and clear on the cost. The training was effective as well. Most of all TherapyNotes seems to understand that this part of our job (notes, billing, etc) is not the main part of our job. So, the customer service aspect was appealing in case issues came up that we needed help resolving. The customer service team does not disappoint! We did find that some features could not be customized for specialized documenation. The pricing for this is affordable but to have other features you have to pay the upcharge which was inconvienent. A real person, not an chatbot that can only answer concrete questions, no language barriers or "boxed" answers sending you down a rabbit hole. A real person responds quickly with simple and easy to implement instructions on any issue. I am not tech savvy and have never had any problems implementing all aspects of this platform. It is obvious they take client care seriously. I am able to reach a live person whenever I have tried and all of my emails are answered within a few hours to the next day. #### Cons Here is what I would like improved:1. Allow for recording of teletherapy sessions. This is vital for organizations with interns under supervision and individual practitioners attempting to gain certification in specialty areas.2. Make a more precise window for notifying patients of upcoming scheduled sessions. If the agency charges for appointments canceled within 24 hours, notification should come 25 hours before the scheduled appointment.3. It is an ever evolving therapist oriented office support platform and I have always found it to be helpful. I am struggling with it, at this time however, because I am having to (at 53 y.o) learn how to do my own billing and am often lost in these very spooky woods alone. I need a billing professional connected with my efforts to submit and track my billing, do reconciliations, or a long, in-depth training with a staff member who can teach this to me. It is my weakness but I need this to be able to have full reliance upon the software. I simply wish to see clients and find a way to automate everything else as smoothly as possible with very little difficulty. This issue set forced me into hiring Theranest as, with Theranest, I can operate how i do (in-paper chart Treatment Plan and Coping/Safety Plan; writing a process note and billing from that); Lack of ability to communicate with Google (via my iPad's) calendar is a very severe, serious, and ongoing frustration. #### Reasons for choosing TherapyNotes, LLC I did not want to write my own client record database again. I was new to the Apple I wanted, and needed, to have the ability to access client records and calendar on the go via the internet while moving around a 13 county area of service provision in Montana. This was 8+ years ago. I spoke with the gentleman who created the system when I called and thought that was great! He was very understanding and quite open with me about plans for future development which would be able to encompass my ideas for what I would ultimately want in a software package like this. So, I thought yo myself, why not support them? It was a great decision!!! I have not yet regretted it. The accounting features need a little human oversight but do a nice job of tracking what payments come in. Calls and emails with staff are incredibly helpful and they send emails with all the information they shared which I put into our staff and admin manuals #### Cons Getting the payments to match up with dates of service can sometimes be tricky and it doesn't always manage adjustments and other taxes clearly so I have a billing person keep track and manage it #### Reasons for choosing TherapyNotes, LLC More robust systems for all areas of my practice #### Reasons for switching to TherapyNotes, LLC Their customer service was terrible: "we can't fix your problem unless we can recreate it...and we can't" was said enough times to make my head explode!
