Almabase provides excellent value for our alumni
Almabase is at the center of our alumni strategy. The goal is to provide alumni with a high-quality, tangible benefit to grow their affinity for our school and inspire volunteering, fundraising and more. The Almabase team is great to work with — not only addressing questions and issues quickly, but being a partner in devising our strategies.
PROSProduct itself is super easy to use and the customer service is top-notch. Map feature is impressive and we have received great feedback from our alumni since launching recently. Almabase allows us to provide our alumni with a high-quality experience — keep them in touch, but also giving them networking/career opportunities they desire. The email functionality inside Almabase is so much better than other products like Constant Contact. We can easily segment and send communications by graduating class, location and more. The Engagement Snapshot is also a very useful tool — we can easily see how engaged our alumni are.
CONSNo complaints so far! We have thoroughly enjoyed our time with the Almabase team so far.

We had a much better experience with Almabase during our demo/trial period. The top-notch customer service really stood out! Also, Almabase has a more complete product — complete Raiser's Edge connectivity, interactive alumni map, full email capabilities, Engagement Snapshot, group functionality and more.

Almabase Review
We have had a wonderful relationship with Almabase and have our own personal account support manager that I touch base with twice per month to ensure high engagement and using the latest features.
PROSAlmabase provides a robust platform for engagement and interaction with our graduates. We currently have over 14,000 alums using Classmates.com and are starting to migrate to our platform. The ability to create "Pali Helping Pali" by promoting mentorship, job board, internships opportunities, and a business directory helps connect our alums with each other and with their alma mater.
CONSI would prefer a better dashboard when people land on our site. Everything is aligned vertically which makes scrolling down necessary to be able to see all the information. I would like to see each section bigger and aligned vertically so that optically it is more engaging.
Reason for choosing Almabase
Currently, price is a major consideration as our management sees this as an additional subscription fee and wants to see our funds utilized properly and effectively.

Almabase Alumni Software has transformed the way we interact with alumni
Overall just love it, we looked at other companies including Graduway, Almaconnect, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Mentor City, Alumni Channel, 360 Alumni and just so much more but we found Almabase to be the best option for the price, service, and functionality. As a small size school, we wanted an alumni network but knew that it wasn't going to have 10,000 alumni so they were able to work with us to find a pricepoint that was right for us.
PROSI love this software because it has many great features such as a giving platform which lets you organize campaigns for donations, an alumni map so you can see how big your alumni community has grown, the alumni database/directory which is so helpful for me to write notes/keep track of job placement/address information---it also syncs with Linkedin so when alumni get new jobs i don't have to manually add it. The customer service team is so helpful, they are available by email, chat, or phone and answer my questions almost immediately or within the day. There's also a job board for us to add jobs or alumni can add it too. There's also an email system so that's helpful. They even built me a student directory so students can have a profile too which we can transition into alumni accounts.
CONSNothing, it works great. We've been really happy with it.

Great for Re-Engaging Alumni
Our alumni are excited by the new ways they can engage with the school and each other, making it easier for us to be able to contact them about opportunities for them to help the school community through volunteering or fundraising, while offering them the types of events and activities that appeal to them.
PROSThis software helped us find new and needed ways for our alumni community to become re-engaged in the school, offering internship and job information, communication options through affinity groups, and more.
CONSThe software is still building on, adding features regularly, because they are so responsive to their client requests.
Reason for choosing Almabase
Pricing was better, customer service team was much more responsive to our questions and concerns, platform was much easier to navigate.

Great do-it-all product
For a small shop like ours, a product that could do it all for online alumni engagement and giving and at an affordable price was critical and Almabase provided that. The customer service team has been helpful and the organization seems well run and communicative between the sales team, client success managers, and engineers/product team.
PROSOut team appreciates the diversity of the features of Almabase - it includes alumni communities, alumni database, a mentoring platform, giving platform, event management, and much more. Many other products just did one or two of these well, but almabase has it all.
CONSSince we are trying to get the product to work for us in multiple ways and Almabase seems to be adding features frequently, there have been some growing pains with the product such as outages or bugs, but these have been minimal and the benefits outweigh the costs.

This product makes my job easy!
Overall, I enjoy this platform. It allows us the opportunity to engage alumni inside of the area and in states and regions outside of the DC Metro area. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is a guru when it comes to customer service and he makes everyone's day a bit easier when he's involved.
PROSI really enjoy the communities feature on the platform and the fact that it is customizable to the needs of the client. We opt for a lot of mentorship and this platform makes that easy.
CONSThere isn't much to dislike about the feature. Sometimes I can forget how to do things, but that's more of a personal issue

Almabase Alumni Platform
Very happy with the platform, and the team who helped us implement it. Super helpful, always there to answer questions and make suggestions. I couldn't have asked for a better group to help me get our new alumni network up and running.
PROSMost features were easy to use, and offered everything I needed to keep in touch with and communicate with our broad international alumni base. The platform enabled us to create an online alumni network that was alumni of all ages could access and use according to need.
CONSThe back end admin features, whilst relatively easy in comparison to other platforms, still require a little practice before getting the hang of everything!

Our Almabase Experience
We have been able to drastically reduce our overall printing and marketing costs related to alumni activities and events and rely now most heavily on communications and registrations through Almabase. This has helped us offset the annualized cost of the contract. By streamlining processes our team has been more efficient and been able to focus more on driving and encouraging attendance at events, overall engagement of our active alumni and more frequent communications from our campus.
PROSWe needed to provide a platform that would enable us to leverage our alumni network globally, and one that we felt would be the best fit for our users. Almabase seemed to be the best fit for our needs and we have been very successful with all models but most specifically with the Events Platform. It has provided real time tracking, registration and communications for our alumni engagement events.
CONSAs with all new databases and platforms, synchronization between our existing database and Almabase has presented a few challenges. Uploading our initial data took a few tweaks. Nothing that cannot be solved, just learning the best method and techniques to be the most efficient in this process is important.
Reason for choosing Almabase
Several components were factors, but we liked the alumni mapping tools, the ease of navigating the directory, the event module and integration with our existing database opportunities. We felt the pricing was reasonable, and that the onboarding team were all approachable. They have consistently offered assistance and we can email anytime with questions for support. Others we looked at did not give us the same sense of comfort.

More Alumni Engagement Opportunities & Helpful Customer Service
The platform has been helpful in connecting with alumni, and the customer service team is helpful and responsive.
PROSFeatures like a directory with a search by map feature, event registration and giving forms with clean design. We can add pages and create content easily. With Facebook/LinkedIn signups, integration with Raiser's Edge, and alumni able to update contact information on their profile, collecting contact data is more efficient. The team at Almabase is responsive with our questions, and helpful in making sure we are making the most of the product.
CONSWe would like the pages on Almabase to be more customizable and a news feed would be a great addition.

Fantastic Experience working with Almabase!
The functionality and user interface really brought Almabase to our attention. Since joining them we've been able to expand our annual appeals, alumni engagement, expand our parent auxiliary groups, but most importantly it has streamlined our communications and given us the ability to continue providing value to our alumni.
CONSThere are many incredible features included in the Almabase software, but one thing that could be improved is the customization of the community admin rights. Having a large class rep program at the school it is vital that our reps can communicate effectively with their classmates. Right now giving someone community admin rights gives them full rights to the communication center. It would be great to be able to limit this to just the person's class and a specific list of email templates. This would help both the site admin and the community admin.

Almabase platform and customer service is everything I was looking for!
When I became the alumni relations coordinator for Thomas Aquinas College, I immediately began searching for a replacement for a print alumni directory. This platform exceeded expectations in that it provides the directory service that I was looking for AND provides a full service engagement platform for all facets of alumni relations. From emails to events to chapters and more! Most of all though, the team at Almabase is 110% top notch. They are personable, responsive, and complete. Whether I have a question on hot to best use some functionality or have a suggestion from my users regarding improvements on the platform, the Almabase team is always helpful, thoughtful, and responsive. This customer support you enjoy speaking with!
CONSThere is little not to like. For myself, wearing multiple hats at our institution makes it difficult to use the product to its full potential. Also, our users are interested in sharing their directory information with each other, which is not a default setting. However, support has been very responsive regarding this feedback and we are working towards a solution. In all, I am very happy with the product and so are my users.

Great Team, Great Service!
The platform is easy to use and customizable for our needs. We use the platform extensively for creating events, fundraising pages, creating alumni directory and posting news and updates for alumni. Almabase team provides great service and is always available to answer our queries and helps us navigate through the best options for solving our requirements.
CONSWe have most of the features we look for in an alumni engagement platform. A mobile app would have been a nice addition so members have easy access on their phones.

The ability to house almost our entire alumni program on one platform has been the most impactful part of using this software. Prior to subscribing to the Almabase services, we had spreadsheets and documents across numerous sites. Now, we have our directory, events, and communication centralized in one place. This has been a game-changer for our program.
CONSThe great thing about any issues we have had is that they are resolved almost immediately. The customer service has been exceptional and the Almabase staff takes the time to reach out to provide best practices and other ideas that similar schools are implementing throughout the year. We appreciate our ongoing relationship with Almabase to positively impact and bring together our alumni.

Amazing tool to build the alumni engagement & enable us to keep the network with alumni
Feel great that we now have the capability to offer a platform for alumni networking. Alumni are able to stay connected after graduation and help other members in the community by sharing wide range of opportunities (career/internship...). This has been the one of the best investment to keep our alumni and students connected.
CONSThere are no cons in particular. Their support is also good and timely. Hopefully they keep continuing the excellent service.

Best choice our school could have made!
Just amazing. Seriously. I have shared our experience with several other fundraisers including another Jesuit high school, a diocesan school in another region and the local university. I know the university followed our campaign and was so impressed they scheduled a meeting with Almabase.
PROSThe Almbase team made our Giving Day a huge success! We had never tried something on this scale before and many were hesitant that we would see a big return. Thanks to rep and the entire team our Giving day increased by 498%, raising over $76,000 (our goal was $30k and previous attempts had only raised, at most, $12k) and more than doubling the amount of donors. They created a customized marketing guide for us so we knew step-by-step what we needed to do and when. Every question and phone call was answered quickly and efficiently. And believe me, we asked SO many questions. It was our first time doing anything on this scale and we had no idea where to start. Thankfully Almabase was part of it all and, with patience and knowledge, guided us through, not just the day but the entire month leading up to and the week after for reconciling the account.
CONSWe didn't encounter any issues except with the ticker clock before hand. Somehow it switched to Pacific time about 3 hours before the campaign began. I called rep at 9:30pm that night (we were scheduled to go live at midnight) and she had it fixed within 15 minutes. From there on it was smooth sailing.

Almabase from a new Admin's perspective
Overall we've had a good experience with the software and the service. Almabase assigned us a dedicated tech, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], who has gone above and beyond to make sure that I understand what to do. He also leads live classes, delivering well-organized, relevant content.
PROSI most appreciate the powerful search capabilities of the Member Directory. I like the flexibility and array of choices in creating other directories.
CONSI would like to have more interactivity available throughout the website. For instance, when a member posts, "We just had a baby!" on the Milestones Directory, other alums should be able to reply, "Yay! Congratulations!" Everyone benefits when we can respond back and forth.

A great alumni management tool with an amazing support team
I love that this software is able to integrate with LinkedIn and Facebook to automatically capture alumni updates. Also that mailing lists are dynamic and change accordingly when an update is made to the profiles. It automates so many things and that takes the hassle out of the administration of the alumni office so that we can focus on actually engaging with alumni. The event management module is especially helpful in managing RSVPs. The support team has also been very gracious and patient with a non-technical person such as myself and taken the trouble to explain each function thoroughly. They are always ready to help.
CONSFor a more technically proficient user, it may be good if more of the customization such as changing fields and even uploading new batches of alumni data could be left to the institution themselves to handle. But for those who may not be technical, the fact that the support team handles this can be a great relief, as it is to me.

Outstanding!
Our team evaluated several networking platforms before trying Almabase. Since our initial inquiry with Almabase about their product, we have been nothing but pleased. The customer service has been outstanding throughout all stages of our project, from helping us understand the platform, it's functions and benefits, setting up a pilot site for us to actually use and test the model, and throughout the implementation process. All was done extremely efficiently, and ahead of our projected time frame. All of our questions have been answered clearly and quickly. The changes we've requested to our site to personalize it to our needs (we are a high school--not a college) have also been addressed in the same manner. Since we are still learning about and understanding the product ourselves, we regularly reach out to our Almabase support contact who never fails to help immediately. We are thrilled with our decision to use Almabase!

CONSThe price, though reasonable, may be a stumbling block to smaller organizations, like ours. We are hoping the success of the product will help support our funding request.

Great platform for NASA internship alumni
Almabase has provided us with a great platform for hosting our NASA internship alumni network and database. Our students like that they can update their own profiles, communicate with their class, and network with alumni in different classes. We like that we can conveniently communicate with all of our alumni and keep track of their accomplishments. Also, Almabase staff responds really quickly to any questions or issues that have come up.

Great Product!
The overall experience has been great! We love the product and the Almabase team has been there every step of the way to help us get the most from the product. I would definitely recommend this software to other schools.
PROSThe Almabase platform is fairly easy to use for a non-technical person. It is a great way to quickly be able to connect with your alumni base. The team at Almabase is fantastic. Their customer service is second to none!
CONSWe just recently found that we could not set up a pledge form where users could set up reoccurring gifts, however, I am sure it is only a matter of time before the team adds this functionality to the product.

It's been an excellent tool for day to day to Alumni management services.
It's very user friendly and helps keep up to date Alumni contacts, who are notified of the latest events and updates on Campus and help interact with other alumni and students.
CONSThey have been very quick to answer any queries. Their customer support is excellent! No cons that I can think of. I have been using it every day and its very rare we come across a glitch which anyways is taken care of immediately.

Great Product, Great Service
We use Almabase as our primary means to communicate with our alumni. We also pitch it to our alumni as a way for them to find one another and engage on their own. Every week through Almabase we send 1-4 emails to various alumni and have at least one event registration active. These areas are the ones we use the most, and Almabase has been great.
PROSAlmabase is user-friendly, easy to learn, and the customer success team is always quick to help us with troubleshooting or even adapting the platform based on our needs.
CONSThere are few parts of the event module that work fine but could be more convenient, but Almabase is already working on adjusting these. Honestly, any issue we have is quickly looked at and updated, and we so appreciate their willingness to adjust their platform when necessary!

Integration and Installation of Almabase
We are able to connect our alums with each other along with updating our database at the same time. The customer service is the real highlight of this product along with their ability to listen to my comments and suggestions to make the tool more responsive to our needs. As they grow and mature this will also become a really awesome tool.
PROSThe search ability for alums across the world to connect with each other along with the ability for it to integrate with our Raisers Edge database.
CONSThere is nothing that we truly like least but there are sometimes limited options for customization.

This tool really seemed to be responsive to our needs and was more user friendly than a larger entity like Blackbaud.

Interactive Platform Promotes Alumni Engagement
Almabase provides numerous ways to engage with program alumni, including email campaigns, interactive communities, donor campaigns, career opportunity boards, and more. These options allow us to create a tailored, meaningful experience for over 9,000 alumni from 165+ countries.
CONSWe would like to see an integrative app where students can directly chat with each other (similar to WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger).
